This was my second time visiting, and I can already see myself slowly replacing my wardrobe with Buck Mason over the next few years. There's something incredibly approachable about the brand. It strikes a balance between vintage-inspired California Americana and modern everyday wear that's both distinctive and easy to incorporate into your wardrobe at a compelling value. I first dipped my toes in a few months ago with one of their Field-Spec white tees, and it's easily become my favorite T-shirt. That alone was enough to bring me back. This visit turned into a much longer, guided shopping experience with Ryan, who was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. On my first visit, I believe Adriana helped me, and the service was just as excellent then. It's clear the team genuinely enjoys helping customers find the right pieces rather than simply making a sale. I spent a good amount of time exploring both floors, trying on several items, including a few pieces that are no longer available online, and ultimately walked out with one of their California Oxfords. Overall, another fantastic experience. Buck Mason will be a must-stop for whenever I'm in Hayes Valley, whether I'm picking up another wardrobe staple or just stopping in to say hello. read more

Really disappointed to give one star. I went here with my partner and had already looked online knowing what denim we'd be interested in buying. When we walked in there was no greeting, but that's normal when busy! After standing around and asking for help, we were told to ask someone else for help, who had a position, that could help. We waited to ask the man who could help us, and he was with one client our entire time, then restocking once he was done. At some point we decided to leave, and when we left, there were no costumers in the store. No one, including the girl who directed us told us goodbye, or asked if we were handling everything okay. Really hoping that this team works on their customer experience. Super sad to write this knowing so many others had really great experiences. read more

Love this store & street! We're from LA, where we have plenty of Buck Mason stores -- so we know the brand well. But this visit was something else entirely. Adrienne took such great care of us on what was clearly a very busy day; you'd never have known it from the attention she gave us. The women's selection here was the largest we've come across -- it was genuinely fun to explore all the styles and actually try things on. And when we were done, Adrienne offered to ship our order home so we didn't have to squeeze everything into our carry-ons. This is exactly the kind of experience that reminds you why in-store shopping is so special. We'll be thinking about this one for a while! read more

One of the best men's stories out there today. There are a ton of shops that are making men look sloppy (Faherty, marine layer, gap) but if you wear Buck Mason you will look sharp and stylish. Service is excellent and the colors and styles are on trend but not fashiony. After hearing about Buck Mason I decided to finally check it out! The vibe here reminds me of a Fall log cabin in the middle of a forest. Very cozy and eloquent. Ryan assisted me trying to find a sweater he gave me some awesome recommendations and also advised me on styling choices. He also let me know the fabric that was on a certain piece and the best care for it. The value for the quality is worth it. I recently shopped at Buck Mason and bought two pieces, spending $333. Audrie was incredible--super helpful and quick to assist! She really stood out with her great customer service and honestly should be the manager. Unfortunately, the experience was dampened by what seemed like poor leadership. The manager (or whoever was in charge) came across as unwelcoming and seemed to judge me as if I wasn't going to buy anything. That vibe was disappointing, especially when I saw him give a cop a free shirt right in front of me after I had just spent a considerable amount on two items. I love the quality of the clothes, but customer service from leadership matters, too. A bit more professionalism and equal treatment would go a long way. read more

They don't know what's on their website. I've walked in twice and asked for something and they're like no it's not something we sell. I've had to pull out my phone show them their own website for them to check what they have in stock or if it's on the way to them. Feels like I'm making this up that they should have this. Shouldn't you know all of the 10 items you sell to women? There's not a huge amount of choices. Today I walked in and asked for shorts. There were two different ones hanging. I asked if there was a cotton or linen type one that I've seen online. They say no. I walked out. Why have a store if I should just get things online and the experience is not even helpful. read more

Got really great customer service from Bill today! Bill was really helpful and nice. I got offered a bottle of water; some luxury stores might offer that, it was a nice touch to get here. Bill gave great advice on outerwear and was really kind to check stock of items and mentioned other available colors, I really appreciate the attention to detail. The pricing and materials from this brand is well worth mentioning; lots of natural fibers and nice neutral colors. Will come back here again for more basics and well designed outerwear :) read more

Love Buck Mason. This is the first time I've been in one of these stores, I've only seen their ads on social media. Me and my partner were warmly welcomed by the staff while they let us shop. After a while they pulled a dressing room together for each of us and offered us sparkling water. These kinds of touches really separate other stores from stores like this one and make me want to go back. They had a ton of inventory and what they didn't have in my size, Angel offered to ship to my house. Will definitely be visiting again! read more

I ordered a Buck Mason shirt and absolutely loved it. I got a stain on it and tried to spot treat it myself. DO NOT DO THIS. The pigmented dye comes out very easily. After I completely ruined my shirt I called Buck Mason customer support and they told me to NEVER spot treat their garments. If there is a stain you need to treat the whole shirt by soaking it in soapy water and then washing it. They were extremely generous in providing credit towards another shirt. I highly recommend buying from Buck Mason. They have incredible customer service and extremely comfortable clothing! read more

GREAT basics for dudes -- think elevated Everlane with consistently gorgeous fabrics and better colors. They managed to design a sueded cotton turtleneck that doesn't look ridiculous and is wearable under a casual workshirt. Bought one of those in the Venice Wash color as well as one of their Pima Cotton tees for my partner and I feel like they both just go with everything. Lets be fair about this. The clothing styles and materials and overall designs are what set this clothier apart from others. I started out as a loyal customer. HOWEVER, their customer service is beyond horrible!! It is essentially non existent. Their phone remains unanswered during business hours, their emails are promptly answered by automatic responses promising to contact the customer and they don't. It is a real hit and miss luck of the draw as to whether or not someone will eventually address the issue. For these reasons which in my opinion, far outweighs any quality they merchandise they sell, I am choosing to forever boycott them and urge you to do the same. In this economy cash is king and we need to send companies like this one a strong message. When their sales drop maybe they will listen and improve their customer service. Theres a reason they bombed on shark tank and all I can say is how fortunate for the sharks a deal was not negotiated. This company is no longer worth another second of my time or money. read more
