The school has offered us all the support, welcoming staff and families, lots of wonderful programs, that are all wonderful. Lewis promotes diversity-love-support to students & families from all backgrounds (they stand t true to the their word about being inclusive, unlike other schools that just throw the word around, but do not hold true to). All of the kids are so friendly to one another. It definitely has more of an arts feel to it. The facility is very secure, and the classrooms are very clean & full of natural daylight. It was the BEST experience and I highly recommend Bright Beginnings Preschool! There are too many great things about the school, here are a few of my favorite things: 1. The teachers are fantastic (we had Miss Kathy and Miss Sinan)! Each room has a lead teacher and a co-teacher and we just love both of my kid's teachers so much!! They are a perfect team and so wonderful with the kids and seem to care about them so much. 2. They have a fabulous fenced play area with grass and playground equipment. They also have a huge indoor play space for days when it's too cold or wet to play outside. 3. They do the best art projects, and even made lovely mother's day and father's day and Christmas presents for us. 4. They had the most adorable Christmas program, as well as a "donuts with dad" program on a morning in January and a "muffins with mom" program on a morning in May. These programs were way too cute....just adorable! They are such special memories for us. They even had the most adorable evening graduation for the pre-K kids. 5. The school facility is light and bright and feels either newish or renovated. The classrooms are all nice and big and lovely, and have a private bathroom attached. 6. My kiddo learned so much (she now knows her uppercase and lower case letters, can count to 100, knows all the colors, and knows the 7 or 8 most common shapes) and is beyond ready and excited for kindergarten in the fall! I found out about Bright Beginnings through recommendations from a local mom's group and then through my own research, including campus tours of Bright Beginnings and two other local preschools, I found Bright Beginnings to be the easy winner. And we just totally loved it, so much that I want to spread the word in case anyone else is looking for an amazing preschool program for their kiddo!

They do not care about the students well fair, or mental health. They hire inappropriate substitute teachers and everyday teachers. When I say inappropriate I mean lowkey either pedophilia or the teacher doesnt do there job. When My peers or myself would report the teacher or sub it would be taken with a grain of salt and would be ignored. There was a substantial teacher that I had twice, and each time would go up to the boys in my class and start massaging there shoulders and start saying "how's your work going baby?" And would continue to say thing about how they wanted to convince some students in my class into there home. And this substitute is still working there. Another example of a teacher being out of line was a math teacher named br. Burton, who works at skyrdige middle school. He would sit there for the entire class period, and tell everyone about his life. He never taught us the curriculum and would get mad when we would have a class adverage of an F. Again, my peers and me have reported the teachers that have been out of line and it has been ignored. At one point, one of my friends was being bullied and they reported it over and over and it was ignore and that friend almost committed suicide because they where being ignored. It took the person almost committing suicide for the school to do anything about the bullying.

I see these wonderful ladies at the front every single morning and evening ready to help in anyway they can! Or just smile at you while you come through the door. My husband and I were brand new to the area and I can truthfully say, we found family within this Kindercare. Salmon creek Kindercare is by far the BEST daycare my children could receive. Not only have my children learned so much from these wonderful teachers but they also are so structured which is by far the best. The school also lacks adequate training, policies, and structural support for a diversity of learners. Families whose children require accommodations or flexibility--including those supported by physician documentation--may find that exceptions to stated policies are not respected, even when based on medical need. Overall, the gap between how the school presents itself and the day-to-day reality was significant. In our experience, this environment was far less supportive and far more rigid than local public school options, including Portland Public Schools.

I can't say enough good things about the teachers, staff and families that make up the CLASS community. The small, age-blended classes allow the teachers and staff to truly understand and cater to the needs of each student. More importantly, the teachers and staff truly care about each student and are highly dedicated to their success. I'm truly amazed at the job they have done fostering our son's emotional and academic development. They've helped instill a sense of confidence in him that I never thought would be possible. Most parents are also very involved in the school (and several of the teachers/staff have kids at the school) which helps create a true sense of community. As the saying goes, "it takes a village to raise a child" and our family is extremely grateful that our village is the CLASS Academy community.
