Looking for a different grocery store to shop, 12/20/25 I found myself in Aron's. As I looked around I got the feeling that this is a kosher supermarket. They have a huge selection of olives. The aroma from the olives were powerful and influencial. I had to get a jar! The service was decent. Cashiers were kind and communitive, ensuring that you get the right groceries on the belt. I mentioned because I shopped at a different grocery store and when I arrived home, no hotdogs. I went back but didn't get the dogs, she said that they don't make mistakes. I never shopped at that store again. Aron's offered a decent shopping experience. Shoppers come in casual, dressed, or uniform. There are improvements needed! 1.Try to have more product on the shelf to display product availability. The shelves empty in some spots. 2. Increase brands availability, I wanted Krusteaz cornbread. They didn't carry it. Now I must go to another store and make another stop. The shopping continues... Inspire more, Yelp more. read more

Aron's Kissena Farms is a large kosher supermarket with plenty of parking in the back and a bus stop in the front. I reviewed their weekly circular online beforehand and was able to find some good sales on groceries. I couldn't buy too much this trip but found a lot of items I want to try next time, including the pita shop. Interestingly, I overheard a customer ask where the mayonnaise was, and the stocker replied that they don't have it. So don't go to Aron's for mayo! read more

The supermarket is amazing. The people are amazing. Very good service. If you need help, they help you the food is fresh. The prices are in between, but you get what you pay for it is kosher so anybody that likes or wants kosher food this is the place to go to for a fair price. They are 100% kosher and they're very nice people. That's why I give them five stars I've been going there for a very long time and I go there at least once a week and I'm very happy with the service the Food they're very clean thank you. read more

Aron's Kissena Farms is your average (and generic) small sized market that sells mainly the essentials that you need to purchase when you want to make something quick for dinner or you forgot to purchase something and you stop here on your way home from work or school (or if you're forced to run out and get something last minute.) They have a lot of different produce options here so whatever you may need, should be here. The apples that I was looking at all seemed from and I believe I only saw one or two that had a little browning on them, which I count as a win for a marketplace. They have many different organic options here so if you are into natural and organic items, this is a really nice place to stop and look at the items you may need to pick up. Staff is pretty friendly however they do not do the worlds greatest job at making sure social distancing is being kept here so if that is something you want, I would try to get here during some of their non busy time so you do not need to worry. read more

I do not really come here to often because it is out of my way, however I do prefer this grocer than Keyfood across the street. The store is kept clean and fresh items are routinely stocked. Although I do not keep Kosher, as someone that does, this supermarket makes it easy to shop in because there are not any non-Kosher items stocked anywhere in the store. They have several house made goods sold, which I like because it shows they extra step in services as compared to big brand name supermarkets. The lot does get busy during peak hours, so come during off peak hours for a better shopping experience. You cannot go wrong stopping in here for any item. read more

Bad customer service. They sent a driver to deliver my food order who allegedly did not speak English.. There were big holes in the delivery box but the driver said nothing and did not try to explain why there were holes in my box of food. All of a sudden the driver, who did not speak English and who had not said one word to me, picked up the box and told me in English that I did not want the food. Then he left, taking my box of food with him. I never told him that I did not want the food. I did want the food. Why would I have ordered the food, if I had not wanted it? The store punished me for the driver's taking my food back to the store, by refusing to accept any more delivery orders from me. These people are not nice. read more

