I have to hype up Agave D'Oro. First time visiting and I'm already dying to go back. We went on a Saturday night and it wasn't packed - to the point that we were a table of 9 and didn't have to wait. Not sure why this place wasn't packed because of the food and drink quality was amazing. For drinks, I ordered the Cantarito Jalisco and boy it was strong. They don't mess around with their alcohol. While it was strong, it was still tasty and it came along with mini Reposado bottle where you dump the contents into your drink. If you like strong drinks like me, I recommend this one. My MIL and hubby had a margarita and I don't remember what it was called but man was it a HUGE margarita! You definitely need to pace yourself with this one. I definitely want come back for happy hour! For our entree, I ordered the Enchiladas Guadalajara. It was delicious. I'm such an enchilada girl and this one landed in my top 3. It comes with 3 shredded chicken enchiladas topped with queso fresco and sour cream. Soooo yummy. It comes with a side of yellow rice and salad. I want to try different items on the menu next time but this one was a good first choice. Overall, the vibe inside the restaurant, cleanliness, and staff attention exceeded expectations. Experience: Came on a Saturday at 5:00pm for an early dinner/late lunch. Facility: This is a stand alone restaurant with a Mexican almost sports bar vibe. I love the large wood pineapples on the wall. There are a few chairs and tables, but most of the restaurant is filled with booths. There is also some seating at the bar. Service: The hostess was quiet but helped us immediately with a booth. The waitress was very nice and suffered through my terrible Spanish without a wince. Food: The food was hit and miss, but nothing was really bad. Chips and salsa: yum! I loved their salsa... and not every Mexican restaurant has good salsa. Theirs was the blended kind, versus the chunky kind. Great flavor with very little spice. I prefer mine spicier but I get they have to please the masses. Queso: loved the queso! It was a white queso and it was a little spicy, which I loved. Not as impressed with the main meal. Overall: We liked it, but will order different food to try something new. read more

Walked in on a weekday evening-- nearly empty, no wait. Our group of 4 was seated immediately. Staff are highly attentive and courteous. After placing our orders, everything came out within minutes. MEXICAN STREET CORN: This is served on a bed of mayonnaise LOL. SO MUCH MAYO. Maybe to keep the cobs from rolling around? The corn is sweet, tender, and seasoned well. Had to scrape some of the mayo off due to the sheer volume clinging to the cobs tho QUESADILLA RANCHERA (chicken): Pics don't do this justice-- this is a MONSTROUS serving. I could barely finish 1/3. I had a great time at Agave! My fiancé and I are in the area for a few days and just wanted a quick bite to eat. We started off with margaritas- he had the jumbo cucumber marg which was huggeee and I had a margarita flight which came in an airplane with a sparkler! Had no idea it came like that but it was super fun! For appetizer we shared the queso fondito which was delicious! I wanted to try something different for dinner so I ordered the molcajate and really enjoyed it. It came with chicken, steak, shrimp and chorizo. It also had cactus which I have never had before but it was really good. The portion size was pretty big as I had to take half my dinner home. Our waitress was super nice and overall we had a great time. If we ever are in this area again I will definitely come back! read more

Recently tried for the first time Agave D'Oro with the family. It's a Mexican restaurant and bar and we were pleased with our experience. We are a big family of 9 and we were all seated right away on a Saturday night. Was not expecting that. If you are only coming for drinks, you've come to the right place. We ordered a margarita - Cazuela Tapatia was the name, and it was a big boy. You get a margarita the size of your head. And the best part is that they aren't stingy with the alcohol, at-least not by what I noticed. The drink was strong as it was tasty. For the entree I ordered the Steak Burrito Jalisco and it was indeed a giant. It's topped with cheese sauce, pico de gallo, and sour cream. How can you not be in heaven?! It was delicious and I would order again. 100% recommend. The wifey had the Enchiladas Guadalajara's and she was happy as can be with her plate. We also tried the tacos and they were bomb. The ambience was absolutely perfect, and we were excited to try this place. However, they missed the mark on several things. The server, although initially very sweet, was not familiar with a lot of the menu items. I asked if the spinach in the quesadillas was fresh spinach or canned spinach and she immediately said fresh spinach but when it came out, it was not. It seems like they were trying to nickel and dime every little thing because once we got our bill there were extra charges for sour cream which should come with a quesadilla, the margarita prices were all over the place and inconsistent, etc. for the same exact drink, etc. When I questioned the server about some of the pricing at the end, her attitude went from sweet to annoyed. read more

I just recently saw this place open up eager to stop and give them try. They're located in the old Shenanigans building which is actually pretty new. They've replaced the art and wall decor with stuff that matches their restaurant. The inside is clean and welcome in it has that nice dark look. I tried queso Beria Tacos and a pineapple fajita. I was very excited to try this dish after reading it was served inside of a pineapple. When the plate arrived I was very static it was half of a pineapple hollowed out and fill with different meats shrimpand onions in peppers. This was season so well I really enjoyed it. The queso BereaTacos were pretty good and stacked with meat. This dish The meat was a little bland but the sauce they served it with really topped it off and made it delicio. The wait times were very short walked right in set down right away. Service was normal at average nothing to complain about or praise about. read more

