Refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher are all in the cabin as well (we stayed in cabin 3). Parking spaces are conveniently located next to the cabin for easy loading and unloading. The screened back porch features ample seating areas and a ceiling fan to keep things breezy. You will encounter mosquitoes, as you would expect staying in a forest, so bring mosquito spray and/or peppermint oils to deter. I made sure to rub peppermint on the kiddos when they were sleeping to keep them at bay. There are designated fishing areas and swimming areas. Also you can hike! There are camping spaces which we want to stay at next time, it looks clean and kempt! Amazing place to experience :)

The park is named for Edmund Orgill (1899-1983), a progressive Mayor of the City of Memphis in the middle of the twentieth, who fostered better race relations. The Orgill name has been a fixture on the Memphis business scene for nearly two centuries, and Orgill Brothers (Orgill Inc.) is the oldest running business. The hardware distributor was founded in 1847 when the city was less than thirty years old with a population of less than 10,000 citizens. Orgill Brothers sold about anything a pioneer family would need. Orgill Park is composed of 440 acres of rolling meadows, lakeside vistas, paths and shady spaces for all kinds of outdoor recreation enjoyment. Casper Lake is a 67-acre centerpiece for fishing and boating activities, allowing kayaks, canoes and fishing boats (non-motorized except for trolling motors). There is a fishing pier and the lake is stocked with largemouth bass, bream, sunfish, and catfish. There is a boat launch ramp with ample parking for trailers and guests. All TWRA rules (including fishing permits) apply to the use of Casper Lake. Just go on the bass pro shops website and look for pet photos bookings and you can look there if you prefer to have a reservation otherwise the walk-in was there was no line. There was no weight. There were only a handful of customers in the store at that time but again this was an early morning appointment. This location opened at 9 AM and the scheduled photo was pre-selected for 10 AM just to give me an idea, but there were various timeslots so if you are a person that prefers reservations, go ahead and get to the website and click on pit bookings and Reserve your timeslot there but if you're just out and about and you happen to see this post and then walk on in
