I am so pleased with this company! We made a $30k investment in new equipment for our salon. I had more questions than answers and I shopped around with over 6-10 optimal vendors to conduct business. AGS had great reviews but more importantly they had many examples and sample videos of the product. We had to purchase 10 stations( but we started with just one set of everything first - assess the quality! They delivered. They even sent videos to confirm how to use and install their product! They were thoughtful about which products would work best for my style and they were able to accommodate my shipping request. This little gray haired man who worked there, maybe even owned it?, was trying to bullsit me and when I said I know what I'm talking about because I've been in the business my whole life he became extremely rude and belligerent with me and then as he walked ahead of me out of the showroom he pushed the heavy door back so it slammed into me. I found AGS on line when I opened my salon in Daly City California. I was comparing few distributors and decided to give them a try. I am very satisfied with their customer service. I made an appointment over the phone after I settled down in the hotel. The moment I walked in, I got greeted with couple friendly sales people. I showed them my floor plan with dimension. They really took the time to explain to me the difference between all the chairs and stations. I was there around 4 hours and purchased everything I needed except the mirrors. The owner was very nice even offered to drive me back to my hotel. The delivery was faster than what I expected. When I found out there was a leakage on one of the hoses, I called AGS, they were able to send me replacement within 3 days. I have bought 4 chairs from AGS Beauty. I bought one and then when I bought my salon, I purchased the other three. My clients had rave reviews so that gave me confidence to order the other three. The chairs do seem a little tall, but I'm also not very tall myself so this is a normal problem for me. They swivel nicely, and the 'Emes' look of the chair with the wooden back is very smart looking. I was looking for a good, durable, made in USA standing hairdryer. I first tried a mid range plastic stand dryer from another supplier. its legs broke the first day. so, I looked for better models and found AGS Beauty Carrie's the Highland Machine made Freedom high heat Lexan bonnet, not an up-blowing, sturdy salon machines. the 1500 is the standard salon workhorse. I ordered it, then they let me change to the hotter higher wattage model the 1550. Arthur corresponded with me and was prompt, kind and efficient. He shipped it right away because it was in stock. Two days later, I had it in my home! it's constructed so well! All metal body. Lexan double hood, circulates the air so quietly and smoothly. Heats up fast. Perfect. I use a regular chair so I got the optional leg-wheel-handle kit (not used for a dryer chair.) the cost with shipping was lower than other places because I'm next state over. They were fantastic to buy from. My new dryer is a lifetime dream. it would be great for a salon, which is it's intended use. read more

I ordered my Barber chair online from Whittier Ca. I needed the chair faster than the free shipping had offered so my mother and I decided to make the 16hr trip to Portland. When we arrived we were kindly greeted with smiles. We got showed around and given a tour of their inventory and even was given some complimentary micro fiber towels. We had great conversation and were helped with putting the chair into our vehicle. Overall one of the most pleasant experiences. By far the worst customer services ever! I ordered over 4k worth of salon equipment and my order came damaged and had multiple wrong pieces. When I contacted them right away I was told send pictures and I asked if I could at least get things sent out ASAP so we could use our stations and instead I spent 5 days going round and round before I got any resolve and it still isn't right. Then told to damage the product more by making the bottoms the tops or wait 4-6 weeks for news one. Also was told by Lily the manager I was sent a brand new top only to open it and it was clearly a used display top. DON'T FINANCE YOUR EQUIPMENT CAUSE LILY THE MANAGER WILL TELL YOU THAT YOUR SALES ARE FINAL AND THEY DON'T HAVE TO FIX ANYTHING. So unless you pay cash you will be treated horrible by this company. Never will purchase again as a salon owner who has used other company and chose AGS because they were close was by far the worst mistake I have made when purchase salon equipment. Lily the " manager" didn't seem to verify the emails her employee was sending and basically called me a liar which I found funny considering she lied about me being sent a new top when the emails states its a display top. Trust that you will be lied to multiple times when dealing with Arthur Suzan or Lily! I hope AGS response to me like others and tries to say anything about libel as I have written emails to prove all this! I've been working with AGS for 6 months now. The customer service is INCREDIBLE. The original styling chairs I purchased are beautiful. I got the Pergamon design. They're comfortable and hold up nicely and people always complement them. The person who brought them to my space gave me clear instructions on how to put them together. The chairs were so easy to install. I went through a huge transition with my business last summer and needed shampoo bowl chairs in a pinch. I called them on Friday morning and needed them before Sunday. They were closed Friday at 5 and I wasn't able to go pick up the chairs myself. Because I am local to Portland, the person that I was working with over the phone offered to drop them off to my salon that evening on their way home from work. This past month when my business was moving I contacted them because I wanted to upgrade some of the older equipment. I ended up getting new bowls/shampoo units. The Taper unit is gorgeous, comfortable, and looks classy! Once again they were so nice on the phone: answering my questions and dealing with me calling back several times to ask more questions. Felix was the person I spoke with and when I came to pick up the equipment and look at the unit in person he was very patient and made me feel like the most valuable customer. I can't say enough positive things about this company--I've dealt with bad customer service in the past from places that I've purchased equipment from, so AGS is a breath of fresh air in the beauty industry. Worse costumer service ever! You have to call them a hundred times to get in touch with them and they never answer to the messages you leave them or to the voice mails. Horrible horrible costumer service. Got 4 chairs and 4 floor mats, the chairs were beautiful no doubt but the mats were very ugly and look dirty as soon as you touch them.
