Now that's funny! But the mini eggplants were decrepit and turning fast, I bought some deep purple bigger ones for counter balance. The smoked fish display is always my favorite stop, Chubs are $4.99 a pound and they last a goodly while in the fridge, so I bought my usual three. I LOVE that they're perched upon the top of the counter, not displayed behind the glass of a case.