TLDR: I suggest you do NOT spend any of your money here. EXTREMELY nasty management. Middle management: hostile to customers, who are considered a nuisance. Problems are obviously the CUSTOMER'S fault, not because of incompetence by employees. Upper management: refuses to answer questions by email. I've seen Aron's employees WITH THEIR ARON'S WORK CLOTHES ON shopping at Key Food two parking lots over... obviously, Aron's neither pays its low-wage employees enough for them to be able to afford to SHOP at Aron's nor provides them with a large employee discount. I call this place "Seasons for Poor Jewish People" :-) They have great prices and great kosher items. Selection of fruits and prepared foods are awesome. I really like the Sushi area and take out area. My recommendation, this place needs "Happier" Cashiers - They are all disgruntled & have no personality. I would speculate as to why, but - I think its irrelevant for the purposes of this review. Anyways . . . I think if the staff was more helpful and cheerful, I would give this place another Star. IF YOU CARE ABOUT SOCIAL DISTANCING AND SAFETY... DO NOT SHOP HERE!! Even though they have floor signs near the register saying to keep 6 apart they are DEFINITELY NOT enforced. The MANAGER (Stacy) herself, was crowding people by the register! She kept telling people there was not one line down the middle (even though they had been doing this for a while beginning back in March in order to observe social distancing). But now, they only care about sales and volume. The store was PACKED! Many people with no masks or improperly wearing them, including staff. Aisles were PACKED! Shopping carts and people pushing and shoving into each other. This was today! Not last year, not 6 months ago, TODAY! NYC is still enforcing social distancing and so must all operating businesses. They don't have anyone keeping track of how many people enter and exit the store; they don't tell people to pull up their masks and they only care about volume. I'm not exaggerating! There was a woman who did not want to be right up against the customer in front of her and the manager kept insisting to move up and step up. Good for the woman... she refused and said "I'll pay when they're ready for me". Good for her! I was also made to move up and stood about a foot from the guy in front of me. And he was so close to the guy paying that his cart was touching him. You have to understand that the owners of this "family business" are MILLIONAIRES! And we are the people making them rich. You would think they would invest some time and money into caring for their customers and their customer service. Let's not mention how overpriced everything is. I understand kosher produce or imported items, but why does cereal and baby food cost triple the amount it does at Walgreens or Shoprite?? Also, check your expiration dates! I know you think so many things get sold off the shelves, but it's happened several times where the boxes spinach or arugula leaves were brown and smelled rotten, or the cheeses were past expiration. And it's been on more than one occasion that the items were mislabeled and priced incorrectly so I ended up paying more, then wasting time at the customer service desk getting refunded for overcharges. The previous manager, a gentleman with glasses, was always kind and helpful. Stacy has a chip on her shoulder and she only cares about volume and sales! Very unhelpful and disrespectful. Get rid of her! And If you want better yelp reviews, maybe start by listening to and helping your customers. No surprise your reviews are this bad. read more

I shop here a few times whenever I'm in the area and always visit the nuts factory with my wife for the dried fruits. This time, I noticed a new Indian looking guy there, and I mentioned to my wife that they are so inconsistent with their workers and not to mention their attitude... yikes! But this time, customer service was so great he's such an improvement than the other workers that work there. He was so polite and apologetic, not to mention approachable. He helped us out so much and answered all our obnoxious questions, which the other workers would just make you want to leave. Needless to say he's the best and most helpful and my wife had to make sure to ask why isn't he always here but says "he's on the afternoon shifts" so I'd make sure to go in the afternoon for the better customer service! read more

My husband and I came here to stock up on kosher food during the pandemic. We have shopped here before and have always been very happy with the selection. We were both incredibly impressed with the health safety measures that Aron's is taking. We waited in line outside for about 15 minutes on a line that was distanced 6 ft apart per person. Everyone who goes in has to wear a mask and gloves at all times. The store employees were constantly cleaning. There was plenty of food and necessities and we left spending a lot of money and very satisfied with the experience. We waited in line for checkout that was guided by the store manager and he made sure that everyone was socially distant. The registers had plastic shields to protect the workers. We would come back again very soon as this store set a perfect example for how all grocery stores should be operating. We felt very safe read more

Store has expanded aisles and is pretty well stocked. Offering of organic produce is available.Hours were extended which gives shopping more flexibility. Parking lot allows you to bring shopping cart right to your car. Store discounts price with their buying program. They also offer delivery service, although I've not used it. read more

