Haven't had pizza in awhile wanted a a slice that wasn't too heavy and this was exactly what I wanted. Delivered thru DoorDash and it was quick and easy. We ordered the cheesecake and the pizza de Montclair. It wasn't the best but I was quite impressed. No flop , crispy and the cheese was good quality. Their rigatoni vodka is unreal. I could eat the sauce by the spoonful as if it were soup. It is sooooo incredibly tasty. If I lived closer, I would come back just to get containers of their sauce. Ah' Pizza is in a great location in Harrison with a lot going on around it. It's right by the PATH station and there is a parking garage for the station plus all of the restaurants/shops in the area. The restaurant itself is huge and can definitely accommodate large groups. My fiancé and I came in for dinner on a Saturday and were seated right away. Service was very attentive and our pizza came out pretty quickly. We ordered two of the 12" pizzas which are essentially personal size (definitely too big for me to eat a whole one myself though). We got the Fig pizza which is fig jam, goat cheese and prosciutto di parma drizzled with a balsamic glaze. I did feel that there was a little too much going on with this pizza. Definitely way too much balsamic, it's supposed to just be a drizzle but it overpowered the rest of the flavors. But the fig jam with prosciutto and goat cheese is an amazing combination. We also got The Diablo which is not on the regular menu but was a special that way. The one is more of a traditional cheese pizza topped with soppressata, basil and spicy peppers. Yet another great addition to the Ah' Pizz Family of restaurants. Harrison recently opened and we were excited to try out the new location. Service and food was great! Gigi salad - 10 stars! Fresh fruits and Gorgonzola aplenty! We have not stopped talking about this salad! Fried calamari was cooked perfectly! Our plain margherita and margherita with prosciutto and arugula was scrumptious. Loved the calzone as it wasn't loaded with ricotta which most are and I don't love it that way! The coconut pistachio ice cream dessert was to die for! Although I was stuffed I couldn't stop eating this! It was a snowy ice cold night, but we trekked through it anyways. Only caveat, there is no parking unless you park in a lot nearby. I was able to find parking around the corner on the street, but I still wasn't clear on what lot I was supposed to park in if I couldn't find street parking. Not a Harrison regular so a bit confusing for us. I really wish they would have their own lots as Montclair has same issue except you can park in a tiny adjacent lot if spots are open. I've been craving some wood fired pizza for a few weeks now and failed at trying to find a restaurant that could deliver to my area. When I found Ah'Pizz I didn't hesitate to order despite some of the reviews. I ordered the Margherita pizza with a Cesar salad. I would say that the food is fairly priced and have no complaints there. Unfortunately, when the pizza arrived it was cold so I put it in my oven for about 10 minutes just to heat it up a bit. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give this pizza a 5. I was really disappointed with the quality of the pizza. It's not the worst pizza but certainty not near the best either. I was surprised at the generous portion size of the salad; it was an average Cesar salad. Nothing too exciting. read more

This place is nice. It was close to the hotel we were staying in. I took my family for pizza. The pizza is made fresh to order in brick oven. We ordered the deep dish pizza. I was highly disappointed when the pizza arrived because I'm from Chicago home of the deep dish and let me tell you the pizza I received was NOT deep dish. The pizza was good. It wasn't hot enough though. The crust was cooked well but the toppings were just warm. I literally stopped eating because I wanted to microwave the pizza. Outside of that, the staff was nice. Overpriced. And food and drinks are genuinely not good. I've had nice waiters, but everybody else has been so rude including our latest interaction with the manager and bartender. Happy hour is posted on every menu on every table. No where does it say that happy hour is only at the bar. Plus, area we were sitting is directly in front of the bar, so could be "bar area" depending on the bar restaurant. Not only is it not listed, but no one verbally​ mentions it is not for where we were sitting, even though we were exclusively ordering ​ happy hour items. Only found out when we just happened to ask just before putting in the bulk of our order. Okay, fine. It's a mistake. Server suggested we could move to the bar. She was really nice about it. Nobody else was. They didn't like where we sat at the bar, but it was literally where the server suggested we sit? Then, the bartender clearly wanted to minimize what we were ordering off of the happy hour menu. We got to the bar with like 20 minutes left. At 6:55, tried to put in one happy hour drink, and she literally refused. She said "there's not enough time, by the time I put it in it will be past happy hour." Not joking, she was 2 steps away from the POS and trust me, it was not busy. We only go here when friends from out of town want to check it out because it looks cute and we can't dissuade them. Our group (IPA) of about 35 members decided on Ah' Pizz for our end of year holiday party. The management and staff could not have been more accommodating, friendly or efficient in making our large group feel very welcomed. Some got there early and were able to enjoy a cocktail at the bar, which is very modern looking, casual, bright comfortable lighting, sparkling clean and good sized. As we got closer to our meeting time quite a few of our members were arriving and had congregated at the bar and were having a great time. The bartenders were fast, professional and very friendly and the pours were generous. Vibrant bar scene and great ambiance. You knew this party was off to a good start! As we sat at the bar we were