Very cute, country coffee shop. Came in for a latte on out travels to Tampa! They have an assortment of lunch and breakfast items. We got the ham and cheese croissant and 2 lattes. The latte was the perfect temperature and tasted amazing!! Very cute decor all over the shop and some of it is for sale. The ham and cheese croissant was very tasty and bigger than what I thought it would be. Happy to have found this place and hope to stop in again soon. read more

In a town that is otherwise is all about fast food, this is like manna from heaven - awesome coffee, great sandwiches (breakfast or lunch) and soups, yummy baked goods - and all served by some of the nicest people ever. They have their own coffee blend, cafe d'orleans, that tastes like a latte with cinnamon and vanilla. It's better than espresso because no aftertaste. And you can't beat the price. It was under 3 dollars for coffee and about 5 for chicken salad sandwich served with fruit. It took a while for order but they were pretty crowded and seemed to have a big takeout business so maybe that's it. I wish we had a place like this in Tampa! read more

Went with my Mom and Aunties when visiting after reading reviews, and I wasn't disappointed by anything. I had an AWESOME chicken salad, so did my Mom. One Auntie had a fried bologna sandwich, and it was served without any condiments, which is the only reason I'm taking a star off because she had to ask for those. The other Auntie had breakfast of eggs over medium, biscuit and sausage. They do not have pancakes or waffles, so they do not have syrup, which my Auntie asked for but settled for honey instead. The Columbian coffee was GOOD but I was sad we didn't get refills. My Mom had water, which she said tasted slightly funny to her, but it's to be expected in a place far from home. Common Grounds was a welcome find when I got stuck on a bad road trip and ended up stranded in Clewiston for a couple of days while my car was resurrected from the dead. Caffeine seems to make things a little better and every morning when I got up and found out I was delayed again I would catch a ride over here and keep from going into caffeine withdrawal. The staff is very friendly, and the decor makes you feel very comfortable. This is a pleasant morning stop, and one I recall with a smile. I don't live in Clewiston, but whenever I drive through, I make sure I stop in at Common Grounds, a cozy country kitchen with made to order yummy home cooked meals. Yesterday on my drive to North Florida, I stopped in for lunch and had their made fresh daily white chicken salad on a toasted croissant with a homemade ultra delicious parsnips, rutebaga, white potato and white onion soup. Yum! On my drive back through on my way home, I stopped in for a late breakfast and had a fresh made to order ham, sweiss, tomato and onion omelet with Texas toast and their delicious brewed coffee. The prices are very reasonable and service is always warm, friendly and with a smile. They have a little country store as well and today, while at home, I am enjoying toast and berry jam that I purchased at the store. Stop in at Common Grounds if you are ever in Clewiston, Florida.
