The team was AMAZING with my very scared daughter to pull her stuck tooth. I cannot recommend after hours dentistry enough.

I came here on a Saturday because my tooth cracked. Dental care is my kryptonite, and I was so worried about having issues, knowing that I couldn't see my normal dentist until Tuesday. With my anxiety at an 11, I would say that I was quite impressed. They were able to make a same day appointment and had very friendly reception. After new patient paperwork, they saw me quickly, and gave me a few options. Most importantly, they didn't pressure me to do anything today. I was able to go to my normal dentist on Tuesday. If I have another emergency OR if I worked non-bank hours, I would surely use them again. They do act as an everyday dentist. Though pricey, the cost for the consultation fee ($100) was well worth the confidence that my mouth wasn't going to die in the following four days. I think it goes to service if you do get some work done. read more

i went in with tooth pain needing a root canal. i had a crown on the tooth that needed work. had to come back two separate times for over 2 hours. they said they were unable to complete it because it was too complicated and referred me to a specialist. mind you they went in blindly (without removing my crown) and fudged my natural tooth up. they still charged me $700. they did not explain things well and the dr "nicholas tipton" kept coming and going to other patients during my procedure. i had to find a different place and ended up needing an extraction because this place messed my tooth up so bad there was no saving it. absolutely DO NOT recommend after hours dentistry. i'm only 20 i shouldn't be having to get a tooth pulled especially due to poor practice and definitely not being charged for it. absolutely ridiculous!!!!! read more

Pressured me into getting a filling replaced when it was not necessary. Dentist left me waiting in the chair for 20+ minutes at a time when I should have been finished and out of there in an hour. Unfortunately i'll be coming back just because of the hours. read more

I suffered through a week of tooth pain, thinking I could make it until the Coronavirus craziness passes. WRONG! After experiencing increasing pain all day and it getting on into the evening hours, I had to take pain meds at home. In the meantime, my wife searched out After Hours Dentistry and asked if I wanted to go. I unhesitatingly said YES! My appointment was scheduled for 11:00 p.m., but after about an hour I got a call telling me they could see me at 10:00 instead. So, I hopped in the car and headed over. I was greeted by Alex, who was friendly and professional! After about a fifteen minute wait, I was called back. That was at about 10:15. The dental assistant for my treatment was Melissa and the dentist was Dr. Bishop. Both were absolutely fantastic! They were professional and friendly! And, most importantly, they were competent! I admit, I questioned whether or not I should go to a dental urgent care, but I am so glad I did! After examining me and x-rays, Dr. Bishop concluded my problem was coming from a tooth adjacent to the one I said was the culprit. This was all done without the Dr. being the least bit judgmental. Dr. Bishop was very patient with me as I was tensing up a great deal throughout the hour and half procedure. I sensed his frustration but he was patient and did not express it outwardly. He was professional and made me feel like his care for my dental issue was as important to him as it was to me. I genuinely felt like I was in good hands! I definitely recommend this dentistry clinic if one is in need and it is after hours. If you decide to visit this clinic I wish you an equally satisfying experience. Live well. Be well. I would give them 10 stars if I could. I needed some assistance with a crown that broke (that they did not put in). I did not expect to get in same day at 8:30PM when I had throbbing pain, and they said to 'come on in'. Office is immaculate, as is the staff. Everyone was so nice and the dentist took the time to really evaluate my whole health to try and help me find a root cause. The receptionist texted my paperwork which was minimal and easy to complete. I expected a high price tag for the boutique experience they provide and the majority of my visit was covered by insurance, and the remainder was incredibly reasonable for the relief their services provided when I needed it the most. I broke my crown eating gummy candy and I was anticipating a scolding, and they were incredibly kind and understanding and genuinely provided the best care possible. Most importantly, I went home with no more pain and I could not be more grateful. read more

This place is such a lifesaver! My 8 year old had a toothache on a holiday weekend and they got him in before closing on a Saturday night and did the exam, x-rays, and treatment same night. The dentist and dental assistant were SO sweet and wonderful with my son (and me!). They set him up with a cartoon, got him a blanket, and kept me in the loop every step of the way. They took care of our insurance so quickly too. I will definitely be back for our regular dental care! read more

Had to come back after two years and they have moved to Plano. Everyone from the dentist to the receptionist is amazing! They make sure you aren't in pain and treat you like family. They also have great payment plans. 100% still recommend! read more