able to see the different types of pizzas and other dishes come out from the kitchen and one looked better than the next and drew a lot of positive comments from our group. The pizzas are cooked in a brick over and is thin crusted. The bar is separate from the large party area in the back but there are also plenty of tables near the bar if that's your preference (usually mine). On a side note, Ah' Pizz has a very cool looking outdoor dining patio when the weather allows. Once we sat down the servers were very quick in bringing out salads, those mentioned various specialty pizzas, pasta dishes, chicken dishes and more. Ah' Pizz has a good sized menu. It was hard to keep up with the great variety of pies because you wanted to give each one a try. And yes, the pizzas were as delicious as they looked, as was everything else. Not a soul had a complaint about either the food or the service, which is unusual for such a large group. (There's usually always one-LO). We ended with dessert which was a Nutella pizza and cappuccino. We have to give a big shout out to the management and staff of Ah' Pizz for providing us with a great venue for our event. If you're considering trying out Ah' Pizz for a party type situation or just looking for a nice place to hang out with friends, or by yourself, I would highly recommend it. It sits a block away from the new PATH Station in Harrison and just a few blocks from the Red Bull Stadium. Prices are reasonable in this new and very vibrant section of the NEW Harrison. Harrison was definitely in the need for a new restaurant and Ah' Pizz fits the bill. The interior is beautifully decorated with lights, fire oven that is constantly churning out fresh pizza, and multiple TVs around their full bar for those who are interested in sports. The space is bathed with sunlight from their large windows and you can "people watch" the commuters leaving the train station. Their menu is limited but the food has always been good. They excel in their wide selection of alcoholic beverages and different combination of pizza toppings. Updating my review to focus on the service and drinks. Amazing, friendly staff who never forget about you. Drinks are delicious and they have a great selection. For some apps and drinks, this place is a great option after work or a weekend afternoon hang. They have TVs and sometimes live music too. Outdoor patio is another great add-on. The first time trying this place was for Valentine's Day. We got the margarita pizza, Nutella pizza, & churros; they shaped both pizzas into a heart for the holiday which I thought was so cute. Taste wise, the pizza was phenomenal. I love Neapolitan pizza and love that this place has both options (as well as some deep dish options I saw on their menu). The churros were very good as well and came with a side of nutella and icing. I felt like they were pretty small for $13 which is the only reason this place gets 4/5 stars. The Harrison food scene is not that extensive so having Ah'Pizz in the area is perfect. The decor, service and food are all great. The price is a little high but they are using quality ingredients so that's to be expected. I have visited twice. The first time I tried the goat cheese fritters and the grandma pizza. Both were excellent. On my second visit (today) I had to get the fritters again because I liked them so much the last time and I tried one of the speciality pizzas. It has mozzarella, basil, Parma ham and a butter and lemon sauce. The pizza was little salty but good, the crust was thin and crispy. I will def be back again with another group of friends to try something else! read more

We love this place! We have been going to the Montclair location for years, and thought we'd try this location out. The place is much larger with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. The food is delicious with more menu items, and the staff are great! We were here during a game a redbull stadium, so traffic and parking was a pain. We'll be sure to avoid the area on those days. The place was obviously packed but we didn't wait at all of seats, or have a long wait time for food. We had the "insalta" salad, french fries, and a margherita pizza with onions and peppers. Came here yesterday at around 6:30. It was empty not to many customers there. The hosts as I walked in looked bored, she greeted me then sat me on the table in the far back while i waited for my friend to arrive. They didn't offer me the happy hour menu, I had to ask for it. Even though there was a sign out front saying happy hour 4pm-7pm. I ordered a blue moon while I waited. My friend arrived. He ordered a spiked lemonade, we then proceeded to order the rice ball and wings. We ordered the buffalo chicken pizzaz. Over all the food was amazing. The rice ball was the best! The wings were very tasty a little spicy but great. The pizza was ok. Nothing really special. What I didn't like was the lack of service. They didn't give us water, even though I asked. She took forever to refill my beer. And it just seemed as the sever was distracted. Barely any customers and they were at the bar, I didn't understand why she couldn't come more often to check up on us. Over all, I might return as it's close to the PATH, for a quick bite, but idk... Meatballs appetizer- so hearty and so flavorful. It comes with 2 huge meatballs, 2 pieces of toast on a bed of arugula. The meatballs were definitely yummy stuffed with cheese. Pesto pizza- perfect mix of pesto, sausage, mozzarella! Honestly never had a pesto and sausage combo on a pizza but it was amazing! Fig pizza- DELICIOUS. Full disclosure though, anything with fig spread and cheese is absolutely my thing. This pie had fig, goat cheese and prosciutto...plus a balsamic glaze which literally elevated it to the next level! I know it sounds like a lot going on, but nothing was too overpowering in my opinion. Calamari- the only thing we ordered that was just OK, I don't know if I'd say it's the best I've ever had but my only thing is that I wish they gave some tomato/marinara