As our wedding was last summer (2015), I'm a little late on this review. But, in a word, amazing. There. Stop reading, just call her, email her, skywrite, whatever it takes. GO SEE SASHA! A little more details? Okay, since you asked. So... neither my wife or I are what you would call religious (one of us is an atheist, the other something akin to a Buddhist minus the Buddha and food restrictions mixed with Jedi/Sith minus the magic, mixed with logic...ist..ism?, anyway); however, several family members and guests would definitely be "God-fearing folk," if you will. Now this was a minor concern to me, but somewhat of a bigger concern for my wife. So we stuck to our guns and went with Sasha. After the ceremony, several uber religious guests at our wedding were actually pleasantly shocked (not appalled, frightened, or even disappointed) to find out that Sasha was not "on the same page" as them in terms of any Supreme Being or Godduhallahagavan (you like what I did there?). In fact, there was even a pastor present who wanted to try to do some what Sasha does in the weddings they perform from now on. Long story short, the ceremony was great. We loved working with Sasha from the first meeting to when we handed over our wedding license! There's something about Sasha that makes you feel very comfortable and at ease in a seemingly hectic wedding planning process. Me and my (now) husband didn't really know what we wanted or expected out of a wedding officiant, only that we needed one, and wanted a non-denominational ceremony. Sasha was transparent and knowledgeable about the entire process, and has a really organized way of helping you choose the content of the ceremony script, vows and general feel. She has a lot of pre-written options to choose from and makes great recommendations - and will also accommodate any custom requests. A couple of months after our first meeting, she sent over the final script for review. Had we had a lot of changes I am sure she would have accommodated, but since we really didn't have much to change, we didn't end up talking to her until much closer to the wedding to confirm details. She was very timely about following up about a week before our wedding, and gave us all the details we'd need to know (e.g. bring marriage license, what to expect, etc.). On the day of our wedding she showed up an hour before the ceremony and gave us a briefing/tips on how the ceremony would run. She also spoke directly with our witnesses who signed our marriage license, and even took care of sending in the paperwork! Sasha did a wonderful job with the actual ceremony, i'm so happy with how it turned out. She is truly a talented professional, and we got a lot of compliments on how beautiful people thought the ceremony was. I love Sasha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'd give her ten stars if I could. Not only was she affordable and professional, but she was overly prepared and was able to do our ceremony even after we'd apparently given her the wrong time for the start by an hour. She simply told us to relax, walked up, and held the ceremony as if nothing had gone wrong. When I arrived at the bottom of the stairs to see my now wife, I was so, so nervous. Sasha took a private moment with the mic down at her side to tell us both, "Breathe. This is the time for deep breaths." It was a very welcoming, calming act that helped us focus. And when we inevitably messed up our lines or needed a tissue, she was there to the rescue. Not even kidding - she had tissues ready for me once my wife started reading her vows! Also, after the ceremony, my wife's shoes were really rubbing her feet badly. She was in so much pain. We found Sasha as our witnesses were signing the papers, and she had a little wedding kit, complete with band-aids!! I can't even say how happy my wife was to see that. We got to take a breather while she fixed her feet. One last thing - we owed Sasha half of our payment the day of the wedding but in all the chaos of telling her the wrong time, we didn't get a chance to pay her. She was incredibly good about this, telling us "don't worry about that right now!" and later on sent an email letting us know how to pay. It was just so sweet of her, to allow us our own time for the ceremony and marriage without stressing over something else. It really meant the world to us. We were looking for someone that was spiritual, but not religious. We actually interviewed three different officiants for our wedding, Sasha being the first. From the first time we met up with Sasha to discuss what we wanted for our wedding, we knew in an instant that we just had to have her as our wedding officiant! Sasha just has a way of making you feel very comfortable and it was very easy to connect with her. You can also tell that she sincerely wants the best for your ceremony and made the whole initial steps very easy to take in figuring out what we want for our wedding. She's also very professional and goes above and beyond. She was very patient when there were lulls in communication on our part (running around and planning a wedding can get overwhelming for brides as you all know), and was very helpful and prompt in answering questions. She also wrote a beautiful ceremony script that has just the right amount of duration---not too long, not too short, and one that truly reflects our love and our personality. She also helped make sure that the wedding vows that my wife and I wrote go together without giving away any of the content of what the other wrote, and we didn't even have to worry about where to put our vows because they're included in this small book that has our ceremony's script and vows in it, which she gave to us as a keepsake. How awesome is that? She also arrived an hour early to make sure that the string quartet know when to start playing music for particular parts, and she collaborated with the photographers and videographers as well to make sure that taking shots and videos will go smoothly and they'll know what to expect beforehand, which I think is awesome and I never would have expected for an officiant to care about, but Sasha is definitely a super woman! I found Sasha online while searching for someone to officiate my son's wedding. She was perfect. At first, I was taken in by her warm, loving smile in the photo. The officiant was something we put off because we didn't think it was a huge deal. We started meeting with other officiants about 6 weeks out, that did not go so well.