I can't say enough good things about this office. I've been twice, seeking urgent help for very painful teeth. I saw Dr. Scott on my first visit, about a year ago. She was gentle, kind, and made me feel so comfortable, even while she was yanking out a very stubborn molar. I had to go back last week for another extraction (I brush, I swear!) and saw Dr. Ayitey-Adjin ("Dr. Joe"). He was fantastic! I couldn't have been in better hands. The office staff is great, too. They know that people showing up at a dentist's office in the middle of the night must be in a world of hurt, and they do everything they can to make patients comfortable and put them at ease. I hope I never have to go back, but knowing this practice is here if I need them is such a comfort. If you're in trouble and need help in a hurry, go to After Hours Dentistry! This review is simply for the two assistants. Tasha and Melissa. I called 5/8 prior to bringing our 3 year old in. She was having severe tooth pain and this was the only place open. When I asked if they did pediatric care, she responded with "it depends" I said "on what?" Her response: "if they can cooperate." To which I responded she's THREE and is in pain. "If she can sit and open her mouth when the dentist tells her to...." First of all. I understand that working with toddlers in dentistry is not easy and can be frustrating. However, her response could have and should have been a little, if not A LOT more professional. I didn't need someone who doesn't know OUR child to be empathetic to HER situation but her UTTER LACK of professionalism looks horrible. A 3 yr old shouldn't have to immediately follow your demands as if she's a dog and inconveniencing you. If YOU can't work with or aren't patient enough to work with toddlers in pain as a DENTAL assistant who offers services for young children, perhaps you should express that prior to OR SIMPLY NOT ACCEPT YOUNG CHILDREN AT ALL. You seriously can't expect a toddler to come to the dentist and "cooperate." Anyways. It was Saturday and nothing else was open so I brought her in anyway. The same woman [Tasha] was at the front desk. I won't say she wasn't "friendly" ..more so, the lack of professionalism. Which is crazy because the way she spoke to and interacted with another man [older, white man] who was walking out was completely different than her interaction with us. The "code switch" was incredible and quite comical. Again. Let me say. I get this isn't a "pediatric after hours" kinda place however if YOUR staff can't accommodate the average toddler, why even offer the service. I didn't expect the staff to know how to deal with an already upset, in pain toddler [however DR SCOTT WAS AMAZING. She's a true heaven sent gift. She was SO incredibly patient with our daughter. She was very interactive and TOOK the time to allow her to warm up and even checked on her later that night.] The assistant, however, acted as if our daughter was inconveniencing her when she wouldn't sit still for the x Ray. I couldn't be in the room because I'm pregnant but I had my dad meet us and she was obviously very annoyed and irritated. She didn't even attempt to simply explain what she was doing as she was doing it. Please have your staff know that if you're going to bring a large camera machine in the face of a toddler, the least you could do is say "this will take a picture of your teeth so we can see what's going on." You don't just walk up to a child [anyone] place a huge block in their mouth without explaining what you're doing. According to the ADA's Code of Professional Conduct [1A: The dentist should inform the patient of the proposed treatment in a manner that allows the patient to become involved.] Myself, my husband, and our 3 year came the next day 5/9 so that he could sit with her while they did the X-Ray. BEFORE WE EVEN MADE IT TO THE BACK AND SAT DOWN, Tasha already made an "oh here they go again" annoyed face. She was annoyed as soon as we walked through the door and it was all over her face. It was OBVIOUS that she already told Melissa that we were there last night. Because now Melissa has an attitude and we weren't even in there for 30 seconds. [also view your cameras to see her attitude as well]. The other doctor, I didn't catch his name, similar to Dr. Scott was also very gentle and patient. He walked our 3 year old through what he was doing, let her touch the mouthpiece, and thoroughly explained the issue. Which is all Tasha had to do rather than having an attitude when we don't know her from mud or sand. Her and Melissa's lack of professionalism was deplorable. Whoever owns this business, please review your cameras to see how your staff could benefit with better training because it's lacking. If your staff can't be patient and professional enough to deal with kids, find better staff or don't offer the service. I don't appreciate my family being treated with such disrespect. If you're a parent and your young children "can't cooperate" and open their mouth on demand, please find somewhere else to go because the assistants aren't equipped to deal with them. read more

I had my wisdom teeth taken out from another dentist from a different place , which eventually led me to having an infection four weeks later . My wife recommended I stop by an Urgent Dentist, so I could verify if it was a infection and to have it treated if it was. We found After Hours Dentistry in Allen early in the week, since my mouth had swelled up I needed to have it treated right away. We called them, and they were able to squeeze me in as a walk in. The staff Tasha, Sheila, and Bri were friendly and made sure I was comfortable before seeing Dr "Joe" Ayitey Arjun. He quickly was able to verify it was an infection and provided me with the right medication and to also come back for a follow up at no additional cost. A smooth, and fast experience. Lastly I made it to my follow up about an hour early and they were able to see me right away. I definitely would recommend them. read more

The dentist was very nice and so was the front desk lady. The hours are great if your in a dental emergency. The reason for the one star is I was in massive pain from a abscess on my gum and came here almost in tears hoping for relief. All I was offered was prescription for pain meds and antibiotics. The cost apparently with out insurance (they didn't take mine) was 3300 for a crown. I feel like I should have been given more options and not rushed to get out the door still in pain. I also feel like in 2020 they should expect every insurance out there. read more

Omg I cannot recommend them enough. I was having terrible tooth pain for over 24hrs and finally decided I needed to see someone for it. Unfortunately all of my in-network dentists were closed for the weekend and I couldn't wait another 24hrs until Monday. I decided to go here and they were able to schedule me an appt to see them in 30 minutes. I was kinda nervous to go in as a cash only patient. I didn't want to pay an arm & a leg for a tooth I could fix with my insurance during the week. But they're SO affordable! I was shocked. I can't stress how sweet, caring, and patient everyone is- especially Dr. Scott. They accommodated me so well since I'm pregnant and can't get normal treatment. I can't say enough good things about After Hours Dentistry! I experienced the worst tooth pain of my life on a Friday night. I called them first thing Saturday and they got me in as soon as they opened! ALL the STAFF were so kind and accommodating to me. Tasha greeted me at the front desk and was so helpful! I was nervous about going and they put me at ease. Dr. Elsaie and Dr. Joe have been wonderful and I trust them that they are doing everything to ensure my teeth are in good shape. This place was amazing. All the staff was amazing. I've never felt so safe and, comfortable walking in to a dental clinic. It's always about money but this place seemed like they cared more about making me feel better. I'm 10 weeks pregnant and they took care of me so well and did everything can to protect the baby. I will recommend this place to my friends and family. I'm so happy to have found this clinic and I will come back next month and get a whole check up thank you guys so much.
