I am a returning patient to Agile, for a new treatment. The folks at the front desk are friendly and helpful. Text messages regarding appointments, information and check-ins are very helpful. I am currently working with Payton on some issues with my back. She works me through different exercises/treatments to find which ones help and which ones don't and provides me with all I need to continue my exercises at home. This is a great place. From the front office to the therapists, every one is super-organized and professional. The therapists are very good. I had a complex situation going on and my therapist (Payton) even helped with the diagnosis in terms of whether it was hamstring tendinosis, a muscle injury or spinal neuropathy related. Even the Doctors I saw couldn't be sure. But by making me do various movements, Payton was able to narrow it down. read more

My therapist -- Alexandra -- holds a doctorate in PT for shoulders, and so is the perfectly qualified person for therapy on my newly installed shoulder. Had about 5 sessions of PT for an injured forearm in summer 2023. My sessions were with Noom Sirimaturos. I had a great experience, top to bottom. Front desk and scheduling was done professionally and quickly. My therapist Noom was great. And they accommodated a few 'high-maintenance' requests of mine! Love this place for it's convenience with parking and the staff there. I work with Janelle and she's been a great PT and teacher for my busted hip. I can't say enough good things about her knowledge and work-attitude - she pushes and breakthroughs do happen! Also, she's the only person that has ever graduated (dumped) me as a patient because she believes in my ability to rehab and stay strong on my own! I went from unable to walk without a cane to feeling pain-free and not crippled again*. (* disclaimer that in the beginning I worked with her and a trainer at the gym for the ol' hip 4 days a week to avoid total hip replacement.) Aside from the many wonderful therapists there the front desk folks are my chosen family. They are fantastic and always greet everyone with positivity and a genuine want to help. The only reason for the one star off is that scheduling is TOUGH. These therapists are wanted/needed so you have to schedule out 2 months to ensure that you get the time that you need, but you're in good hands when you show up or call in for some times. read more

I highly recommend Alex at Agile. She is knowledgeable and precise. She thinks carefully and strategically about a recovery plan and places a strong emphasis on form to make sure you are getting the most out of the exercises. She is communicative and encouraging and very willing to teach you along the way so you can understand the purpose of each exercise. She is adaptive and makes sure to take all factors into account. Not good physical therapy. I went in for carpal tunnel (had 3 appointments), and they ended up making my pain much worse. I think they were trying to push me too much too soon but it set me back weeks at least in my recovery. Also crazy expensive ($250/hr compared to the $150/hr I'm now paying for much better PT). Do not recommend. Update: they refunded my payments after I complained. +1 star for good customer service. read more

Jamie Yang is an extraordinarily brilliant, knowledgeable and competent physical therapist. I have seen her many times over the years as I have a compromised spine. Jamie asks many questions to ensure she understands the parameters of your issue and your pain. She is meticulous in taking notes and in writing up your exercises, with great precision (with videos on your own phone) and notes (on her laptop) so she is fully focused on your progress. I look for two qualities when I choose a PT facility: exceptional expertise and open communication. Thankfully, Agile has both. Most of the PTs have their DPT and I was fortunate to be assigned to Scott Young who also has expertise in sports injuries. He worked carefully with my unique condition and answered my email questions within hours of receiving them. He was a true partner in my recovery process. I'm an 86 year old man who until Covid actively hiked in our foothills and regularly walked daily 2 - 3 miles in spite of arthritis. But lack of exercise and a knee problem, had me really run down. My orthopedist sent me to Agile for 8 visits. I've completed 4 so far. Scott Young carefully evaluated my range of motion, knee and joint conditions, weak points and designed a program that works for me. I've done custom exercises Scott chose for me, adjusted and upgraded each week and the strength and mobility progress has been steady. There's no need for pain to improve. Three months ago, I had foot surgery and started physical therapy a few weeks later. My foot was quite scarred, swollen, and somewhat disfigured. Logically I knew the swelling would go down but felt I would have to live with the disfigurement. Fortunately, with help from the outstanding physical therapists from Agile Physical Therapy, Sarah Correll and Jessica, my foot is almost back to what it was before the surgery. Their knowledge, professionalism, patience, and understanding were phenomenal. They pushed me to limits I didn't think were possible and encouraged me to keep going even when it hurt. Sarah and Jessica took the time to genuinely get to know me and, more importantly, put up with listening to my stories! There wasn't a time when I wasn't greeted with a smile, making my time with them much more enjoyable. I would not have had the success I've had without their positive outlook and exceptional knowledge of their craft. And there isn't enough I can say about their outstanding skills! It is clear they love what they do and care even more about their patients. Agile physical therapy is fortunate to have such a talented and gifted staff! I have been receiving PT from Scott Young at Agile Physical Therapy in Palo Alto following arthroscopic knee surgery. Scott is terrific and I am so glad to be working with him. He is extremely knowledgable and thorough, and has been great at explaining the reasoning behind all the different exercises that he has me do for my particular problem. He is pleasant and takes time to understand any of my concerns and in answering my questions. He is always positive and never critical, and I appreciate his calm and friendly demeanor. In person sessions at Agile PT are carried out with great attention to concerns for Covid-19, and I have never felt unsafe. His education, work ethic, and calm and great personality helped and encouraged me. I was there for work spinal fusion. She is not only an incredibly intelligent and gifted physical therapist, she's also a caring human who takes patients injuries very seriously and thinks strategically about their recovery. I've had and heard of experiences where physical therapists just push for standard exercises without considering the patient's anatomy. Not so with Rachel. She takes a detailed and high-level account of her patients and is a true advocate for recovery. Can't say enough great things about her kindness professionalism and expertise. I went to a neurologist, neurosurgeon and multiple emergency room doctors before going to her. No one had the depth of knowledge and care that Rachel exhibited in diagnosing and creating a treatment plan for my herniated lumbar disc. She even went above and beyond in helping me connect to another pain management expert who could confirm and further diagnose me to give me peace of mind. I'm grateful to have found her. She was a referral through a local PAMF oncologist who knows nearly every practitioner in the area and says Rachel is the absolute best in her field and craft! I went to Agile assuming that the pain down my leg was due to Sciatica. Janell, the physical therapist was recommended by my neighbor who is also a PT., Janell carefully checked my leg, asked a lot of questions, and suggested that it might not be Sciatica but rather my knee..Long story short, after several sessions working my knee and plenty of "homework" stretches to do, my leg is almost pain free. I received physical therapy from Janelle for an injured bicep muscle. Janelle diagnosed my problem quickly and gave me exercises to do each week. I found her to be knowledgable, competent and fun to work with. My problem improved and Janelle was always happy with my gains. I never had the impression that she wanted treatment to last forever. Stay as far away from this business as possible. I had been going there since April 2016, so I feel as though I can speak with some experience regarding how things work here. They absolutely without a doubt are ruled not by what's best for the patient but what their bottom line will return to their pockets. I was told after going there once a week for 7 months that I had no more appointments. Of course they did this without warning and without the courtesy of a phone call. They had gotten all they could get out of me and had no more use of me. I'm a cancer patient and getting to their office is difficult for me, but that made absolutely no difference to them at all. I was no longer viable. Please try and find therapists that really care about the patient and stay away from the ones who only look at the bottom line. We all need to make a living but these guys are beyond the pale. Stanford has a really good physical therapy department. You might want to start there. read more
