There was a sign advertising make your own glass jewelry and my daughter thought that would be fun to do. The owner, Kimberly, greeted us and started to set up for my daughter. She explained the whole process and even took her into the workshop to show her the kilns and other equipment that are used. She then let my daughter get to work and helped her find glass pieces that would fit the necklaces she was making. She said it would take about a week to fire it and ship it home. It arrived today and my daughter was so happy. Kimberly even took the time to include a personal note thanking us for stopping into her shop. I would definitely recommend doing this if you have children that are into arts & crafts, plus it supports a small local shop making unique items instead of the commercialized souvenirs that most places in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge sell.
