Pizza craving ... Yelp to the rescue and I realized I was close to Avenue Pizza so I said let's go! Reading the reviews and looking at the menu I was moved to not just order pizza and decided to also go with the chicken snack wraps. Since I knew the wraps were made to order I requested that my slice be heated up so I could eat it while I was waiting ... no inside seating but I was able to eat the entire slice leaning up against the window ... the slice was GOOD! Cheesy a little flop yet still crispy .... I've got to come back to try their specialty pizzas bc the variety sounds insane! The snack wraps were HUGE with 3 to an order and were YUMMY! The woman working the front counter was fast, friendly and efficient as well. Yall will definitely see me again as a regular!

If you're ever in the Bloomfield area and you don't come here when you're hungry, it should be a felony honestly, food so amazing here it makes you wanna slap ya mama fr!! (No mothers have/will be harmed in the process of this review I assure you) $1 wings on Wednesday & the snack wraps McDonald's WISH they could bring back (also half off on Mondays!!) always comes thru in the clutch & gets the job done for my lady & I. Staff are as welcoming as can be & shoutout to ol' Tommy boy for being the life of the party each & every time

Saw they went viral for their snack wraps i just had to try it. This is my 3rd time having it however it never stood a chance for me to take a pic as i would eat it before i could think of a photo. However, make no mistake about it this is the go to place for snack wraps! Can't believe i didn't know about them. Now they're going to get tired of me. Great food , great fast service and a welcoming ambiance. I just wish they had a place to sit and eat.

I have to say is that the pizza is still on point! But them cheese fries with Bacon, just freaking off the chain!!!

The penne vodka from Avenue Pizza is definitely top notch. Possibly the best I've had in the area! The Buffalo Chicken Eggrolls I wouldn't recommend, as they lacked some flavor. The service was pretty quick though, with our takeout order being ready in less than 20 minutes! I would return to try some other things on their menu.

This is the pizza come from the store

Order 2 pizza and a French fries. Both came messy and like bad. The store needs to control their food delivery quality

I enjoy taking my kids out for pizza. First off, there's no place to sit inside. Secondly, the pizza cheese is extra thick and greasy. You can see the grease as soon as you get the pie. It definitely isn't the worst pizza in the area, but i wouldn't really call it good. The atmosphere is promising though. They have cool decor, a big tv as you wait for your food, and a friendly staff. The drawing of SpongeBob and Patrick is definitely cool! That sale sign caught my eye so I definitely will be back to try $1 wings. I'll be back to try the wing special, probably not the pizza though.

I had the ability to try them opening night! They definitely have a few kinks to work out, but they did an all around good job. I tried calling them and was on hold for 20 minutes, called 2 more times, another 10 minutes each. Wife calls as im on hold and orders in seconds! Lucky her... They have street parking, but it's hit and miss... they did a decent job renovating inside. Its a modern rustic look. Everything is brand new so its all shiny and polished. I think that its supposed to be an upscale old school pizza joint. The crew were all running around like crazy! Now onto the food! We ordered 6 items, 1 they were out of and 1 they got wrong... no biggie its their first night! Lets statt with what gave them their name! We got a fat boy pizza. Chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, fries and vodka sauce. It went together pretty well. The sauce was great! The dough, it definitely needed something... it was a bit on the bland and dry side. The rest were all deep fried and as good as they get from being frozen. All together, they did come together in a delicious pie. We also ordered a Chicken Caesar Salad pie, and got a Chicken Caesar Salad, no pie.... they were going crazy so I didn't have them fix it. I don't know if they make their own dressing but it had an amazing flavor to it! And something had a hint of spice! Can't wait to try it on a pizza next time. The rest is a tad bit more downhill sadly. We ordered a potato and egg hero, but when I walked in they said they were going to call us and tell us they couldn't make it, so I swapped it for a grilled chicken hero. Bread was similar to Lenny's and John's, nice and soft. The chicken needed something, it was juicy but bland. Same with the lettuce and tomatoes. A little on the bland side. It needed some sort of kick! Coming up next was the bacon wrapped mozzarella sticks. They were typical frozen sticks, nothing special, and only half were wrapped in bacon. I think that this needs a little tweaking! At least wrap 1 stick with 1 whole slice of bacon, stick a toothpick in it, then deep fry it. It also needs a dip, wich it didn't come with. Up next was the garlic knot bread bowl. It is very deceptive.. it was 6 knots smoothed together to form a ring, and there was gravy inside... I was expecting a massive knot smothered with garlic and seasoning on the outside, and a well inside with gravy... they need to tweak this a bit as well. Lastly, we got the dessert empanadas! Unfortunately I'm full and didn't get a chance to try it yet, but I will update my review with the results All in all. They replaced a nice classic old school pizzeria. I'd have to go back and try the plain, as well as other combinations to make a much better assessment. The vibe inside doesn't really fit into the neighborhood, its upscale clubby. Staff is very friendly! Except for the lady that put me on hold for almost an hour as I drove home.... I think that opening night was successful, hopefully when things calm down, they can be much better!

