What we uncovered was a lot of pretty gems. Once you're done you sit down with the employees who go over all the different gems with you, and options to get it into jewelry. I bought 2 rings and a pendant from the stones we found, 3 stones cut down to 2 KT each. Overall fun experience, it is a little pricey, but fun. For the 3 pieces of jewelry and cuts, it was over $400. Employees are friendly and nice.

It took about 30 mins for both of us to be completed with the bucket. The gems we discovered ranged in size, from really small to extremely large. Once done, we went, sat down with an employee who told us all about each rock type. He laid them out, and took time explaining them. Once that was done, they have jewelry options if you want to have the stones cut down and made into rings, necklace (and I think earrings?) I decided to get 2 rings 2 carats each, and 1 necklace 2 carats. Once the stones were selected, he took the stones and gave us the rest in a bag to take home. Overall with bucket, 3x 2 carat cuts and the jewelry it was ball park $500. It took about 6.5 weeks for the jewelry to come in, once they did they were great quality, very beautiful, and worth it.

Our GPS got us there - there were also signs pointing to where to go! I'm not quite sure where to start as we had an AMAZING experience at Firefly! There is no set class times or anything - it's just come as you can/when you can. The studio was smaller than I had expected, but that's ok. It was perfect! There were 4 other people inside when we got there and we had enough spaces without us being on top of each other. Originally, we were going to do just 1 piece each. But we all had so much fun and it went much quicker than we had thought, that we ended up doing 2 pieces each! The options were a 5x5 tray ($40), a 3x3 ring tray ($22), a funny face magnet ($18), a hangy thing (a sun catcher type thing - $20), or a pendant ($20). The prices include the shipping. Nancy, the owner, fires everything up in her kiln to put it together and then sends it to you. I cannot wait to get our pieces back in the mail. We picked our pieces and started working on them. When you figure out what you want, you use a bit of Elmer's glue to lightly glue it in place. It was so fun trying to decide what to do and to let the creative juices flow!