sauce along with it cause otherwise it was too dry for me. Tiramisu- so creamy and thick. delicious. had less espresso flavor than I'm used to though. Having grown up in and around Harrison it's still baffling just how different this part of town has become. It was just wasted space for decades and now it's booming. Ah'Pizz is a solid addition to the revitalized Harrison that's hip and hot and trying to dethrone Hoboken. This place is spacious and has a cool layout. And if you're a people watcher - you can't beat the constant flow of peeps coming and going from the PATH station a few blocks down. (But if you're more an introvert it's strange to be wolfing down your food while some stranger is staring at you while they're walking to their final destination.) Let's discuss the cons... the restaurant only had one table occupied and where do they sit us? Right next to that table. Why?! Second strike: not bringing out bread. You're giving us these delicious pasta dishes and near the end we actually have to ask for bread so we can do some dipping into the leftover amazing sauces? Not cool. Third strike: the kids meals portions were wildly uneven - one of my kids got pasta which looked mighty small whereas my other kid's plate was so much food we took half of it home. Now the pros and what really matters: the darn food. And on that front they're banging. The specials ($25 for a pasta dish?! In Harrison, NJ?!) were delicious and a solid portion. You can't help but appreciate when they can take a classic (like Linguine With Clam Sauce) and make it their own with a few inspired twists and tweaks. Ordered delivery from Ah' Pizz last night. Their pizza was pretty good; in taste and in portion size. However, their bucatini with clam sauce was weak. It tasted good, but the portion was unbelievably small. If I was dining in and this came out as my main course, it would have been sent back for sure. At $20, it came with 4 tiny little neck clams, and barely any pasta. The value simply isn't there. It would be considered small for a lunch, or even as an appetizer. It came in the small container, half filled. It was realistically less than 1/2 the size of a comparable, typical restaurant serving this. I understand during Covid, everything is hard, but damn. I've posted a picture below. This is the perfect portion if you're like an 8 years old that already ate. I would order here again, for pizza, but would have to think twice about entrees. read more

I've been to the Montclair location and loved it. After hearing one was opening up near me all I could hope was that they would be just as good and yes they are!! Not sure if there is local parking as we walked here. I'm pretty sure there's parking on the side streets. The pizza was not super doughy, nor thick, nor super thin. It's baked just right. You can taste the freshness of everything they use. Our server was great. We asked for his opinion on wine and recommended a particular Pinot. This Pinot was perfect so we got a bottle! He was very attentive and came often, not overwhelming us yet enough to say his service was just right. Aside from this there was two gentlemen who I'm assuming were managers coming to our table to ask if all was ok. Great leadership guys!! Their dessert was finger licking!! Nothing to complain here. I love that I live close enough that when I place an order on the train and get off, I can actually walk over to pick up my order. Heads up that if you're doing a pick up, it will take 20 minutes for your order to be ready. If you're scheduling a delivery, then it will take approximately 45 minutes. Their crust is on point to my preference and their salad is nicely blended so there isn't an overwhelming amount of just lettuce. I recommend getting a pie and salad and splitting it that way you're not stuffed with carbs. Ah' Pizz is the latest addition in Harrison, a much-needed addition at that. Harrison is a newly discovered gem in the suburb of Newark conveniently located at the path. Developers have been capitalizing on this prime real estate and erecting luxury buildings. Harrison is quickly becoming the 'next big area' to compete with Jersey City and Hoboken. One major aspect that is hindering Harrison is notable and accessible restaurants catered towards the new 'Yuppie community' and legacy residents. Enter: Ah' Pizz. Located in the Harrison 330 building, about a block from the PATH station. Ah' Pizz has several locations, offering its pizza, cocktail bar and 'affordable fine dining' to Harrison. Having just opened, my girlfriend and I (being new Harrison residents) decided to check this place out. The atmosphere is what you would expect: Open and Urban. It has a dark city undertone that offers a 'hustle and bustle' fear in the heart of Harrison. The staff is plentiful, friendly and eager to assist. Their menu is the same as other locations, giving you a diverse range of appetizers, pizza's, pasta and sandwiches (much more expansion than a traditional Italian restaurant). We started off eating a Rice Ball stuffed with prosciutto and peas. This was a fairly 'run of the mill' recipe and was delicious. The center was slightly undercooked (mozzarella not fully melted and the temperature was cold). With that said, I can sympathize with them working out the kinks. We split a large traditional pizza with prosciutto. The pizza itself was large (16 inches) and was heavy on the cheese. The prosciutto tasted fairly authentic and wasn't overly salted. The dough had a decent texture that complimented the smoothness of the marinara. One complaint was the formation of the crust was fairly weak. Once again, I am sympathetic to them working out the kinks, and in due time, have confidence their chefs will make quality dishes with their use of quality ingredients. Overall, I am happy Ah' Pizz laid down some roots in Harrison. This is an affordable yet classy bar/restaurant that I will not only dine at but have date nights at as well as bring family and friends when they visit. Keep up the good work! read more
