I've had my share of Korean fried chicken and I'd put this place up there with all of them. Staff…read morewas super-friendly and helpful. Greeted with a smile once we walked in. Everything's made-to-order, so don't expect grab-and-go fast food. Food was still steaming by the time we made it home. The chicken tasted seasoned to the bone. We tried about 3 sauces and really loved them all. We thought the soy honey and sweet & spicy gave a really nice tang to the chicken, without being too overpowering. And of course, even sauced up, everything stayed nice and crispy. Even my in-laws (who are boomer-level picky) liked it. Will definitely be heading back there soon.

The chicken was so juicy and fresh, even the tenders, and it had the right amount of crisp without being overly battered. I got the soy garlic and sweet and spicy, and both sauces were really tasty and had me wishing I got extra for dipping. The sweet and spicy was definitely my fav, but it could have been more spicy. The box for the family set was so sturdy and nice, and the amount of food you get for the price is incredible. Even the fries that come with the set were nice and crispy without being overly greasy. The employee at the front was also so nice and welcoming. My expectations were nonexistent going into this since food options on the island have been a little bleak, but I'm absolutely blown away and will absolutely be a regular.

One and Done We went…read moreon a Sunday and expected it to be crowded, which was fine. We ordered at the counter: one avocado toast, pancakes (which had to be plain because they ran out of the other options), and French toast. We were told the wait would be about 30 minutes but could be closer to 20, and that our name would be called when the order was ready. We sat with our drinks and waited... and waited... and waited. Eventually I walked over to the wall of take-out bags and asked if our food was there. It clearly had been sitting there for quite some time based on the look of the bag and the reaction from the staff member. I could look past that -- it was busy, I get it. But when we got home, the food was completely inedible. The French toast was overcooked and rock hard. As we were trying to cut through it, we found a hair in the food. Into the garbage it went. Next were the pancakes -- burned on one side. Also went straight into the garbage. Finally we opened the avocado toast, which was literally half an avocado smashed onto a thick, rock-hard slice of toast. $65 later and every single item ended up in the trash. First and last time there.

Prices are quite reasonable, making it accessible without compromising quality. The ambience is thoughtfully designed, reflecting a traditional Sri Lankan aesthetic that enhances the dining experience. However, what truly sets this establishment apart is its outstanding hospitality. Julia and her mother, whom we had the pleasure of meeting during our visit (5/12/26), exemplify warmth and friendliness. Their courteous demeanor is balanced with a commendable level of professionalism, creating an inviting atmosphere that fosters connection and satisfaction. This restaurant is not just a meal; it's an experience that captures the essence of Sri Lankan culture in the heart of New York.

The inside is overwhelming full of statues and Sri Lankan decor. It wasn't too big inside but it was big enough despite all the decor. Hated all the meat options here. I saw this on a blog saying it's one of the best buffet options in the five borough. No thanks, I would not come here if you're a huge meat eater, as I am. I love curries, but the meat and meat curry options were just not the best. (Honestly think there was only 2 meat options vs like 6 vegetarian options.I saw the reviews said the vegetarian options were amazing, but I thought they were just okay, but definitely better than the meat options. The best item was probably the dessert. Can't say I loved the food here, but if you're vegetarian and love curries, you'd enjoy this place.
