BEWARE ! ! I should have taken the warnings by other yelpers!! Our price was $175 higher on a preventive maintenance job with NO PROBLEMS! The price estimates given on the phone when you call, "Affordable" Septic Services are NOT the price you will probably end up paying. Like the other Yelp postings warned, the price increases occur while they are on site and at a point where it would be difficult to stop the work. They even raise the price on jobs that are done preventively where there have been NO PROBLEMS!! The person answering the phone reassured me the price our size septic tank would be the estimated price and would not be raised like other yelpers had reported. According to the job foreman-there apparently are "always issues" found, so they raise the price AFTER the holes are dug. Based on our experience, It appears you can't really get the actual price they will charge you before the work has already started and there are big holes in your yard! We have had NO PROBLEMS EVER with our septic after buying the house. NO PROBLEMS ! It has worked PERFECTLY !! We told the person on the phone this before the crew arrived and told the crew that showed up. When they dug two big holes and uncovered the two openings to the septic tank, they FOUND NO PROBLEMS!! They asked when it was last pumped and we told them we were not sure but we had not pumped it in the past 6 years, AFTER THEY DUG THE TWO BIG HOLES IN THE YARD, AND FOUND NO PROBLEMS, THEY TOLD US THEY WERE GOING TO CHARGE $175 MORE THAN THE PRICE THEY HAD ORIGINALLY TOLD US FOR THE JOB BECAUSE WE HAD NOT FOLLOWED THE NATIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS TO PUMP EVERY 5 YEARS. Again- there was NOTHING WRONG with our septic system. When they had us in a bind with the big deep holes dug and the septic system open to the air, and no pumping had been done -they told us it would be $175 more than they had originally told us the job would be. read more

I called to get my septic tank pumped and I was quoted 450 for that service, when the owners son arrived he said to pump my tank would be 1250, so I watched the entire service and all the did was pump the two chambers and added a new filter. I had Anything Septic come Look at it and they fixed my pump that affordable septic had replaced 2 years ago it's different to deal with educated people and whom you can trust. Daughter and son in law bought a different house, and thought the septic should be cleaned out. Turned out to be full to capacity. The two men that came, thought the septic cover was under concrete sidewalk to back yard, and said they will need to cut a section out. I asked them if it could be under adjacent wood steps. Turned out to be under those steps. Had I not asked, they would have cut sidewalk. After seeing how full tank was, they raised their quote from $450 to $700. Although I felt the $700 was reasonable, I thought the low quote was simply bait. All in all, they weren't bad. I'd still call them for septic issues. read more

THIS IS THE COMPANY TO CALL! Professional office team was very knowledgeable and so helpful when I called. And I cannot say enough about the team that showed up at my home. They were there at the exact time I was told and were ready to get the job done! They had to take up some landscape pavers I had mistakenly placed over the tank. I called an made an appt last Wednesday for my Septic to be pumped, they scheduled me for That Saturday. Saturday came and no one showed. I called around 2 pm and they said they didn't have an appt for me. They apologized, but I just didn't understand the issue. When I make an appt and schedule my weekend around it, that wastes my whole weekend. I wouldn't reschedule with them. read more

First- the back story. We had Affordable Septic inspect our septic late May 2021 before purchasing the home. The tank was overfull and we were told the fee was $600 to drain the tank and $600 for the "inspection". I was out of state at the time. They drained the tank, put a new filter in and said the septic system was fine- no drain field issue. A couple weeks ago, early October 2021, we had a couple days of rain- A LOT of rain. My tank backed up. Remember we were told 5 months earlier that our drain field was okay. Now the same guy comes and says that our drain field is bad and he wants $850 to pump out. So $400 jumps to $850. He knew I was stuck, no one else could get there right away. I had to pay as we were one step away from sewage backing up into our home. So, I contacted Barrow County Health services, they come out and tell me that my drain field is fine but I had better divert a downspout away from the tank area. That is good news of course, however I cannot get the thought of how these guys took advantage of my situation. The same pump out that cost $600 a couple months ago goes to $850. I really love this service. They did a really good job. The rain messed up my tank and I couldn't really do anything in my house. I called them one day and the next day they showed up. The service was quick and easy. Very polite worker, and very sweet. Even though my service guy came a little late, it's ok. I completely understand because previously I've called 5 different places and they were crazy busy until Thursday. So i assumed he was busy too. He explained to us that he was busy at the first house and they had a big problem that needed to be fixed. Over all it was nice. I would recommend! I called and asked how much for a septic tank to be pumped. It was $295. So i made the appointment. Owners son and worker came out and found tank and lids. Son had to leave but the worker dug up the water side lid. He took care to carefully remove flowers and mulch around the solid lid before digging. He removed water side lid and looked inside. I was told it looked good. The septic truck got there and they then removed the solid side lid. I was then told that it was above capacity and there would be an extra $200 charge for it. Then i was told there were roots on the top and that would be an extra $200 for that. I was, however, unable to see the roots he was talking about. It jiggled when touched appearing soft and not a hard root layer that he said he would have to "break up the top layer" and thats extra. I did not see them breaking up anything. When asked if they would have to pull the roots out they said no it just gets sucked up too. So i never saw them. They pumped the solid side but replaced the liquid side without placing the hose in that side. When asked why he didn't they said they didn't have to, that doing the solid side would take care of it due to the open slots in the tank. I called the company asking if they do both sides and they said yes they do. I stated i just had my tank pumped by them and they did not put the hose in the other side and it was not pumped. He very quickly resolved the issue and took care of the situation and had the guys come back out and pump the other side. They then replaced the lid and dirt and left everything neat and in order. A small refund was given for the trouble. I am thankful I was there to watch the service being done otherwise I would have never known! read more

