Long Story Short: STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM HERE!!! You would be better off going to a barber college. The cuts will be cheap and better than what Victor can do, if he even shows for your appointment. Alright so after the business owner responding to my initial review and being rude, I figured I would provide an update and more context for my Yelp people. Yes, I was given a $10 haircut by Danny the last time I was there. But Victor, the owner and the barber I booked the appointment with, texted me to ask for the rest of the money! So you can't reach out to let me know you can't make the appointment that I booked on your website, but you can reach out to ask for extra money? You weren't even there. I still paid $20, hopefully that money went to Danny. I want to reiterate, the first time I booked for a $50 service, and waited 30 minutes to an hour for a no show barber(Victor, the owner) on a Saturday morning. The second time was years later, he was 30 minutes late(yes I paid full price during regular business hours and it was expensive). The third time Victor never showed, called, or texted. Danny gave me a discount, but then Victor reached out to ask for the money back. Terrible business plan. Afterhours would be better off always charging $10 for a cut, or better yet, paying people to come into this sorry excuse of a barbershop. I would like to add that Danny was great and did his best to provide the level of service that Afterhours advertises. The shop is just not on that level. Danny should cut in a different shop where he can work with better coworkers and thrive in a professional environment. If Danny was the owner, this place would be much better off. Victor, hopefully you learn your lesson about how to treat customers. Instead of you providing terrible service and getting mad when customers leave accurate reviews, you should man up and take the feedback constructively and use it to make your business better. The way you are operating right now this place is doomed to fail. read more

Was quoted "around $75" for a very simple men's haircut... I'm almost bald, so they literally were just going to use the trimmer on the side on a one and a half and clip the top slightly. $75?!?! OK, just letting you all know, because the reviews say that the pricing is reasonable, and I don't think that's reasonable. read more

Since I have the time to respond, the appointments were booked on your website, you unfortunately did service my husband despite our better judgement when pulling up and while it may seem like you are doing great things for the community, it is insane you have priced your services so high for people to have to deal with actual drug addicts running in and out of your shop attempting to barter stolen goods for haircuts. I was booked with Jimenez I requested a mid low 0 fade to mid in the back. My cut turned out very nice Jimenez took the time and focus into my hair to blend and get the curve to my head I got kinda cone shaped head on top so it's hard to get a style requested and actually turn out what I want barber started around 745pm finished 845 ish the spot is nice they have a coffee room in the back too everybody in Afterhours was friendly and welcoming I showed up in an Uber straight from the Airport and the service was better than the flight attendants on southwest ask for Jimenez read more

Victor is one of the best barbers in Houston. Takes his time with each appointment, does an excellent job with lines/fades, and can cut hair of all types (I have Asian hair, but his clientele is very diverse). I tried various barbershops in the area when I moved here (Argyle League, Red's), and Afterhours Barbershop is easily the best. Not only are the haircuts great, but the hours are super flexible.
