I arrived at 12:15 and was checked in. I never got to my room till 12:45 then waited for another 10 min till my actual message started. My time of finish should have been 3:00. They said I was done at 2:45. My shower and body scrub was maybe 15 minutes total and felt rushed. With my late start and the amount times they left room and I waited, My done time should have been closer to 3:30. This is not the first time this has happened to me and I have read its something that seems to happen a lot. Also, when your done they expect a tip. A lady that finished up while I was waiting got the massage as a gift and they insissted on a tip from her. Tips are not required and this was one issue I had in my first visit. 2/28/26 - Been going for a few times now and this last time I was not happy with the service. First, I chose Therapist #2 from their drop down menu seeing they don't list the names which they really need too, but now I know who they are. I had already tried them all but #2 so I chose her. However, when I got there I got #1, the one I usually have, who really is a nice lady and I like her, but I was set on trying someone new. So that was the first disappointment. The next was during my entire massage 2 things kept happening which prevented me from really relaxing and getting into the massage. One, the therapist's phone just kept buzzing in her pants like every 5 minutes and it was pretty noticeable. Second, it seemed that my therapist was also the desk clerk, so every time someone came in, she had to go out front so again it was kind of hard to relax when she was stopping to tend to someone else. My opinion, If she needed to take care of the front, then she should not have been doing any massages. So another issue I had was, I always do a 2 hour massage. This time, seeing I got a discount for being a member, I decided to try a table shower that is supposed to be 15 minutes long. So, my entire time there should have been 2 hours and 15 minutes. I got less than 2 hours if you count the time that she was stopping to tend to the front office. So as far as I am concerned, I did not get my money's worth. This is strike number 2, not sure I am going back. I noticed another massage parlor down the street from here I may try now. It's too bad seeing I liked this location and the ladies and girls are really nice and they do, do a good job. And I am changing my review from a 3 star to a 5 star. This last visit has very much improved since my first visit. Anna was amazing. She listened to my concerns and request and fulfilled them completely. I can not wait till my next visit with her. 5/25 So I just recently had a massage at the Irmo location. I was going to give a 4 or 5 star rating during my massage, but they had some technical issues with the speaker in the room kept loosing connection with blue tooth and kept trying to fix that, taking time from my massage. I finally had to say I was good with no music. The therapist was really good with the massage and I had planned on still giving at least a 4 star rating until It was time to give a tip. First, I had 2 hour Swedish massage which was $140 with tax, so 20% of that is about $30. On their website it states "Tips can be paid via Cash, Zelle, Venmo, Paypal, or Credit Card. If the service you received meets your expectations, please consider tipping 15% to 30%". So I went to pay for the tip with my Credit Card and was doing $25 on the $140. They then brought my attention to a sign that they have on the counter that basses' tips per hour. So basically, they wanted me to double my tip. Well, when I tip in restaurants its based of the price of the meal. Then they kept telling me in cash was better because of the CC fee which I had no issue with and told them that. But the fact they seemed to try to get me to tip by the hour and talking about paying that in cash (which I never carry) just put a sour taste in my mouth. Which is a shame because I really did like this place and really enjoyed my massage. Now, I think they need to post that sign on their website, so people know in advance what they are expecting in tips and that they rather get their tips in cash. It just makes me feel very uncomfortable when I am not aware of something. I also find it a little annoying that you cannot select a masseuse by name on the website.

The appointment notifications were being sent directly to him via text and email. I had NO CLUE of his appointment date and time. Nor did I know that he missed his appointment. I found out about his appointment and subsequent no-show from an email I received from Shallon informing me she cancelled MY PERSONAL appointment because my son missed his appointment. Trust me, had I known he had an appointment he would not have missed it. She sends me this passive aggressive email berating ME for my adult son missing his appointment alluding that it was my responsibility to let her know and apologize to her for him missing the appointment. I HAD NO CLUE!!! She has my phone number, she could have called me to let me know what happened. I would have happily paid for the missed appointment. I have been a responsible client, have always booked expensive appointments and have tipped her very well, even bought different oil concoctions she's sold in her shop. Along with her canceling my appointment without her contacting me directly, she goes and pettily removes me from business IG page like I wronged her somehow. In my mind a Massage Envy is a Massage Envy. They are all about the same. The design space is the same, the rooms are the same, the sheets and blankets are the same, and the music is the same. This ME is clean. They have spaces for people to wait. All-in-all I would say my experience has been great. I think ME is priced a little high, but they do oversee a number of therapists as a franchise.

The salon itself is beautiful. I was a little confused when I walked in and there was no receptionist. However, after watching people come in and out for a few minutes, I decided that the lack of a receptionist really worked well there. It felt more like clients were walking into someone's living room rather than a hair salon. The artwork was gorgeous, if you're into that sort of thing, and the location is perfect for anyone who lives or works in Columbia. Overall, a very pleasant experience.
