Unfortunately, I was not able to have the Forever & Always Wedding that I dreamed of. Although Heather communicated very well, there were a couple of incidents that I found slightly unprofessional: 1. I signed a contract with one of her staff as my wedding planner. Unfortunately, from my understanding, there were unexpected changes in the company, so Heather had to take over. However, Heather responded that she would make an exception for me and not charge me an additional $1000 for this change. With all due respect, I should not be financially penalized for changes that an owner experiences; especially since I already signed the contract that I financially agreed to. 2. I encountered a lot of life changes that disrupted my ability to move forward with a wedding that my brothers were supposed to be in. For instance, I had a depressed, suicidal brother, I had another brother leave for Japan for the Marines, and I had an uncle pass away. All vendors except for Heather were so kind to fully refund my deposits due to the situation. Unfortunately, Heather responded that she was still a businesswoman and was financially hurting, so she was in no place to offer a full refund. I basically paid Heather almost $500 to establish a simple contract. I already had all the vendors in place and organized, so this deposit was for nothing. Heather should not be held responsible for unexpected circumstances, but this wedding meant a lot to me. As a business owner, you should be able to compromise with your clients based on their situation. I could have easily used that deposit to help my family for the funeral. I find this situation absurd because I never wanted a wedding planner to begin with. Our wedding list was only 32 guests, but my fiancé insisted that we hire a planner because he did not want me to stress out. I admire him for caring, but this wedding was going to be a private and intimate event with very little management. I blame myself for hiring a wedding planner when I did not need one. It is unfortunate that Heather was thinking like a businesswoman and not a human being with empathy. Nonetheless, please make sure to ask about the refund policy for emergencies such as death, health, etc. Two stars are for her communication, but I can only evaluate Heather based on my experience with her before the wedding date. Therefore, I am unable to provide feedback for her day service since my wedding never happened. Has it ever occurred to you, Heather, that you had not heard from me in a year because I was busy dealing with other important things like planning a funeral? My wedding was the last thing on my mind. Also, I was not complaining about the charge that never happened, I am complaining about your response to your changes. There was no need to comment on that you are more expensive and won't be charging me. We could have proceeded forward with whatever it was we were doing. You contacted ONE venue and that is because they had YOU sign a contract with them. FYI, my pre-engagement photos were scheduled with the photographer I hired for my wedding and I was still refunded the full amount. This vendor did not work for free either and still managed to prioritize customer service over money. You are a business owner and have the liberty to do as you please, but you must have needed the money more than I did, so I hope my contributions helped your business. Nonetheless, well done on your communication. If you have a family member with a life-threatening illness or you have a medical condition that may require potential hospitalization, please do not hire Heather as your wedding planner as she will not refund you the deposit because not make exceptions for your situation simply because she does not "work for free." It's so important to relate to and connect with your wedding planner and from day 1 it felt like she was my friend helping me plan my dream wedding. I found Heather through Yelp and let me say: she really understood my vision and kept it real with me on what i could and couldn't afford lol. Not to mention, I literally and honestly don't know how I could have enjoyed my wedding without Heather. It is hard to even start writing our review for Forever & Always Weddings & Events because every part of trusting Heather with our wedding was magical. From the very beginning, after we hopped off of our first introduction video chat with Heather, we both looked at each other and said "she's hired!". We met with a few other planners prior to meeting Heather but never felt that seamless connection with others as we did with Heather. She wasn't boastful or aggressive, yet we could tell she was confident and experienced. That she was! During our wedding journey, Heather did monthly check in calls with us and was more than accommodating with our 8-5 work schedules. Those monthly check ins were task-oriented and deadline driven, which completely helped us be accountable for all things wedding. In between those months, we had many minor but important questions that Heather answered promptly with experienced advice. Our wedding day felt so seamless and we could not have done it without Heather's planning services, which included the creation of our wedding day timeline/schedule. I handed over containers of our props and spreadsheets of where I wanted items to be, and she was able to execute the whole look of our cocktail hour, welcome