When we first moved to jackson heights this and three other stores were really the most important Bengali stores around here. Now left and right more stores are popping up trying to compete against them, and some how managing to keep their heads afloat. This store had no renovations done even though they can use one badly. All they really did was really build a restaurant right next to their store, that is even to say if it is part of them because even I'm not 100% actuate about it just going by the name really. Going back to their store it is narrow, can get heavily crowded during the weekends, and overall difficult to move around or even stand around in. Thank god it is not smelly at all hahaha. But it is worn down and could really use some paint and some new hardware. The people are pretty friendly but half the time they are rushing you when it comes to certain time periods, by which I mean they are literally rushing the packaging and calculations as if they were closing in the next five minutes. They sometimes do one or more at the same time, I wonder if they ever messed up because of that somehow. NEVER EVER COME DURIMG THE WEEKEND OR FRIDAY NIGHTS! It is a dog house then with the people working there haha. The staff has changed and definitely it is harder to talk with them since they don't remember me or the ones that did left. They aren't condescending at least. The materials that they possess are not fresh, or at least the vegetables aren't to say the least. Small stores like these I would not go for vegetables at all. Meat, fish, mashallahs (spices), snacks, and other things they have a good amount of and are really fresh. Actually, fish are some what fresh since it has to be frozen in a packet for it to be delivered here from asia or where ever they get it from; but they do have live ones even though the choices are not that many. Their meat is delivered almost every tuesday and Friday, or from what I seen when I walked by each time. It is completely halal and very good to eat. They got goat, beef, and chicken and they have every part that you can think of. We Bengali's use every part and eat almost everything. So if you want to try Bengali food I suggest coming to this area and this store for materials.

Washing it did not help remove the bad oder.The oder became even worse when the fish was put in the pot to be cooked. We live out of town,it's impossible for us to return the smelly fish to the store within 1.5 hours of purchase as requested. So we had to throw away the smelly fish. This is not the first time we've bought unfresh food from this store. It happens to foods on sale quite often there. They need to improve the quality of foods they sell.

They have a huge selection of olives. The aroma from the olives were powerful and influencial. I had to get a jar! The service was decent. Cashiers were kind and communitive, ensuring that you get the right groceries on the belt. I mentioned because I shopped at a different grocery store and when I arrived home, no hotdogs. I went back but didn't get the dogs, she said that they don't make mistakes. I never shopped at that store again. Aron's offered a decent shopping experience. Shoppers come in casual, dressed, or uniform. There are improvements needed! 1.Try to have more product on the shelf to display product availability. The shelves empty in some spots. 2. Increase brands availability, I wanted Krusteaz cornbread. They didn't carry it. Now I must go to another store and make another stop. The shopping continues... Inspire more, Yelp more.

However, just like with any other grocery stores, costumers should be aware with product freshness, expired products and items that has sub-par quality. Plentiful street parking is available outside the store. As what I noticed the owner tries to keep the store clean, neat and organized. Some of the item prices are more affordable as compared to other well known groceries. This is where I prefer to purchase raw unshelled peanuts , so that I can cook fried garlic peanuts, and prefer to get fresh red delicious apples. Costumer service is not that preferable (a one time experience), I may describe some staff as dismissive, may lack empathy, or show no interest in solving the customer's problem, and I understand that each costumer experience may vary. Sometimes language barrier could be an issue. I've had an unfortunate experience here while recuperating from a recent surgery. After I was done purchasing some items and while I was pushing the grocery cart towards outside, a staff who is very anxious to help bring back the cart in place has forcibly pushed my cart resulting to minimal pain on my surgical site. I raised my voice at what the staff did, because of the commotion, I found out from another staff that the person who pushed my cart has language challenges, my sentiments were dismissed by the staff who informed me.