Oh my gosh I love this supermarket! When you need the kosher they truly have almost anything. I mainly come for meat because good kosher meat at decent prices is hard to come by. I am very happy with their meat selection from chop meats to chickens the times I have been there always a great selection. The butcher seems friendly As for packaged foods stuff they have just about everything. Check your prices you can often find things such as cereals cheaper other places. Another thing is the large frozen section here you will find stuff you don't see everywhere including ice pops at 4.50 a pop a little to rich for me There is sushi there is bakery there is halvah yummy and offered in at least 8 flavors now that stuff is sliced off the big wheels right in front of you it's not cheap but occasionally it's worth getting. Ample fruits and veggies This is a big supermarket easy to get through the aisles plenty of checkout lanes. The staff is very friendly and nice. I shop here all the time. The manager Stacey is the most obnoxious person I've ever encountered. About a year ago, I was told to send her an email about A small problem in tye store. She would NOT get on the phone to speak to me. The cashiers are not too bright. Last week a new cashier is rubbing her eyes as she's ringing up my order. I really should tell them off. I definitely will next time. And in Menchys hot food concession they have a female who let's her hair hang down in the food. She does NOT tie it back nor wear a net over it. Arons Kissena Farms is a great shopping super store for all your grocery needs. The Place has been around for years and is GLATT KOSHER (yes, thats a big deal) and they have a private parking lot, so you dont have to worry about the ever frustrating parking situation. The prices are very reasonable considering how other places boost up their prices because its "kosher". There are plenty of employees running around to help you out in any department, at any given time. They also have a baked goods section , fresh made sushi , and other stuff always cooking if you dont feel like making dinner tonight. It does get very stuffy , especially when you get to the check out line , though, so have some patience. The line will move along. If ever on Kissena Blvd, stop by and stock up for the house. If based entirely on the selection, this would be five stars. Prices are reasonable. Two huge points of contention -- The parking lot is a joke. I was in an express line and it took forever. I noticed she made no effort to talk to customers. That's fine, sometimes people are having bad days. But then, without saying a single word, the cashier shuffles some papers and money, then walks away from her stand. WITHOUT SAYING A WORD. A short bit later, another cashier comes by, I guess to start her shift. No apology but at least she was somewhat friendly. Why do a yelp review for a supermarket? Because in NYC, and particularly in Queens, not all supermarkets are the same. And indeed, when searching for a kosher market, there's a huge difference in quality, selection, and service. Here's why I like Aron's: prices are really great. The sales are even better - especially on the meat. The selection continues to expand, and it means I can find some of my favorite Israeli brands now, which keeps me coming back. I also appreciate (especially in crowded Queens) the space in the aisles - I often have my mother-in-law with me, and she uses a walker. Not only can she easily move through the store, but there's enough room for people to get around her in the aisles. Here's why I LOVE Aron's: I am a Jew by choice, married to another Jew by choice. We are both women. We regularly shop in kosher stores, but we don't "look" observant. I've been given the side-eye, ignored, and treated with hurried gruffness in many locations. I've also given warm smiles, welcoming nods, and treated with friendly service at others. Aron's is definitely in the latter category. I have never had a negative experience with a staff member. Indeed, I've also had friendly help from fellow shoppers, who don't seem bothered that I'm wearing blue jeans and not a skirt. Hey, we're both looking at the brisket - and learning a new recipe while waiting at the counter is an important Jewish bonding moment! This is my go to grocery store. Everything Kosher I need, is here! And.. the sales are remarkable. I bought delicious, pitted, date buckets at 6 bucks on sale-- usually sold at 8 or 9.. naturally, Aron's is so generous they have a rewards program where you get money back to spend in store...so one of the three buckets was essentially only one dollar!! Prices are so reasonable, seasonal items fly, and the assortment of pastries and breads-- mouthwatering fresh so don't go there hungry, you may purchase bucket fulls of your fav items like I did. For all the large kosher supermarkets that I've been to in Queens, Aron's has them all beat ,,, not just because of its size, but also due to its vast selection. They have excellent prices on kosher meats and when they have a sale ... well, just phenomenal deals!! They keep on expanding because their customer size undeniably increases. I do want to mention some things that you should know -- #1. Their produce products aren't that great, but they do have excellent prices ,,, so I guess you can say that you get what you pay for when it comes to their produce. #2. They have a rewards program that is amazing! #3. Before Friday evening, the rudeness of the employees is outstanding! I can't even begin to explain it .. I understand that they have to close the store. But there was this particular incident before closing time that I wasn't even allowed into the store, even though it was 10minutes before closing time!! #4. Chicken breast is always cheaper at Seasons. I would give this place 5 stars, but what they do Friday afternoon is unacceptable!! ---IMPORTANT INFO--- Some of the customer service is appalling. One of the managers won't even bother speaking with you if she doesn't know who you are ... seems a bit cultish to me ,,,, the other "manager" will boast about her knowledge of higher education. As @Louis R. mentioned, this place needs happier staff --many of them are quite unhappy and will treat you like actual garbage even if you spend many thousands of dollars here. After reading many reviews, it is obvious that this store has so much potential, but the customer service needs a major revamp. Worst service ever DO NOT order online from them . NO one calls when the order is dropped off, if you ask to replace items on the order for similar ones they don't honor it. They also do not read instructions and actually delivered my food to the wrong address to begin. Overall never using them again would go with other stores for online orders. read more

