Based on my recent experience, they seem to possibly be creating problems for their customers The original Hill Country Refrigeration installed the HVAC systems on my new build home in 2017. I've had them perform annual check-ups on my 4 HVAC units the last few years. Have never had any issues. This year, within a month of their visit, I've had to replace two motor starters, for about $275 each. The service manager told that after an annual inspection, starter failures are common. Maybe so, but two in the same timeframe seem less than coincidental. I'm not buying that explanation. And if I'm running this business, I'd want to know why these things are frequently failing after check-ups. I'd avoid these guys for whatever type of service you're looking for. I don't trust them.

They sent a couple of guys and they had it fixed it in a couple of hours. My sink worked after they left. Another emergency involved our A/C system. We had contacted a local Comfort HVAC company but they could not get the part needed to fix our AC. After 8 days without AC, mind you, this was the middle of August in Texas, we finally called 72 Degrees. I told them about the problem and told them we wanted to have the AC fixed by the end of the day. Believe it or not, they were able to get a part from San Antonio, drove it out to our residence, installed it and had AC that early afternoon! What a service. Now, here is the rub. It cost us a lot of money. In my humble opinion, they charge too much but you know, if you're hot after not having any AC for over a week, you will find a way to get it fixed. Thank goodness for credit cards!
