I showed up there with absolutely no knowledge of sewing or how to work a sewing machine. But if you come with interest and an excitement to learn, you'll enjoy it. She gave us hand outs with everything we needed to know, took us through all supplies for basic sewing, taught us the parts of the sewing machine and how to thread a sewing machine. I didn't even know there was a whole process even before beginning to use one?! Lol. She went at our pace, helped us each time we made a mistake, all while having a regular conversation. None of us ever felt left behind or stressed. I was beyond excited when the class was finished. I bought some supplies from her store and even Diana's sewing book (which I highly recommend if you're dedicated). I can't wait to practice on this new hobby and make it my own!