Half Buffalo chicken with blue cheese and half pineapple. Asked for thin and crispy and they delivered.

Three words: CHECK IT OUT! Avenue Pizza was so delicious and their wings are totally deserving of the hype! SOOOOOO GOOD! Definitely our new pizza joint. Highly recommend! I can't believe we haven't been before! Can't wait to try more of their food!

Alright, I gave these guys another shot. The pizza was good this time. Large pepperoni, hit. No slice missing this time. I also ordered a chicken parm with vodka sauce that sounded amazing. The chicken in this was paper thin and looked deep fried about 15 times. I couldn't even bite into the chicken, Straight sauce and bread. Not coming back.

    BBQ Chicken Wings

Quite disappointed with tonight's order. I have ordered from here multiple times and I get the same thing, thai chili wings and bbq wings. Unfortunately, tonight they tasted horrible. Almost like the chicken wasn't fresh (spoiled). I thought it was just me, but my partner said his tasted the same as well. Super disappointed and a bit concerned. Hopefully food poisoning will not be a problem.

Their Thai chili chicken is so good! It's the best when it is fresh on their pizza. Their food is pretty good and they offer good deals.

We're still slowly working our way through local spots, and Brick + Dough was highly recommended to us. We started with garlic knots, bread, and fries, and honestly... 10/10 across the board. Everything was SO good. The fries especially are still living rent free in my head. We then split three pizzas, all of which were seriously incredible. The perfect balance of cheese, sauce, and crust, just absolutely nailed. We ended the night with cookies and ice cream, and I can confidently say this place will be seeing me again very, very soon. The service was nice, especially because even though we were the only table sitting outside, they were consistently coming out to make sure we were doing OK and had everything we needed. We ordered some garlic knots, which were good, it just seemed a little bit pricey to charge for the marinara sauce separately, which was not really outstanding nor something special, so I would recommend you skip it. We also ordered the chicken vodka Parm pie which was very good. The chicken was very crispy and the pizza was still delicious the next day when we had the leftovers. One of her friends is allergic to gluten, so it was very nice that they were able to accommodate for her. I do wanna point out that we have been to many places that offer gluten-free options and this is the first one I've been to that does charge you extra to make a gluten-free. In terms of price, it is very similar to the other places in Montclair but they do provide very good service and the ambience both outside and inside is very nice.

Guy seemed overwhelmed and reluctantly took my order. I showed up 30 min later and no one had any record of my order. I recognized the guy's voice and told him he took my order. He was pissed and got into a shouting match with me with 3 other customers around. He eventually apologized and offered a free side of meatballs and spaghetti (don't order that btw, super underwhelming). 2nd time: Wife placed an order for a pie with half pepperoni on their website. Came back with the order and the pie had full toppings. Small nit but annoying. 3rd time: I called at 6pm on a Thursday. No one picked up. Opted to place order on their website and got the same item as last time. Showed up at and the same miserable guy asked for my name and order... and then said he didn't have any order. I told him I placed an order on the website... and he said "You should have called." with an awful (only a mother can love) grin. I showed him my email confirming 6:20pm pickup time and he said he had no order... before pulling a pie with my name on it. I asked if it had half pepperoni and it didn't. Full toppings AGAIN. Clearly, their website is not equipped to actually take half toppings orders. Pizza is OK but not worth the headache or poor service here.

