It was done in less than two weeks, as I have a newborn at home and needed it done immediately. 2. Their employees have great attitudes I'm all about what and who represents their company. Their sales guy lives in the neighborhood. No show first meeting. Late for second meeting. And, subsequently the salesman was several days late providing the estimate which was BY FAR the MOST EXPENSIVE. Over the next few months I asked neighbors, club members and friends if they had experience with Watts and, if so, to share. Appears their experiences are quite similar. Even a childhood friend of Randy's and one of his friends validated similar experience and their sadness over the decline. More than one mentioned writing Randy and not hearing back. When notified about the repeated issues and requesting a different sales agent, Ms. Watts responded indignantly,"youhave to deal with the sales guy as it is his territory...for 20 years...? Really? Mentioned the cost issue...."That is the price!". Ironically, they said it would have to be hand dug because a loader would not get between the homes. Really. The competition had no issue getting a loader into the yard nor building for 30% less. Watts Pool, a company built by a grandfather, a son continuing to improve and grow its first rate legacy lower its quality and customer service. It did take three scathing reviews from homeowners to make us a priority, at least 3rd Coast came through. As a Board Member of an HOA, I cannot say I would ever hire this company again. It was exhausting and took endless negotiations. I'm sure this company does good residential work, yet, they didn't really know how to handle a commercial project. Mike and his team quickly, efficiently and at a good price moved an AC unit and a sewage line to make room for a bigger patio. They then constructed an attached pergola, a brick and tile patio and a wall. He also installed sod and a sprinkler system. All of this was done very quickly, with beautiful construction and within the prices he gave us. He came over and listen to the ideas I was looking for and was able to stay within budget. I am so happy I went with TCP because it was definitely a stress free project. They were exactly what I was looking for. Yes, I could've gone to some on Craigslist and let a stranger into my yard... or get referrals from other people but I chose to pay a little more to get what I want without any issues. What I loved: - Contract: which protects them and you as the buyer. I have heard plenty of horror stories with contractors without the proper paperwork and ends up in a lawsuit. The contract clearly states the cost breakdown, building procedures, and what to expect. Nothing tricky or hidden. Accountability was my worry. - Warranty: Warranty on the project and also my approval. If there was something I didn't like, they would correct it. For example, the concrete that was laid out was probably laid out at the wrong time as it was pouring down rain later that day, which resulted in visible cracks through out the pavement. Jeremy reviewed it and confirmed that multiple cracks. He received approval from his boss and they re-did it---without any additional cost to me. - HOA: They took care of HOA approval by submitting the documents. Though there was a hiccup on HOA saying they didn't get it paperwork, Jeremy did a 2nd attempt and made sure they received it electronically. - Craftsmanship: They matched my roofing and design so the patio look "one" with the house. It really looks like the builder put it there! They were even able to match my paintcolor and bricks. Jeremy provided samples of the wood for the ceiling for me to pick out and the quality and colors really pulled the patio together. In addition to the patio extension, we had concrete extended to the side of the house so we could put our own fire pit out. I was still debating on a pergola cover...still am. My patio cover came with 2 additional outlets, 2 fan installations (I provided the actual fans), and gutters. Everything turned out amazing. I was so happy with the work. We were able to get the project done right before my wedding so we could have guests enjoy the patio and weather in March.

In February of last year, my mother hired TCP for a screened in patio project that included a…read morefireplace, grill, and mini fridge. The project was supposed to take approximately 2 months. It has now been over 9 months, and the project is still incomplete. Throughout the process, TCP was extremely unprofessional, and the quality of work is unacceptable. The patio foundation was later described by their own contractor, Dean, as being done incorrectly poured and "messed up." We have him on recording stating that the foundation and other parts of the project were done poorly. The concrete now has major foundational cracks (confirmed by independent inspectors), further confirming that the work was done improperly. In addition to the poor construction, TCP caused serious damage and safety hazards, including: - A gas leak (while adding a speaker that they "forgot" in the process of construction into the ceiling, their contractor tried to force the speaker in near a gas line in the ceiling and caused a gas leak). -Flooding that left our yard underwater and muddy for months and still comes into the screened in porch (also causing structural issues) -Extensive damage to our yard and sprinkler system -Construction trash left all over our property for months -Nails and razor blades left on the ground, which resulted in our dog cutting their paw -Blood splattered all over the inside of the porch from a worker that was never cleaned up -We had to hire help to come in and clean up their construction trash and mess -The inspection has failed 3x by The Woodlands and it still won't pass inspection Because the conditions became so unsafe and unsanitary, we were forced to hire help to clean up after TCP abandoned the project. After Rob Douglass, the owner, came out to look at the work, he made rude and inappropriate comments to my mother, even mocking her for what she requested that would bring the project up to code to pass inspection and properly fix the issues. This behavior was completely unacceptable and disgusting. Since then, TCP has stopped responding entirely. No communication, no accountability, and no effort to complete or repair the project. Due to the seriousness of the situation, we are now working with an attorney. What was promised as a short stress free project has turned into a year-long ordeal involving unsafe conditions, structural issues, abandoned work, and a complete lack of professionalism. I strongly advise anyone considering TCP to look elsewhere.
