I would recommend them to anyone based on my experience. When you have a flat shared roof things can get very tricky. For reference, our sales representative was Michael Morris and our production coordinator was David Villarreal. Initially, Michael gave us the price of $7,960 to get our roof replaced which genuinely seemed like a great deal. Now, our roof had various soft spots due to deterioration over time and I made sure to mention this to Michael before getting the project started. I asked him if this would cause any issues with the pricing and he stated that it wouldn't. However, the day of the roof installation, Cory who is the company owner, spoke with me and informed me that the price had changed and that it'd be an extra $9,900 just to put an extra layer of plywood since the one on our roof was in bad condition. ALMOST 10 GRAND FOR PLYWOOD!! With that being said, the total price to get our roof replaced came out to be $17,860! At that point the shingles on our roof had already been taken off and there was really no turning back. Another issue I had with this company was the warranty, when I first spoke with Michael he stated that the company guaranteed a 30 year warranty for any damage to the roof. After getting the project done, we come to find out that we only have a 10 year warranty. By the way, we never involved our insurance for this repair because we really thought we were getting a great cash price at first but what's insane to me is that at the end of the day, we still need to involve the insurance for any weather damage to our roof, when that was never mentioned initially. David was also horrible with communication, he would not pick up my calls for the most part. He never answered my text message nor voicemail when I tried reaching him at some point. Lastly, he didn't even bother to reply to an email I sent him after the project was done requesting pictures of our roof for our reference. I had to call him 3 days later to have him send it over and on top of that he sounded bothered. This was overall a whole mess and a very uncomfortable situation having to communicate with David. Despite all this, the roof guys did an excellent job with our roof. I just don't recommend investing your time and money into this company when you can get the job done for WAY LESS elsewhere. I truly hope this doesn't happen to anyone else because no one should have to put up with unprofessional people or last minute price changes.

In February, 2020 we had a very bad experience with a roofing company that claimed it had the…read morebackground and experience to provide a proper and complete TPO type roof to cover our Master Bedroom and Garage so that we would not have any more leaks. Within a few weeks following the completion of the installation, we had several heavy rains which resulted in more damage to our Master Bedroom ceiling and walls. We tried to work with the Contractor to isolate and cure the leaking for several weeks but they could not and would not correct the problems they made due to deficient installation practices. In fact it was later determined by Guardian expertise after they performed an in depth study of the roof and found all of the deficiencies the original Contractor made, that we were on the road to getting that Contractor to refund our entire cost for the job. It took Guardians' 30 page, well illustrated report itemizing the deficiencies and our submission of this information to the Houston BBB to finally get the Contractor to admit his wrong doing and refund our money. Upon being financially refunded we immediately engaged Michael Atkinson and the team from Guardian Roofing Systems to redo the deficiencies they discovered and after many hours of diligent work on these problems, we are extremely happy and satisfied. No more leaks. The lesson learned from this experience was profound. Guardian Roofing Systems is a member of of HARCA (Houston Area Roofing Contractors Association), HARCA, is a regional Chapter of the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas (RCAT). This organization of professional Contractors consists of only Licensed Company's who are not only ethical in their business practices but go way above the norm in customer satisfaction. I would suggest to anyone looking for a new roof to limit your choices to those members of this organization because in the State of Texas you can claim to be a roofer if you have a truck, a ladder and perhaps a web site which can make claims that cannot be met. I was notably nervous, moving into a new home - unsure of this company and how long it would take. Hector, Scott and team not only addressed all of my concerns, but did everything in their power to move as quickly as possible so we could enjoy our new home. The first day was all prep, they covered up every area that the teams would have to move in and out of the house to prevent damage. I was pleasantly surprised to see they cared for my home as much as I did. The damage was extensive (though the promised it wasn't as bad as they had seen lol). We needed to not only dry the water damage, but also re-sand/ stain wood flooring, replace carpeting, sheetrock, baseboards, tile, a bathroom vanity, among other things. The builder does low-quality work is can be seen by the naked eye. When brought to the attention of the company they said it was all minor cosmetic work that they would go back and clean up but the work never got done.
