I don't know why they have pizza in the name. The pizza taste like cafeteria pizza I had when I was in elementary school.

The pizza is exceptionally good, the garlic knots are delicious, and the mozzarella sticks are honestly some of the best fried cheese I've ever had. Don't sleep on their subs or salads either! I've had the Italian sub and the steak and cheese salad with oil and vinegar as the dressing--both are absolutely spot-on every time. There are a few tables available for dine-in, and if you live in River Bend (the neighborhood it's located in), they offer delivery right to your door. Ordering for pickup is also super easy and convenient.

Yes, if you are in The New Bern area and have a craving for Pizza - This is the SPOT! 1st they told me it would be about 40 min & they showed up w/in 25-30min!!! The Mozz Stix are amazing (see pics). You can order a 3 or 6 piece & comes w/ pizza sauce for dipping. Also ordered a slice of cheese just to check out their sauce & style - great thin crust w/ flavorful sauce & extremely large slices for $2.95. Finally had to check out the Stromboli. Ordered the Steak & Cheese and it did not disappoint. Overall this spot is a local hidden gem w/ homemade flavorful items at a great price range. Definitely worth a try if you are in the area!

Also love the fact that they have vegan cheese for our vegan daughter. Ordering online could not have been easier and we all appreciated the infinite customizable options. As the mother of a gluten free toddler, and gluten free myself, I trusted that recommendation completely. I will never make that mistake again. Walking in, the place was flat out disgusting. A trash can shoved directly under the soda machine, jammed against a booth, flies swarming around it like nobody had cleaned in days. FLIES. Next to the soda machine. The only open table and booths were dirty. Like, more than crumbs. We should have walked straight back out the door but we didn't, because we were exhausted and had a 3 hour drive home, and we thought, "How bad could it be?" Incredibly bad, it turns out. The "gluten free" crust was thin, flimsy, and burnt around the edges. And the aftermath has been brutal. My toddler and I have both been glutened so badly we are sick, in pain, and completely wiped out the day after what was supposed to be a fun family trip. Instead of beach memories, I'm nursing my kid through cramps and misery because this place could not be bothered to handle allergen prep or basic cleanliness properly. If you have celiac disease or a real gluten allergy, stay far away from this place. Whatever cross contamination is happening in that kitchen is dangerous, not just inconvenient. I don't care how many people recommend it, the risk is not worth it. We will never go back, and I will be telling everyone I know to avoid it too.

You sit down at a table and the staff and the atmosphere makes you feel like you are sitting down at your Italian grandma's kitchen on Sundays. It's a very easy restaurant to make it to. They're located right on Neuse boulevard, past the traffic light on Simmons. Overall this place is great and convenient. I would definitely recommend keeping 37th Street in your queue for a future visit. You will have a happy full tummy afterwards.

When they moved to the location they are now, we continued to go because we loved the pizza and other things they offer (plus we lived in the neighborhood right behind it) we would have gone to eat there no matter where they were. Have I ever had a not so great experience there, yes. I called, spoke with manager on duty, and as much as we come there, she knew who my husband was (we eat mostly take out at home now). The staff is great, the food is great and I love the inside of the restaurant, especially the booths! I will not write someone off for one bad experience just because of one, which was taken care of promptly! So, my opinion is, go there, find what looks good to you on the menu and try it. I do not think you will be disappointed. I give 37th Street a A+ and will continue to unless something horrible happens.
