Cute space, this shop had some quirky wares: socks and scarves, dishware with illustrated fish, lots of SF themed prints. What a bummer that they're all about two or three times as much as I'd expect them all to be! I was hoping to get in a little Christmas shopping but $11 for a small tin of green tea, $19 for a pack of caramels, and $18 for a single teacup is a little outrageous. Loved some of the socks and dog bowties, too. Maybe I'll come back after I win the lotto. read more

This is a beautiful store. This store carries awesome skin products and other interesting items (I seriously want a terrarium , they look so awesome). I am confused though why they even sell clothes, seemed odd with the other tchotchkes . Also One hundred dollar cotton striped shirts?REALLY? REALLLLY? Lastly, maybe it was a cranky day for the guy working, but I was not approached, acknowledged, smiled at , anything . That's not nice ! Aggregate Supply is like that best friend you have who is prettier, smarter, and somehow nicer than you are. Maybe they make more money than you, maybe they don't, but all you know is every time you see them you want to know where they bought those jeans and that necklace, oh and that wallet and backpack too. If you're lucky they'll tell you and you can buy a pair yourself. They'll fit you perfectly and when you try them on you'll know immediately they're the finest pair of pants you've ever owned. You'll think to yourself "why haven't I been wearing pants this nice all along?" The answer is, my friend, you haven't been to Aggregate Supply. Do yourself a favor and go there. read more

Interesting store with lots of stuff to look at. It's all very "stylish" so you may or may not like things based on your own ideals. I liked a clock they had on display and the girl behind the counter took time to tell me about the designers, and showed me some of their other wares. I'm the opposite of hipster but experienced no rudeness whatsoever. UPDATE: The clock looked great on my wall but did not tell time properly. I also managed to lose my receipt, so I was kinda nervous bringing it back to ask for a replacement. The guy working that morning was again friendly, and got me a replacement without even an argument. He was apologetic that the first one was faulty, though it's hardly their fault. Post-sale customer service is a rare thing these days -- made me happy! read more

Okay, I had to return to this store one more time because my husband and I wanted to learn the name of the company that made the wall clock we almost bought around Christmas time. (they don't carry it anymore, it turns out) I'm updating because we found out that the totally condescending clothing designer / employee is actually the OWNER! Caveat Emptor: I went to exchange an item and learned that Aggregate Supply is a "collective" of three brands, and you can only exchange an item for something of the same subpurveyor's brand. It is in the fine print of the returns policy---no refunds please note---, but who ever HEARD of such a SPECIAL exchanges policy, or of a store with one name but with three responsible businesses under it, all housed in one small room on Valencia Street? Another review about the incredibly pompous and aggressive attitude here. I picked up the front bottle of preserved lemon syrup from a row on a shelf and lightly twisted the cap to see if it was an open sample. It was not. Immediately an employee came and grabbed it out of my hands. "Oh, is there one that I can smell?" I asked. "No," he said testily, "but you can buy this one since you broke the seal!" I frowned because I knew I hadn't but said "Um, okay," and then he actually touched the cap and saw that I hadn't opened it. "Nevermind, you didn't," he said, and walked away with the bottle. No apology, no smile, and when we walked out, he avoided eye contact. The mean girls of Valencia? I won't be returning. read more

Wife bought me four expensive cups for a gift and one had a chip. We took the one back with a chip to exchange it, they scoped us out, asked us if we dropped it and then reluctantly replaced it. I felt like they were staring us down. They're selling expensive stuff, so i assume good service would go along. And they didn't give us the receipt back! Don't go here. read more

Aggregate Supply is my go to store for great clothes and unique gifts that will surprise someone who has everything. Everything in the store is thoughtfully curated and there's always treasure to be found. Everyone who works here is very helpful and friendly (note: I am definitely not a hipster). I especially love that they promote local brands and that I can find lifelong staples for my closet. read more

I purchased a couple items as gifts and while they were overpriced, I was proud to support a local business in my neighborhood. I proceeded with my purchase and left the store. About 15 minutes later I returned with buyer's remorse, having found a more appropriate gift. I was hoping to return just one of the items. At that time I told that they only allow exchanges. I understand that certain stores have these policies in place but what bothered me was the lack of empathy as well the fact that I was not informed of this policy upon purchasing. I tried to ask the manager again but he would not deviate from this policy. Although I was very upset, I could tell that no exceptions were going to be made and so I left. The associate who had helped me with my purchase was wonderful and very helpful when I was shopping in the store but based on my last interaction it seemed like the manager (possibly also the owner) of the store did not care about me as a customer. I think that sometimes in order to offer great customer service and earn repeat business it is necessary to bend the rules a bit and be accommodating. At the very least, a genuine apology and an offer to help find something of equal value to exchange would have been nice. read more
