My disability is obvious as I do not walk normally at all. When I entered the store at its opening time this morning, I immediately encountered the manager talking to a custodian. After the conversation ended I asked the manager where the luggage was located. (I pointed in the general direction of where it used to be.) She obviously was not happy to be bothered asking me if I had all ready checked that area. I explained that I was simply trying to save some unnecessary steps. The custodian intervened nicely and told me yes that location was correct but low in available stock. I checked and he was correct. Maybe the manager could wear a sign in the future letting people know she does not want to be bothered.

I went online and found some nice shoes but i wasn't sure they would fit. I proceeded to go to many different shoe stores and ended up at foot locker in college station. It's in the mall and i don't normally go there but because of the need for a great pair of shoes, i went. The service there was great ,they were very friendly. The styles of shoes almost seemed unlimited, and I easily found the most comfortable and what I believe to be the most durable pair of shoes. Luckily they were on sale and i got them for a good price ( retail was horrible though!) overall i was very satisfied with foot locker and the shoes that i purchased.

So we placed a deposit for my sons senior boots today at the store in College Station. The girl who helped us was rude. Maybe it was an off day for her. But when you meet Aggies the last thing you encounter is rudeness. So when you come from one of the most polite places on earth, (Yes I mean the entire planet.) To a shop less than a mile from campus and encounter rudeness you are a bit shocked. So customer Service wise My first experience warrants 2 stars. It's possible that there are no competing boot companies because Holick's behaves as though they have the market cornered. First, the boots are expensive as heck. Our cost over $2,000. Yes, I know they are well-made. Yes, I know they are a must-have for my senior. But $2,000 boots? Second, they raised the price on us AFTER I had made our initial deposit. Their website states that they reserve the right to change prices based on changing leather prices. I'd like to know if they ever decrease prices. At any rate, one would think that with a price of $2,000, they have some wiggle room in their profit margins to absorb an increase in the price of leather. Lastly, and I know I'm being picky here (I'm spoiled by the great websites I use with amazon and other major retailers), I expected to be able to access our account on the Holick's website, see our invoice, and make payments. It would be nice to have a reminder of when payments are due and when fittings can be expected. Nope. I have to call them, get routed to the lady that takes payments over the telephone, and read off my card # to them. It seems a bit primitive these days.
