Dr. Hakimjavadi and his wife are the best dentist office in Walnut Creek hands down. I chipped my tooth on accident devouring a nectarine (yes I bit the seed). I felt something different in my mouth and when I looked in the mirror I was mortified. I needed this fixed as soon as possible. Every dentist I called in my area (San Jose) didn't have openings until days later. I was at a work event in Oakland and was googling nearest dentists near me and Dr. Hakimjavadi popped up. I called them immediately and Jenny the front desk staff accommodated me right away. I told her I could be at her office in 20 mins. I came during their lunch time and they got to work immediately. I was on my hour lunch break and they had me in and out of that clinic so fast I almost cried. I work with patients and for 12 full hours and felt so insecure talking to anyone. I was nervous about using a new dentist, but Dr HakimJavadi came highly recommended and I'm pleased to say that he's worth the hype! He and his staff are friendly and kind. I felt at ease and not at all stressed about the visit. He was inquisitive and had neat technology to look at the health of my gums and teeth. In addition to routine cleaning, I also needed to have some composite filled into my implant. This is something I've had done many times before, but when he had finished and he used his little camera stick to take a photo of what he'd done, I was amazed at how much artistry he put into making sure it looked as much like a normal tooth as possible. Additionally I had him put some bonding on a sensitive tooth, and he was so gentle I wasn't bothered at all. Moreover, he explained everything he noticed in my X-rays and cleaning. It's been a couple weeks since I went in for cleaning and X-rays. I don't know where to start with the nightmare story. The x-ray process was a joke, receptionist was on phone while dealing with taking x-rays and clearly didn't seem happy. Dr had to finish some X-rays because the receptionist couldn't figure it out after taking multiple of the same tooth. And the device I bit on was sharp so had wounds in my mouth. Next up- cleaning- Dr. drilled some of my teeth then attempted to clean some parts of some teeth-WOW!! Ran toothpaste across some and missed more than half of my teeth . Then he was stabbing/picking at 2 cavities (he claimed) and other teeth. He wanted me to come back for multiple procedures. Now- my teeth are so sensitive I can barely drink water without having pain and eating hurts. I didn't have a single problem before going there, it was just a check u. I almost left within the first few minutes of the process starting and now realized I should have. Update- doctor called and brag about his accomplishments while asking me why I did this.. I tried speaking multiple times and he cut me off every time. He repeated told me he doesn't understand and again bragged of himself, but he never listened. If he would have listened or read the review he would understand. And if there was a legitimate reason as to why he didn't attend to my needs properly, I would have adjusted this review. Instead- he disregarded me completely. Now- my insurance has been charged for cleaning and visit so I have to go elsewhere and pay out of pocket. I will try to fight this with my insurance Another update: new dentist said I don't have any cavities! Which means this doctor lied to me. I can only assume he was trying to make extra money off me, and ruin my teeth! I'm so glad Yelp exists for reasons like this! I don't have a clue why others have posted positive reviews. I'm so easy going and always positive, but I'm honest and highly disappointed with this dentist. "Do you ever brush your teeth" where the words he repeatedly told me and he made me feel awful. Filled a simple cavity and the pain persisted. When I went back for other procedures they had said I needed they revoked my appt and said they don't take my insurance anymore. Basically he half assed my fill because I had Medi-Cal Dental... I went back and was still turned away Greed is a special kind of evil in medical staff. I could understand if they had originally told me that they don't take new patients with my insurance, but to do the service as a half attempt is really messed up and disgusting. read more

Dr. Hakim Javadi is the greatest dentist my family ever had. He is very well knowledgeable and has many years of expertise. He pays lots of attention to your gum, and teeth health. It is hard to find caring dentist that love what they do, and they treat every single tooth as a living organ in your body. Dr. Javadi is one of the kinds that treat every single one of your teeth as a living organ. He knows the science and art of dentistry while he emphasis on prevention. I share with you some experience we had with Dr. Javadi to help you have a better understanding about his personality and practice. Example 1: During the lockdown one of my wife's teeth cracked. Apparently, the tooth was restored and filled by another dentist few years ago. After the lockdown ended, we went to Dr. Hakim. The x-ray and examination revealed that one of the roots is completely rotten, but the other root per X-ray revealed a possibility of 60% change for root canal. Anyway Dr. Hakim started drilling the first half of the tooth, and he removed the rotten nerve. It was kind of amazing to see the nerve of a tooth in person. Next he spent extra twenty or thirty minutes and slowly drilled near the second root and tried to save it. It was very nice of him to spend extra time trying to save the other root as most dentist do not care at this point and they go with the x-ray findings. He drilled very precisely, accurately and gently near the second root to preserve it, but unfortunately he was not able to save the root, and he end up removing it. During the entire time he was drilling the tooth, he was making sure the reminder of the tooth does not break as 80% of the tooth was rotten and damaged. He was able to save the reminders of my wife tooth. Thankfully because of Dr. Hakim's skills and expertise, no implant was needed. Please see attached images for your reference. First image represent the reminder of tooth after root canal, and second image represent the tooth after filling was completed. As you can tell the tooth looks every nice and better looking than before the root canal. Example 2: I had gum erosion due to genetic factor, and wrong practice of brushing and flossing my teeth. I had been to other dentists in my life, but none was able to help me stop my gum erosion until I become his patient. He showed me the proper way to brush my teeth, and the right kind of tooth paste and tooth brush I need to use. Also, Dr. Hakim advised me to brush my teeth for minimum of 5 minutes and massaging my gum with Vitamin A and E to increase blood circulation in my gum. As the result of following his recommendation after twenty some years my gum started to recover. I really thank him for showing me and working with me to get the correct habit of brushing my teeth and gum to prevent me from doing a surgical procedure in the future. read more

I had a really good experience here. I was visiting the area and just needed a teeth cleaning, and the Dr. treated me like a long-time patient. He was very kind and thorough. He welcomed all my questions about the x-rays of my teeth. The space was also very clean. The only reason this is 4 stars and not 5 is the receptionist was not friendly. She seemed rather bothered by me and it was very uncomfortable. The Dr. saved the day with his kindness, I really appreciated his care.