Whenever I go shopping at Liquidators ...I always stop by the old Kissena farms to pick up some fresh produce, vegetables & fruits!! and some fresh herbs...and all kinds of nuts!!! then one day...it was closed for renovation. There is a small MiddleEastern grocery next to it where I use to get this Greek caviar ....some Plump dates from Jordan, Pecans Walnuts & Almonds.... I needed to get some nuts for my stuffing for Thanksgiving so I asked my husband to drive me to the MiddleEastern grocery and was surprised to see that Kissena Farms opened now and also has a new name "Aron's Kissena Farms" Needlessto say...I went into a frenzy and got almost all my Thanksging ingredients from there. The prices too are amazing ... compared to other grocery stores. They also have a bakery in the premises...freshly baked goods, all kinds from cookies, cakes to breads...Their Meat section , large selection of kosher...all kinds of Beef cuts, chicken...and their prepared foods section...mouth watering variety of dishes you can purchsse if you do not have time to cook or lazy to cook.... It is a great place for shop....no problem with parking...the staff are all pleasant....It's all worth the trip.... read more

This supermarket is fantastic! (Note: It's actually Aron's Kissena Farms, although Yelp lists it as "Aaron's") First, I love that I know everything here is kosher and that I don't get disappointed when things "look good" and then I can't buy them because they aren't kosher. Second, the prices here are amazing. We live in Manhattan but it's worth is to go to Queens and either pay the $45 taxi or just rent a ZipCar because we save THAT much money when we go here. The meat is excellent and the prices are well below Manhattan supermarkets. I also love that they offer extra lean ground beef because I prefer less fat to protect my health a bit... and I just like the taste better. It is hard to find extra-lean kosher ground beef in the city, and when I do find it, it's MUCH more expensive. It's actually a very large store, so it makes for one stop shopping. The produce is also fantastic. The prices are usually at least half what they are in the city and the produce is much more fresh. Nectarines I bought there lasted a full two weeks, where as they would go bad in about 2 or 3 days from most places in the city. All around, it's a great place, and we will continue to make the trip out to Aron's Kissena Farms for our big shopping trips. read more

Aron's continues to challenge my loyalty. I'll start with the positive. I am addicted to Mehadrin frozen vanilla yogurt and it's always in stock at Aron's. I love the bakery at Aron's, particularly the rye bread. Some of the sweeter items as well. I suppose the above is why I go at all as there are a number of issues that have me conflicted and often lead me to wonder about alternatives. Case in point, todays visit. I picked up a bag of McIntosh apples. Got home to find them mealy and mushy, awful. All I could do besides throwing away $4.49 was to make a sub-par apple sauce. When I went to the register I was reminded never to go to the express line in the afternoon. The woman at the register has a malignantly negative attitude and disposition. I am a New Yorker. I am inured to unpleasantness at the register, so much so that such interactions tend not to register, but this woman's negativity lingers in me and leaves such a negative impression about shopping at Aron's. I gave my recently acquired Aron's card and got no discount because it is only recently acquired. I lost my old one and they had no information on my ever having a card though I did for years! Maybe I should lower my expectations? Or maybe I should get my frozen yogurt and rye bread somewhere else. read more

Love shopping here. Often I find kosher grocery stores have incredibly high prices for every-day items (cereal, produce, etc.). I find that their prices are incredibly reasonable all around. They have delicious baked goods and lots of premade items (dairy pizzas, potato cigars, and a whole counter of meat items too). Their parking lot is in need of direction...cars of driving in too many directions, there should be a one way direction to keep traffic flowing! But it doesn't deter me from doing my regular (and special) shopping here! read more

I freaking love Aron's Kissena Farms. I've only been here a couple of times but I am looking forward to shopping here for at least the next year. First, it's a huge space. It can get a little crowded so I hope you are good at navigating through carts, people, and shelves. Second, the huge space is full of shelves and aisles and tables and fridges that are full of options. There is so much food here it's unbelievable. Third, all of the food is fresh and pretty high quality. Fourth, it's all rather cheap. For example, Greek yogurt can be as little as 4/$5 which is ridiculously low priced. The only downside is the checkout. The aisles for the cash registers are impossible skinny and there's also no room to make lines. read more

Give credit where credit is due This store has improved very much over the past couple of years. First they have toned down the security a bit and it no longer feels like going through TSA when you have to check outside bags. Also the "greeter" is no longer there. He was the reason I dislike Aron's to begin with. The fact is that they have the best produce around. They have unbeatable sales. Now the lines are still long. Very long. And the store is very congested. They tend to stock produce at rush hour which makes the store almost unbearable to navigate. They need to expand or open another location. The ready made food is way too expensive. They also have a rewards program where u get $5 back for every $250 you spend. That's free money. I come here a lot now and brave the lines because they are the only seller of quality produce in the neighborhood. Kudos. Ps don't bring grouchy old greeter back! read more

Without any advance notice, Aron's left out many crucial items in my holiday order, forcing me now to trek to more local stores to get what I need to start cooking.