We spotted Blue Steel which had good, modern curb appeal to our hungry tummies. It looks like downtown Bloomfield is having a moment with some new condos and nicer restaurants coming in. Thanks, gentrification!? Inside has a clubby, bar vibe and we were seated at a hightop near the bar. I love a good wedge salad. I prefer the classic but I appreciate BSP's variation that has tomato, cucumbers, crispy frizzled onions, feta cheese, homemade ranch dressing, and everything sprinkle seasoning. It was generously sized and refreshing. And there's nothing but good things to say about the Detroit-style ezzo pepperoni pie, except that i wish I had a bigger stomach to eat MORE. After the salad (shared), I was only able to manage one slice, but it was a happy slice. My first time trying Detroit-style and it didn't disappoint. PS: There's a tiny, very lumpy and bumpy parking lot in the back that is very tricky to maneuver back out of. As the third-largest producer of tomatoes in the entire country, this key pizza-making ingredient not only sets New Jersey's classic 'tomato pies' apart from any ordinary pizza. This 10,000-square-foot, two-story establishment with a neon-lit sign on Glenwood Ave in Bloomfield asks, "Just another pizzeria?" They also house a 20-seat speakeasy that's open Thursday through Saturday called the Rab.bit Hole that can be found upstairs behind a hidden entrance. Opened in 2020, Blue Steel Pizza Company is the answer and should become obvious after looking at the menu. A reservation was easily made via Resy. My partner and I were greeted at the host station and got a regular table in the 1st-floor dining room by the pizza oven in the middle. The vibe was modern and industrial. Patrons had to use their phone flashlights to read the menu as the lighting was pretty dim. They are known for their Detroit-style pizza--a pie baked in a rectangular, traditionally blue-steel pan, the kind once used by autoworkers. It's made with a blend of mozzarella cheese and traditional Wisconsin brick cheese that melts down the side of the pie, making for a burnt, gooey, cheesy crust. It's cold-fermented for three days and is closer to sourdough. It has real flavor and an airier texture. It's like a lighter version of a Sicilian with a buttery crust. As a starter, we decided on the Chopped Salad. For our main entrée, we opted for the Jersey Tomato Pizza Pie. Portions run big enough for sharing, and we downed them with the 1911 Cider. The pizza crust was light, airy, and crispy with the right amount of fresh ingredients, making the ensemble tastefully delicious. The staff was attentive, friendly, and accommodating, and our server was Adam. The price was comparable to the area. We had a wonderful experience and would recommend this place.

I know it sort of changed management to a lovely guy whose name I don't remember who when he first took over came out with samples of delicious specialty pizza and warmly greeted everyone. I placed an order for delivery two days ago. The pizza was good as usual but the lentil soup was really salty, no exaggeration enough to overpower any taste of lentils - I added two cups of water and threw in some ditalini, added garlic, and it was still salty. I'm not sure why that would happen but here's a full proof way to make good lentil soup: per pound of dry lentils, first sautee a chopped medium onion, chopped large stalk of celery and a large or two medium size carrots, two cloves of chopped garlic in some olive oil, then add the lentils, and around 3-4 inches of water above the line of lentils and allow to simmer, don't add salt until it's closer to the lentils being cooked. People with high blood pressure or pregnant cannot handle the amount of salt that was added. It was worse than canned soup. I have ordered it before, last time was around 4 years ago and it was fine. Of course, it may just be an error or a new person making the soup. I have thought that since the change in management, maybe a seasoned Italian woman cook in the kitchen might be a good addition to at least train the staff. I get the impression that the staff are more pizza makers than cooks. I ordered an artichoke not long ago that tasted good but was not fully cooked, my friend ordered lasagne that was covered in mozzarella and was probably over microwaved or however it is heated, and was like paste. This isn't intended to be rude but to point out that for the most part I like your food but feel like certain things can use more care.