I've never had a septic tank pumped and I didn't know what to expect. What I did know was that I had not pooped or showered in two days and it was becoming painful... I called these guys and they came just in the nick of time the same day I called. They uncovered and pumped the tank, cleaned the leach filter, advised me on what killed my system (14 years, six daughters, one son, and two wives), closed it all back up, and then left. The price was spot on, and we even got a few laughs in during the hour or so that they were here. My teen aged kids watched in amazement until they realized what they were seeing. That was a hoot. It was a real Mike Rowe, Dirty Jobs kind of evening. Chris and his helper were great and very professional. Rest assured, when I need another pump out, I'll be calling these guys. This company seems to place no value at all on communication and must have no respect for their customers' time. I cannot say whether their work itself is good or bad, b/c when they finally showed up over five hours late, I simply sent them home. I had an appointment for 1pm to have my septic tank pumped. I took a half day off work to meet them at my house. At 3pm, two hours after my appt, I still had not heard a word from them. I was very upset, of course, and finally called their office. They apologized for the "miscommunication," but I explained that the problem was actually a total lack of communication. They said they were finishing up another job and would be on their way to my house soon. That was shortly after 3pm. I never heard from them again until they suddenly showed up at 6:15pm! No phone calls, nothing! I was so upset that I told them to leave my property immediately. I can't believe that the dozens of 5-star reviews of this company on YP.com are real. Nice enough people, but make sure you get a FULL estimate before work begins. I was quoted one price, and then half way through the job I was told it would be almost double (hundreds of dollars over the initial estimate). They did not contact me first before proceeding with the work, so I got stuck with a bill that I would not have agreed upon before work began. (A few small complaints at the end) Good price for the industry. Charged me $425 for basic maintenance pump, including filter cleaning and basic visual inspection. Kira, their sole customer service rep was polite. Lead technician, James, was polite and pleasant to work with. They communicated clearly up front what to expect and they didn't do any extra work without first discussing. They completed the job in under an hour. Only complaints: Kira completely forgot to schedule us when we spoke the week prior. I called the day of the appointment wondering where they were. She was very apologetic, and after the call, technicians showed up less than an hour later. I did appreciate their rush over. Secondly, an undisclosed "processing charge" of 4% was added to my final bill, increasing it to $443. Still a decent price, but it did not feel nice to be surprised with it when I asked several times in conversations with Kira and James whether I should expect any other fees, and the response being "no." Overall a very good experience, (much better than Simply Septic, which was a joke) and would recommend to anyone in the area. Thank you for the good work, guys. read more

I have had many houses in my life-time, due to my husband's job transfers, and most of them were on septic systems. I have been using another Septic Service Company over the years but they would not come back saying they were very busy and would contact me when they had time to help me. After waiting two months I realized that for whatever reason they were not going to help me again. I then started looking for a local septic service and reading reviews. I found good reviews at most on-line review web-pages for Affordable Septic and I want to give a good review. Wade was very professional, knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. Their fee was reasonable and they not only pumped but cleaned out the filter. I have never had any company even mention the filter before. They came two days after I called and would have come the next day. I would highly recommend this company. I think the price and the work done was excellent. Had a bit of a bad smell in my house in the water and so I called to have our septic tank serviced. Spoke with Dottie on the phone (one of the owners) and they got someone out to our house the same morning. Wade and Morgan arrived and talked us through the situation with our older tank and a deteriorating retaining wall. It seems that we were beyond 3 years and we were on the verge of it backing up. They replaced the damaged area with new PVC pipe to prevent the tank backing up in the future and pumped the tank. All done with professional customer service and care.
