We had: Hamachi Sashimi thin cut-it was really thin, I would get thick cut if going again. But the fish was of good quality and tasty. Tuna Serranito-very spicy with decent quality tuna. A good dish. New York Tuna Roll-basic roll with decent fish, but the rice was very dry. Grey Goose Martinis-tasted watered down. Service however was quite good. Would I return? Maybe. It was a decent sushi meal (I have definitely had worse). But I am hoping there is better out there in Playa.

There is nothing worse than having a taste for sushi only to order it and find that an amateur is behind the roll! We also order the salmon wontons. They were much different than what I am used to. I thought it would be wrapped and fried, but these wontons were more like a wonton chips loaded with flavorful goodness. I plan on visiting the Hix Bar again before I leave the resort. We ordered Gyoza, shoyu ramen with chicken (comes with thick noodles), tonkotsu ramen (comes with thin noodles), and a rice bowl (pork only). The tonkotsu ramen, rice bowl, and gyoza were the best items. The shoyu ramen was just ok in my opinion. Note that the rice bowl is pretty small. It is more like a side item to accompany your ramen or for someone who isn't very hungry. Another plus- this place is small, but has AC! This seems so rare from the restaurants we ate at in Playa.
