I frequently head to Sugar Hill Pizzeria on Sunday evenings when I have work in Kinston. I always order the same thing, a supreme pizza, so I can't speak for all of the other things on their menu. But I've enjoyed delicious pizza each time I've visited. The staff is friendly and helpful. read more

Service was great and this restaurant is conveniently located across the street from Mother Earth Brewery. Once your order is placed and paid for you can go back to enjoying refreshments at the brewery and Sugar Hill staff will bring your order to you. I found that exceptional and really convenient. We ordered a large peperoni pizza. I wasn't a fan of the crust but everything else on the pizza (cheese, sauce, etc.) was really good. read more

Really a 3.5, but rounding up! I enjoyed the pizza! We had classic pepperoni and it's what you'd expect for NY style pizza. A good crust to sauce to cheese ratio. The side salad comes with tomato, cucumber, and onion. Unfortunately mine had several brown pieces. I also missed getting a fork, so I just sprinkled it on top of my pizza, which is actually a classic move of mine. I can't speak much to ambiance since I just ran in to pick up but it was clean and no wait. Tables inside and a few outside. Hubby said it was slightly salty. We did take out, and a small pizza with salad was more than plenty for both of us. About $22. I also love that you can order ahead online. I would totally come back! Especially to walk it across the street to the brewery. read more

Great spot to grab lunch with the family! We ordered the supreme pizza. It was good could've had a little more sauce & cheese. Otherwise flavor was good! Mother-in-law ordered the window with fries the wings looked and smelled really good. Nephew ordered plain pasta and the Stromboli. Stromboli looked really good too large portions. The dessert was amazing I should've grabbed photos but we ate it too fast for that! We ordered the caramel cheesecake and the Reese's pie. Both were so good! read more

We like to order a medium pie and head over to Mother Earth taproom with the pie. You can expect a 15-20 minute wait on Friday nights when ordering or coming inside to dine. Plenty of options beside pizza, but that seems to be our go-to choice when visiting. read more

We must have looked like we hadn't eaten in days since we nearly ordered everything on the menu for 3 people, but we just HAD to sample everything! Garlic Knots, Meatballs, Fried Ravioli, Mac & Cheese Bites, salads, pizza, spaghetti, manicotti, cheesecake, cake, oh my! What can I say... if you like and want New York style pizza... this is it. When the slice came out, it was just like what I've gotten in New York - and delicious! We enjoyed it tremendously and the staff was great as well...especially Sam - she is a great face of the place. Stopped in for impromptu lunch while passing through town on errands. Ordered a large supreme and it tasted great. Thin-ish crust. Similar to Michelangelo's in Greenville (if you are familiar with that). Had about a 20 minute wait for the pizza, but it was during lunch rush so not that bad. read more

Had a slice of supreme pizza and my mother had the chicken parm sandwich. Called in the order and it was ready shortly after I arrived. The slice's topping were not really attached. Pretty sure they were added to a slice of prepared pepperoni pizza and warm for a short time. The taste was good but I chased most of the topping around the table. Next time I opt for a slice, I will get just pepperoni or cheese. Stick with the basics. My mother's chicken parm was delicious according to her. I can say the smell was great. It is a really good pizza place if ordering whole pies or sandwiches that they make for you. Best pizza in Kinston for me. read more

We stopped in last evening while traveling. We ordered their meat lovers pizza, an order of garlic knots and an order of fried mushrooms. The garlic knots were good and the fried mushrooms were pretty good but could have been out of a pre breaded bag. The pizza was really good and we were pretty excited to have found this place just by chance. The staff was cordial and it appeared they had a lot of younger folks working up front. A little more personality and positive energy would have made us feel appreciated as patrons. The interior of the restaurant was small and appeared clean (including bathroom) . Stopped by here for a "snack" before our late night dinner reservations at Chef and the Farmer. My husband got buffalo wings and I got a slice of Greek pizza with added chicken that was to die for! I had a salad which was iceberg lettuce with tomatoes and cucumbers plus onions. The balsamic vinaigrette dressing came on the side so you can add as much as you want and had a great sweet and tart flavor. Also croutons. It has outdoor seating. We ordered a supreme pizza which had a thin crust and lots of toppings. I Recommend this place. read more

I originally popped in for a slice of pizza but decided at the last second to order an Italian sub. I wasn't disappointed! Very filling, flavorful and I's order it again in a heartbeat. The meats were great and the dressing is fantastic! The unsweetened iced tea was also oddly very good! Refreshing on a hot day. They have some pretty decent cannoli too. The pizza looks good and smells good, too. If I get back up here, I will hit up this place and try it. read more

Our very first visit to this Awesome Gem in Kinston NC! From the moment we were coming in the front door with my momma in a wheelchair we were greeted with such friendliness!! Our food came out hot, savory, cheesy, just the right amount of spice. Tried several appetizers, two pizzas, sandwich and fries. The Best I can remember having in a very Long time. The other customers made us feel so very part of the community. But I have to tell you no matter the great food we will be Back again soon because of Colby, Brittany and Ursula. They made our whole time there feel like we were family and not paying guests. They brought out a slice of some of the Best cheesecake I have had to celebrate my momma's 94th Birthday. I was visiting Kinston, NC for work for about two weeks and I was miserable. Kinston doesn't have a lot of good eateries, everything is Bojangles, McDonald's and Sweet Tea. I'm from NY so you know I was over it!!!!! I thought All the good eateries were in Goldsboro or Greenville UNTIL I stumbled upon this diamond in a ruff. So one of the ladies at the hotel desk recommended this pizzeria and said it was better than Ny pizza, I laughed so hard and gave her the middle finger. HOW DARE SHE NOT EVEN COMPARE BUT SAY THIS PIZZA WAS BETTER THAN NY!!!!! THE NERVE OF HER, SHE MYST BE ON SOMETHING. So that night I was starving, I read all the great reviews but still wasn't moved until I tried it for myself. The first night I ordered a chicken Philly, JESUS IN HEAVEN it was everything, everything everything!!! The only problem I had was that it wasn't big enough. OH WELL!! So the next day I went for lunch and ordered two slices!!!! Son!!!!! The slices were huge and smelled like goodness. The pizza were straight SEX, it was actually better than a NY SLICE!! Huh?!! Positive first - the steak and cheese sub was really tasty. Great flavor. My husband and I ordered one to split, and waited 20 minutes before it was ready at a time that the place was not busy. So that was disappointing. Also, the sub is supposed to be served with chips, but they were just a pile of the crumbles from the bottom of the bag...also disappointing. Also seemed overpriced for what we got/the experience. We most likely won't visit again. read more

Throw some toppins on it, make that shit good fam! Went here wit some co-workers, and the place was litty! Had all kinda good Italian pies on the table, garlic knot and meaty balls as well. I'm pretty sure the person that got the balls said she noticed a bit of hair in her plate, but she didn't mind and that it added to the experience. The women was extremely rude, huffing and puffing on the phone like I was an issue. I reminded her it wasn't even 8, it was 10 minutes till closing and there was no reason to be rude! (not that I would have ordered that close to closing anyways, but it was the point of the matter). She continued to argue with me about the fact that is was "close enough to 8". I don't know the owner to this Aggies, but if you see this I highly recommend looking into the women working "closing" on June 11th 2021. Its bad when the only "fast food" type restaurant in Trenton is staffed with ignorant people!
