Given the weather, Monarch was able to come out the next day - Shane came himself to look at the leak from inside the house and attic as it was still not safe to go up on the roof in the weather. Then, 2 days later, they were able to get a crew out to inspect the roof and make the necessary repairs. Communication was a bit frustrating at times as the time table kept changing and we were running up against another round of multi-day rain chances, but it all got fixed in the end. We ended up replacing 9 rain collars and some roofing around my furnace vent, totaling $750. Seemed a bit steep, but when it comes to roof leaks and impending rain I didn't have much wiggle room to start over and get new quotes. I did appreciate that the crew doing the work took before and after pictures - that provided good peace of mind.

The guys arrived at 7am and had the roof stripped within an hour. They spent most of the rest of the day cutting out rot and replacing it with new wood. Because they had laid out tarps and plywood to protect my lawn and AC, clean up was really fast and effective. The next day they finished up shingling the roof on the house and shed. I explained that I never received a text, and Jeff admitted he had sent it to the wrong number. Despite acknowledging his mistake, he said the earliest he could reschedule me was a week later. While it was frustrating, I agreed to reschedule. When his team came to provide a quote, they quoted me $375. I mentioned I had a $50 off coupon from their website, so I expected the total to be $325. Jeff informed me that all discounts were already included in the $375 price. I asked why they advertise a $50 off coupon if they don't honor it, and his explanation was that the coupon was for same-day cleanings only. His crew had already mentioned that 99% of their jobs are same-day cleanings, so I questioned why they advertise a coupon that would apply to almost no one. Instead of addressing my concern, Jeff responded in a condescending manner and continuously blamed me for misunderstanding. My issue is simple: they don't honor what they advertise and treat customers poorly when legitimate concerns are raised. If you can't provide a real discount, remove the coupon from your website, and treat customers with respect. I would not recommend this business.

The only thing they managed to do was a soil sample and charged us $5,000 as a down payment. We continued having meetings with the sales person to get the "custom" part of the floor plans correct, but each time we made any type of change, this seemed to have confused the architects and the blueprints were never corrected or completed to our satisfaction. Their only salesperson quit working for Texas Farm House and sought employment elsewhere, so we had to correspond with the owner, Sean Dunbar and he quickly became combative and uncooperative. There were all types of issues from color of cabinets to when they could begin construction. Only $884 was refunded before we ended up firing them. We do not recommend this builder! Buyer beware!!!

The problem came after the roof was completed and I needed warranty work for flashing that popped up on my roof. Reel Roofing was no where to be found. I called numerous times and was told I would get assistance. No one every contacted me and followed through with their warranty commitment. Keep in mind I called about 3 months after my roof was replaced. I ended up paying another roofing company to come make the repair. I would recommend going with a local company for roofing repairs. If you do decide to hire Reel Roofing, hold on to your money until you are 100% satisfied with the work. I would get 3 sets of eyes on the roof before you pay as they will not come back to fix anything once they are paid. This company is out of Texas.
