I was tired of not being able to find a suit that fits the body that I have rather than the body…read morethat retail shops want me to have. I'm 5'1" and athletically built with high shoulders and few curves to speak of. Enter Bindle & Keep, which I heard about on the recommendation of a friend. I entered their artistically minimalist warehouse tailoring ship to meet my tailor. He was pleasant and conversational, giving me advice about fabrics - what colors work well during specific seasons or with which accessories and for which occasions. I came away with a Donegal Tweed style fabric in a light charcoal with little "pops" of color threaded through. This shop measures not only your basic chest-shoulders-inseam-waist. They also measure customers at different points in order to create a truly custom made product. The way in which this process is done is non-invasive and tasteful. In addition, although they tell you that it could take up to 12 weeks to create the suit, mine was ready in less than 8 weeks. The final product - a three-piece suit with a shirt - was ideal. And they keep your measurements in case you would like to purchase something else in the future. Although the final product is not cheap, my suit is of a high quality that I would expect from a bespoke shop. I give Bindle & Keep my highest recommendation.

I came in with little idea of what I wanted to do, an they helped me cultivate my look based on the wedding setting and time of year, pick the fabric to make sure we were balancing style and comfort, and kept me in the loop with production, from start to finish. The suit was finished ahead of schedule, they made final adjustments, and it fit me perfectly. I felt cared for throughout the entire process. I would definitely recommend Bindle and Keep for any big events you have planned.

The owner took my measurements and altered the dress (for free!) and because I don't live in NY, he shipped it to me. I only wish he had items for sale listed on his website so I could order more. The owner, and his family, are lovely humans. The bar staff is also super kind and great drink makers! All around, it's a very cool spot. I wish I could hang out there more.

This 10 yr old boutique is the epitome of what BK is - custom, locally produced goods with a music vibe. The owner produces tie dyed African inspired clothing, of which he can tailor for you on the spot. I recently bought a linen dress that I love & can't wait to wear.. and pair of funky huge star earrings. Def a place to go to for unique, well made items. Prices are on the high end but if you take into account the craftsmanship and the quality.. it's reasonable. Anthropologie items can cost 2 - 3x what's in the store... There's a spot out back that is used for classes / workshops / events but I haven't attended any yet.