Agave Mexican Bar and Grill offers wonderfully friendly, welcoming service. The vegetarian dishes I tried -- the cheese quesadilla and the bean enchilada -- were outstanding. One downside is that the rice served as a side is made with chicken broth, so I don't feel it should be included with the limited vegetarian options. The skinny margarita is pricey but worth it, and while the restaurant leans on the expensive side, the great food and warm, attentive service make it a memorable experience. First time we went here. We were in the area for an event and decided on Mexican. We jumped on Yelp and based on the reviews decided to give it a try. No regrets on the choice. The menu was a mix of Mexican and Cuban. We started with the mini chimis which were tasty and easily split two ways. One of us tried the Carnitas while the other went for the Jalisco burrito steak. Both were good and the portions were generous. Service was on point with no issues. If we are in the area again or passing through would definitely come back. read more

The chicken is seasoned to perfection and it's never that weird texture chicken (if you know, you know). Don't love the margaritas but I also only ordered it one time. I was curious to try this new Mexican grill once I heard so many favorable comments on Facebook. Mexican places are a dime a dozen, but I do love it so it was worth a trip! Spacious parking with a very clean interior, well lit room and minimally decorated; but with good taste! Cheese dip is always a must. Theirs was hot and had a small kick, with a side of crispy salty chips. Pretty much perfect but I'm easy to please in this category. My husband custom made some nachos. They were good... but far from great. Little flavor, not enough ingredients and the cheese wasn't melted (that's the best part!) too cold and resembled a salad more than anything else. I got the Birria tacos. Fantastic! The consume had lots of onions, meat and cilantro and held a wonderful smoky flavor. The tacos were huge! Very fresh and flavorful with loads of tender meat, however, next time I will ask for more cheese. There wasn't much. The rice was the worst of this visit. Bland bland bland and the texture was almost squeaky. I ate two bites and pushed the rest aside. The service was prompt and courteous. All in all, this place seems solid. Prices are maybe a few dollars over the average Mexican spot, but they seem to have more of a Tex Mex vibe which is welcomed compared to the usual "Americanized" Mexican food most of us are accustomed to. read more

The food here is so good!! We were in and out in 30 minutes- we got our appetizers and entrees so fast! They give free chips and salsa which is always a plus. The restaurant was super nice and well maintained. I will definitely be returning very soon to try their lunch specials. At 2:45pm EST we were seated at a booth at Agave D'Oro Mexican bar and grill. At first we noticed the temperature of the facility was warm and humid, like the air conditioning was not working properly. We then placed an order with our waitress around 2:55pm EST, I ordered the "pollo yucatan" which comes with grilled chicken breast, grilled veggies, guacamole salad, and rice. The food came out and was served to my party at about 3:05pm EST, which do seem super fast, but the food was hot, look good. BUT once I started eating, I only got about 2 bites of food when I saw a Living, Crawling Cockroach, crawl out from underneath the pile of Orange rice on my plate, it was about the size of a dime, I spit my food out immediately and killed the cockroach, on my plate with a napkin, my mother, who was with me, got up immediately to get a manager, by the time the manager walked back to the table I was sick to my stomach and needed to exit the restaurant as soon as possible. The managers didn't say anything besides "I'm sorry" which felt very dismissive and not empathetic at all. so we immediately left. I then vomitted in the parking lot and to this point I am still very ill. This restaurant should not be operating, the lack of cleanliness and professionalism is awful, I will never be returning. I'm very concerned that this restaurant has an active pest issue, a cockroach that is alive crawling from the food I was literally eating is a SERIOUS health and sanitation concern. read more

Steer clear! Me and my girlfriend stopped in on Monday afternoon for lunch while we waited for the tint shop to finish up my truck. The floor was sticky when we walked in the door of Agave D'Oro and it smelled weird in there. We sat at the bar for a beer and lunch. The draft beer I got wasn't cold by any means, the draft system needs to be serviced and cleaned badly. The bartender had to pour the equivalent of 4 beers worth of head to get a good pour from the taps. The food was even worse. Both meals came out completely wrong, we both ordered just the protein lettuce and tomato's on our tacos/burritos. The beef and chicken both were inedible and unseasoned, the ground beef looked puréed. The rice was a pile of wet flavorless mush and the refried beans looked like they might be refried beans but were water thin and flavorless. Both meals have us regretting our lunch choices the next day which is the best part of this experience. I do not like to bash businesses especially newer ones but that experience will never get us in their doors again! read more

Taps weren't working but happy hour pricing on Mexican beers (3.25/ Modelo) Street tacos were amazing (pastor and carnitas). We just can't get enough of this place! This time I had the 4 enchilada special. This was one refried bean, one chicken, one ground beef, and one cheese enchilada all topped with a red sauce, tomatoes, lettuce and sour cream. Had to take half of them home! Never a wait for this new restaurant that has great service and delicious food. The food is seasoned very nicely. I find that this spot is a nice gathering place for families and friends.l recently gave my husband a birthday party last Friday night and it was great. They have a Mariachi band on Friday nights. Those guys are great, if they did not serve our food just before they came came to our table those guys would of been dancing. The drinks are very nice and everyone had coffee with cake before leaving the restaurant. They are also kid friendly. One little one had a family celebration as well and he was tickled pink when they played Happy Birthday for him. This spot is highly recommended. Went out for a quick bite after a long horrible work week. My husband though tequila was in order so we stopped at the new Agave Mexican Restaurant and ordered theirs "Level 4" margarita with Heradura, the Bartendar was a great guy and made a fantastic margarita and offered great food recommendations. My husband ordered the Camarones Locos which was amazing! We had people pop by us at the bar multiple time to inquire what it was. I ordered the Enchiladas Rancheros. I wasn't a fan of the enchilada themselves but the carnitas and peppers and onions and rice with the cheese and sauce was incredible. Chips and salsa were average nothing to write home about.