table, desserts tables, guest tables & cake table (pictures included here) - it was absolutely stunning! I was never asked any questions on the day of and just knew Heather had it under control. We knew her experience and confidence equipped her to handle any of the natural chaos on the wedding day and she did NOT disappoint! My favorite parts about choosing FAWE was being able to share my common frustrations of wedding planning with Heather, not feeling humiliated for not knowing all things wedding prior to planning and feeling supported by a seasoned wedding expert. I was planning a multicultural wedding with several ceremonies and outfits. Heather really understood my needs and budget right off from the bat and she was super easy to talk to. FAWE was the only vendor to give me a proposal that fit exactly what I asked for. When I had expressed I was worried I couldn't handle a specific ceremony by myself, instead of taking advantage of my worry (and adding extra costs), she gave me confidence that it was simple and I could do it from her previous experience. I appreciated her honesty and felt like she was on my side. Since I planned everything and my venue provided a lot of what I needed, I decided to get a day of coordinator and worked with Courtney and her assistant. I really loved that Courtney really understood the nuances of multicultural weddings and knew how to create a schedule that can fit everything that I wanted. She was a great sound board to bounce ideas off of as I was putting everything together in calls leading up to the wedding. She was also super detailed and even remembered that I should check the batteries for my polaroid camera (which I needed new batteries for!) We had the pleasure of having both Heather and Kari coordinate our wedding. Where to start?! After postponing our wedding due to COVID, we were able to quickly pick a new date and transition all the vendors over. There were areas we wanted to cut costs such as making some of the DIY decorations & welcome signs. Heather is truly amazing! I had a feeling we were going to use her services from the first time we talked on the phone. She listened to me and my worries intently, (me freaking out that my wedding was only three months away), and made me feel completely assured. My parents and I realized we were in way over our heads and needed a professional to take the reins. I knew my wedding was going to be a challenge as we decided to have it at my parents' home instead of a traditional venue and with 200 guests. Heather was the first planner that I spoke with that was excited by our idea and was genuinely interested in helping us see it come to life. I have always been rather frugal and money conscious growing up, so when my bride-to-be asked for a wedding coordinator on top of the already extraordinary amount of money we were planning to spend on our wedding, I balked at the suggestion. I thought a wedding coordinator was a luxury. We could depend on ourselves, our bridal party, or even our families to help us coordinate the day-of affairs. We were already struggling to make budget cuts, and adding this expense was just going to make everything 10x more difficult to manage. I couldn't have been more wrong. While I do think we could have managed if we didn't move forward with Courtney and FAWE, the wedding would have been completely different. I had always imagined that a wedding was something you just get over. Just make it out alive. Asian weddings especially, we are just at the service of our family and guests. I never imagined to actually enjoy the day of the wedding. That's where Courtney and FAWE came in. While I do think we probably could have managed if we relied on ourselves and our bridal party to coordinate the day-of affairs, we would have never been able to actually enjoy ourselves. Being able to completely let go on the day of, and trust that someone would take care of anything that came up was a blessing and, I suppose, a luxury. But it was a necessary luxury, because it was the difference between terrible memories versus actually enjoying your wonderful day, and making sure your loved ones enjoy that day as well. Courtney and FAWE was amazing in every single way. They were professional, compassionate, communicative, calming, and incredibly reassuring. From the moment I first contacted Heather with Forever and Always Weddings and Events (FAWE) she was exceptional. I hired her company for our "Day of Coordinator" for our wedding on September 9th 2018. I must say "day of" is not the right word choice, they were really there for me from the moment I hired them. We were assigned Courtney B. as our lead coordinator and she was a life saver with all those last minute details you never think of and helped keep me in check with timelines, vendor contact and confirmation, and checklists to make sure we had all our ducks in a row. The day of our wedding she was on top of everything, when we arrived at the venue I didn't have to do or worry about a thing except getting dressed and starting photos. Courtney and her assistant directed and helped with guest arrival and needs, made sure the reception room and decor was set up properly and called/texted to follow up with our second photographer when she was running 45 min late! Alleviating my stress and anger that a vendor could be running so late. At the end of the wedding they managed all