I am leaving a one-star review because of the way one older employee treated a younger employee yesterday in front of a half-dozen customers and other employees. My mom asked me to grab her a new Aggie lanyard and so I came in yesterday around 4pm to look. As I was looking at their three options, somewhat disappointed, a young male employee came up and asked if he could help me find anything. I told him I was looking for a lanyard and he said he had another type in the back of the store that he could show me. He left and came back quickly with one that was exactly what I needed. He was very positive, upbeat, and fast. I did some more browsing and then went up to check out. As I was waiting in line, the same young man came from the back with an Aggie cart. Suddenly the middle cashier, an older woman, snapped at him loudly in a horrible tone of voice "no not that one! Where did you even find that one! She needs it in a box!" Everyone kind of froze in the awkwardness she had just created and he apologized and went back to find the box. The woman went back to helping the customer. I thought about confronting her when I got up there and telling her that is an unacceptable way to treat your employee, but felt like if I did so, she would make yet another scene and he would be the one to suffer for it later. So I just made sure to tell the cashier I got (a different woman) that the young man who just got yelled at had been a great help to me. When I went out to my car, the same male employee was quickly loading the box into the back of the customer's truck and was continuing to be positive and smiling. I hope that woman was not the owner or manager because that kind of behavior towards another human being is completely uncalled for. He had made an innocent mistake in the midst of working very hard with a positive attitude, and her reaction was completely inappropriate and unprofessional. No one deserves to work for or with someone who behaves like that, and a business shouldn't tolerate it either. read more

I purchased 3 or 4 different type of shirts. Wow. Very disappointed and one of my kids who suggested I buy them actually apologized. I got busy & never got around to returning them. All were 'very' thin, and started to unravel at the seams after maybe 2 washes (on delicate). It's like I was paying a premium for merchandise of a lesser quality from a discount store. Apparently this is the place to get anything Aggies so I had to stop by while in town. Their items are a little nicer and higher quality that other stores I went to in town, but then again their pricing is also higher, but still very reasonable. They have a lot of Adidas and Nike branded A&M clothing. This store was really packed the day we were here, probably because it was a Saturday and they were also doing a clearance inside a tent in the parking lot. Found a cute baseball shirt that had a "$5 off today" sign on it. I wanted two Larges. They had one that was in good condition and one that had a bad hemline. I requested a discount off the one with the messed up seam. They offered 12% off of it and I said - OK. That's fine. Then they proceeded to ring up the shirts at full price. I said - there's a $5 off sign on these. The manager came up and said - so sorry about that hem. If you don't want the 12% off then we will just damage it out. Me: No, the 12% is fine but there is a $5 off sign on these shirts and the girls here are telling me that it was for a sale yesterday. Not today. Manager: Well, we need to take that sign down immediately! (note: that sign was on several shirts throughout the store) Me: yes, you do. Are you willing to honor it? Pretty cool location. We were visiting for Aggieland Saturday and made a last minute stop here on our way out of town. As soon as we walked in, the employees greeted us and offered up help. We were there about 20 minutes total and found plenty to take home with us. They had a good selection, even some men's 3X shirts. Coolest outfitter shop I have ever seen. They have everything you want Texas A&M related! They have couches, pool tables, shuffle board, all you need is a bar and you could hang out here! I really like this store. They're "balls to the walls" with A&M apparel and they've been my go-to store since having a job that allows me to afford them. Yeah, they're a little pricey but I've yet to be disappointed in what they have to offer. When the Women's Basketball team won the National Championship in 2011, AO was letting everyone on Facebook know they had the swag for the event. I didn't hesitate to purchase several items from AO and ship to them Oregon. As a Former Student from the Robert Gates years, I'm a little in love with the guy. So when they came out with a "Gates for President" shirt, I was all over that. The "nail in the coffin" came when I was really wanting to wear a pair of Texas flag shorts in Portland. [Note: When you move out of state for love, a job, or to escape the heat, you might become even MORE Texan.] anyway...I was wanting some Texas flag shorts. We had 4 different people in our family order at 4 different times with different items ordered and all 4 orders had problems. 3 of the orders did not arrive when we were told they would arrive. When we called, we found out that 2 of the items ordered had to be retrieved from another retailer and the 3rd was back ordered and the website did not indicate this. The 4th item was a Men's T-shirt, but the Women's version was sent. We won't order from the website again. This is a real review. Why yelp chooses not to use it in the business ratings is probably because I don't review too many things. This "aggie" run shop is far more over priced then most places in town... their selection is decent but the quality of some items are just horrid, and even though the prices weren't great i found myself still picking up a view things. I bought a shirt... and when i got home i noticed a whole in it, the person working at the front register said they couldn't do anything because there was no proof the shirt was already ripped. I was upset. Recently i have found out they have the same shops for UT austin and that sorta ended it for me. I think I'm sticking with the other stores. Found an even bigger selection and better prices at real aggie owned businesses around town. read more
