The shop is very simple, kind of rural and run down, doesn't have a ton of selection, but we love the fresh corn tortillas they carry here. Ingredients are simply corn and lime - no fillers or preservatives & they're even made in LaBelle. Of course there are plenty of other foods to go along with it, Mexican pastries and frozen fruit pops. We also buy our masa for tamales here. Prices r a little higher than I would have expected. Fresh produce selection is limited and doesn't often look fresh. There is a prepared hot food area for take away as well, which we haven't tried, but the gals who work that area r extremely nice and helpful. A bus of farm workers often stops here so that's the only time we've had to wait in line. Sometimes there's also a fruit/agua fresca truck outside where u can get a drink. Arnold's typically sells grass/grain fed beef as that's what most people seem to prefer, but they have graciously brought in 100% grass fed/finished beef for us and some other customers with their Iowa beef shipment and it's been delicious! Much better than other grass fed/finished halves we've purchased from other farms & the family actually prefers eating in with our Arnold's steaks rather than dining out. Arnold's handles the entire process from dispatch to packaging. For 1/2 cows they cut and package based on our preferences and even agreed to do a 21 day hang time to further tenderize the meat. Pricing was high, but it was worth enjoying the meat and the way it's cut/packaged. The store is very simple - it's a small shop behind their home in Fort Denaud (between Alva & Labelle). Make sure to check their hours before going and realize they get really busy during 4H/fair time.

The shop is located on a quiet street right next to the Forrey Grill, a restaurant we like very much. There are tables outside the shop which is delightfully welcoming. As you walk in you might wonder if you were in Alice in Wonderland! Adorably furnished with comfy couches, tables and high tops. The menu is large along with all kinds of coffees and teas. There is also ice cream and home baked goods. We sat down and our server brought me a large tall cold unsweetened ice tea with lemon. David had a mocha frappe topped with whipped cream! He also ordered the spicy bean and sausage soup. I opted for a cup of broccoli cheese soup and a chicken salad sandwich on sourdough bread. The food was super delish. The chicken salad with lettuce and tomato was one of the best I've had in a long time. Mine also came with a fresh baked macadamia nut cookie!