the organizing of our belongings, gifts, vendor rentals and clean up. The whole night ran smoothly and we had the best night of our lives. We definitely owe everything to Heather, Courtney, her assistant and the entire "FAWE" team. The best thing about FAWE and the thing I appreciate the most is after the wedding the business owner Heather reached out to me to see how things went and to check in. After talking with her she learned our flakey second photographer who was 45 minutes late and left 30 minutes early had not delivered her photos by the contracted deadline and has blocked all means of contact with my husband and I she immediately offered to help in several ways. (Forwarding all of FAWES attempts to contact the photographer days prior to the wedding, day of the wedding and even after the wedding) Unfortunately we have to pursue legal action against this photographer and FAWE has been amazing in assisting us even after our wedding. I would give 100 stars if I could and definitely recommend hiring FAWE! read more

Courtney is such a gem and was absolutely Godsend on our wedding day. First and foremost, the booking process was made so easy and seamless through Forever and Always Weddings and Events. I had the pleasure of speaking and booking through the owner, Heather, who was very sweet, professional, informative, and receptive to my vision for my wedding. From then on, both Heather and Courtney maintained an open line of communication with me throughout our wedding planning process. Although I only hired Courtney as a day-of coordinator, she and Heather were readily available for me throughout the wedding planning process especially during the tough and uncertain times of covid, causing me to eventually postpone my wedding. Despite all of this, Heather and Courtney were very patient, gracious, and supportive of us during these times. Finally as our wedding got closer, I was able to share everything I envisioned for my big day with Courtney, which she was really receptive to and helped to facilitate to bring to fruition. During our church wedding rehearsal, which was unexpectedly being overtaken by the church liaison that was also present, Courtney was literally our rock and biggest advocate in keeping everything consistent with what we wanted for our ceremony. I was truly grateful for Courtney during this process because she literally knew everything I wanted, even things that were not discussed prior. It was almost like she knew what I was thinking and was always one step ahead. It was such a relief to have a coordinator that was completely on the same page as you throughout your wedding day and I knew I was able to fully entrust Courtney with everything. Being weddings are never perfect, of course there were certain things that were overlooked by the venue, however Courtney saved the day and was able to facilitate everything to be exactly how I had planned it to be. Also, another essential task that I entrusted to Courtney was setting off our cold sparklers, which we rented 4 in a row near our dance floor, during key moments of our reception (grand entrance of Mr. & Mrs. & big number of our first dance). Courtney executed this so perfectly and it made for amazing pictures, memories, and a show for all our guests. I am so truly grateful for Courtney and her team for making our special day possible. Heather was our wedding planner for our backyard reception. She did a wonderful job reaching out to all vendors months in advance and was always in communication with them as well as me. She was very organized and helped my husband and I stick to our budget, offering fun cheaper alternatives. She was always available to bounce ideas off and was enjoyable to work with. Heather, owner and operator of "Forever and Always" wedding and event planning, navigated our daughter and fiancé through postponing their wedding relatively last minute due to the pandemic. She contacted all of the vendors and renegotiated all of the contracts. We had many because the wedding was at our home. During the initial planning stages she arranged and accompanied me to all of the tastings at caterers we were considering and meetings at our home with the vendors. She maintains good relationships with her preferred vendors and follows up diligently with unresponsive vendors. She responds to texts, emails, and phone calls promptly or in a timely manner. She comes up with creative ideas when needed or asked. Our daughter lives in Colorado and Heather was able to keep in contact with she and her fiancé regularly during the pandemic lockdown and kept us abreast of any changes in CA state policy when needed. Heather was pure gold throughout the wedding process, I honestly don't know what we would have done without her on the wedding day. She was by far the best thing we paid for. She checked in with us once a month to make sure we were on top of everything and it was also a time for us to get her opinion on all the little details. She was also there for our rehearsal day which greatly helped as she kept everyone together. Where she comes into play the most of course is the wedding day and I have to say for such a small person stature-wise she is one fierce woman. She can keep everyone in check, on time and she constantly checked with us to make sure we were okay. She even went out of her way to carry our flowers from the church to the reception.
