Avoid this business at all costs !! I took my brand new 2025 Lucid to them and had a horrible…read moreservice experience. Initially I was quoted 2 days for the work to be completed. It turned out to be a full 9 days before I received the vehicle back. Upon inspection, I noted a few areas that appeared to be flawed with bubbles/ lines, etc. I was assured that this was a normal part of the curing process, and to allow a week or two for the film to adjust. About two days later, I noticed that the film was completely lifting off of the trunk of my vehicle. I was told that the tech didn't cut the piece long enough. I gave them back the vehicle for a second application of the PPF to the trunk area. They took another 4 days to have the film reapplied. Again, I received the vehicle back with imperfections that I was assured would adjust in the curing phase. On my follow up appointment, after the curing phase, an area on my trunk had not adjusted as I was advised it would and required yet another (3rd) application of the PPF. I took the vehicle back a third time, at which point they were also to apply the windshield protection film to the vehicle. I was promised a day, it took an additional two. On the day I was supposed to receive the vehicle back, I received a call advising me that during the 3rd application to the trunk they had lifted the paint off of my vehicle (they are not a body shop). Therefore the vehicle had to be towed to a body shop for painting. That took about 5-6 weeks. Once I received the vehicle from the body shop I was able to fully inspect the windshield film that was applied to the vehicle. Upon inspection I noticed the very same imperfections (bubbles, lines,etc) on the windshield. Some of these are in the actual field of vision for the driver and obscure the view. So now, this is another thing I will have to have redone. Overall, it just seems like really sloppy work. They claim to have 20+ years experience in the business, but I did not receive a level of service that reflected that at all. Don't believe me? Check out Google reviews. During the pandemic, I purchased a classic van. It came without a stereo; the previous owner…read moreremoved it. I had a small budget for something temporary so I purchased a Pioneer unit on Amazon. Afterwards, I contacted Hot Tint in May 2022. They responded to me that day and told me to stop by the shop. I made an appointment for later that week. When I arrived, I asked them to install the unit and a backup camera. I can't recall how much time it took but it was done in a reasonable amount of time and I'm happy with their service. I called a few other shops around this time. A couple had other projects and couldn't get to me for a few months. A couple of others didn't want to touch the van because of its age, manufactured in 1989. Hot Tint was straight-forward. They said let them see what I have and they'll let me know if they could use what I had or needed something else. I appreciate that approach. I did have a couple of problems but they were responsive. While driving home, my radio rebooted twice. The cable came loose so they told me to return to the shop so that they could fix it. The second is my clock resets to 12:00 every time the vehicle is restarted. They told me to bring it by so that they can fix it but I haven't. I'm rarely on the screen to see the time and just had other priorities. I mention these items to show that they were responsive and willing to troubleshoot the problem. I rate them high also because there are many mechanics and technicians who can work on a classic vehicle but refuse to do so. There are a handful like Hot Tint that jumps right in and do the job. I'm finally ready to add an amp and subwoofer so I will be contacting them again soon.

I know this is a long review, but I wanted to make sure I included all the major details so…read morepossible future customers are informed. My car was rear ended and only received superficial damage to the plastic bumper cover and a small minor dent on the lift gate. The responsible parties insurance company claimed responsibility and sent me a check for $2300 for repairs. I knew it was a little low, so I decided to take it to JT's Collision to get another estimate. When I took it there, I was told they wouldn't do an estimate and that they would just work directly with the insurance company on cost after they took the bumper off to see if there was any other damage. Right then, I kind of had a weird feeling in my stomach that something wasn't right. I ignored that feeling since I wasn't paying for the repairs anyway and dropped my vehicle off at JT's Collision Repair on August 7th and was told it would take 2-3 weeks for repairs. After the first 3 weeks and still not getting a call from the shop, I called them and they stated that they are waiting for the insurance company to approve additional repairs. He told me the lift gate needed to be completely replaced. Now mind you, I took the pictures you see in the review before I dropped the vehicle off. There were no check engine lights, no bent frame, and even the liftgate only had minor damage. Everything was superficial. The guy said it would be another two weeks, so I waited another two weeks. Each week after that, the return date kept getting pushed back and back with new supplemental repairs, until over two months later, I finally was able to pick up my car. Essentially, they "claimed" they performed all this work on the vehicle that was required and needed payment from the insurance company before giving me back my car. When I picked up my car and looked at the seam between the rear driver quarter panel and the bumper, there was a build up of paint on it, almost as if the bumper was painted after they installed it on the vehicle. At the end of the day, JT's Collision charged more than $10K for the repair of my car. Look at the damage and look at the cost they charged to repair that damage and you tell me if it was worth more than $10K. Granted, I didn't pay a cent because the insurance company footed the bill, however, keep that in mind if you are going there to get your car fixed with your hard earned dollars. Body shops that price gouge insurance companies is part of the reason your insurance rates are high. I can't say definitively what they did and didn't do in regards to the repairs, what I can say definitively is if my car was ever damaged again, I would absolutely NOT take it to JT's Collision.
