My favorite little brunch place in town! My go-to meals are the crispy potatoes with an egg over medium and a side salad, or the shakshuka! All the food I've tried there is good though, and they have a varying selection of yummy treats in the pastry case. Saturday brunches in my social circle are more than often reserved for afternoon. The relaxed atmosphere of one of the best brunch spots in Gainesville offers a variety rich menu, tons of natural light, and quality food that makes for a great experience. Tucked a little behind downtown, the restaurant is easy to find and hosts an array of seats which lets the restaurant be easy for any type of group that comes. The chairs are wooden, I believe. Upon arriving, you order at the front, receive a number, and your food will come to you. Every single time I have gone to afternoon, I have ordered the corn and potatoes (which I would highly recommend). I have taken bites from friends of almost everything off the menu, and they all offer the same gold standard. Good ingredients, pretty affordable fresh food, and a reminder of what makes Gainesville what it is. My boys (I have two pet antelopes) and I always enjoy coming here. There is tons of outdoor seating and a lot of grass, so they are able to graze in peace and sip some of my water. They do however get a bit uncomfortable with the wall art, but they have yet to attain an eye for art. Bring friends, family, lovers, pets- afternoon is worth the visit! read more

You order at the counter and then they bring you your food. It's also seat yourself, so it may be difficult to find a seat on a crowded day. However, the food was absolutely fantastic. The portions are smaller than most restaurants, but that just means you won't leave feeling over-stuffed. The food presentation was fantastic too. Outside picnic tables so great for groups. Everything on the menu is locally sourced so for many who are concerned with that - no worry. They got it. I was more concerned on taste of the food itself. I ordered a basic breakfast with scrambled eggs, toast, bacon and a side of sausage. And a coffee. Super basic. Took my number and coffee and sat down. A few minutes later my food came out. Everything was done well - bacon crisp, eggs not too runny but not over cooked, toast thick with a little burn on it and butter on the side. Sausage patties we delicious. Everything tasted great. Its location makes for a unique sense of quite on the weekends, because most of the workplaces are closed-up; therefore a wonderful spot for a Saturday morning study session or a Sunday brunch date. The menu consisted of many traditional breakfast items (pastries, lattes, teas, fresh coffee, etc) all with a splash of west-coast flair. I had the smoked salmon sampler platter with the 6-minute egg. The yolk was gooey, but the white was cooked to perfection. My girlfriend ate the egg and cheese sandwich, spread with a home-made garlic-pepper aioli on freshly baked foccacia bread.
