Just some context here - this office does not have a voicemail or messaging service. So in case you need to reach the dr or reschedule, unless someone picks up, you cannot. We tried to call 4 times to reschedule a dr appointment 3 days ahead of the appointmentand the office did not pick up. The day of the dr appointment, they call us and tell us they are charging us $75 fee. I politely suggested they need a phone messaging service and Ken yelled at me and said we need to find a new doctor then that has this service. Ken, sir, this is 2026. All doctors have some way to communicate with their patients and not through one person who does not pick up the phone. The audacity to charge us when it is their lack of customer service and then interrupt and yell at me when I was actually very nicely suggesting a message service. Incredibly rude, avoid this doctor office at all measures. They do not care about their patients.

He listens and EXPLAINS where the catch is, which my two previous doctors have not done so you actually understand what is going on with you and whether you can do something about it or not. It is very frustrated for people with thyroid treatments when you numbers look great and you feel crapy and there is not much you can do and if your doctor fails to explain what options are out there and what are their pros and cons you are left wondering if your doctor cares or knows about your condition. While I found Dr. Rubin to be fairly knowledgeable, both of my appointments felt rushed and her bedside manner was cold. During my second appointment, as we were discussing my symptoms, she flatly told me I should get tested for Multiple Sclerosis. She gave no further explanation, and her tone and harshness in sharing such an upsetting possible diagnosis was extremely traumatic. I left the office and cried. During my second appointment, she had recommended that I get an L5-S1 nerve block. I made the mistake of not getting a referral written down (she gave me a doctor's name and never block site on a sticky note). Since I started a new job, I was not able to schedule this nerve block until about 8 months later. I then found out that the doctor she referred me to required a referral form. I called Dr. Rubin's office to have one sent (presumably should be in my file); the receptionist consulted with Dr. Rubin and said she would not send it without having a phone conversation ($210) or additional office visit (even more $). Take in mind she does not accept insurance; this is all out of pocket. When I explained I was not financially able to do so, that literally nothing had changed with my symptoms, and that the delay was due to me starting a new job - the receptionist checked with Dr. Rubin again and she would not budge. If this is a concern for my "medical safety", a $210 billable 15-minute phone call is not a diagnostic tool and would not give her any additional information other than what I provided to the receptionist - which is that none of my symptoms had changed. I understand that time has passed, but demanding more money for a referral form that should already be in my file is absolutely ridiculous. At this point, I have spent close to one thousand dollars at IntimMedicine and have gotten 20-25 minutes total of face-time with Dr. Rubin. It honestly feels like a cash-grab. Ppl like myself are desperate to see a good specialist and find better treatments for chronic pain. At this point, I feel that the practice is predatory - they take advantage of ppl's desperation and will not accommodate you at all. I don't care how good you are at what you do, it is an absolute insult to treat ppl this way who seek your help.

I love the fact that she takes the time to get to know you, your history, and actually offer sound professional medical advice, recommendations, and suggestions in formulating an individualized plan that will work for you. Dr. Dua was so thorough, and she also answered all of my questions and eased any worries that I had - I felt comfortable with her right away. She is just so wonderful - I can't gush about her enough! Dr. Dua and her team offers consultation and comprehensive care for pituitary disorders, thyroid disorders, diabetes, adrenal disorders, calcium metabolism osteoporosis, and other endocrine disorders. They are affiliated with VHC and INOVA - Fairfax. Her nursing staff are also friendly, and the office is clean. I understand that he is an award winning fertility doctor, however, his customer service is not award winning. Today, was the last time that he will ever see me in his office and have the opportunity to deliver insensitive service. When I visited today, I expressed my concern that whenever he takes cultures or does my pap smear, that I never hear from him or his office on my results. I pay for the exam, so I expect to know the outcome of my results. His response "you have to call for your results" and I then let him know that he never informed me of this policy. I told him that I did call because I was concerned about the symptoms that I was experiencing and he did not return my call. I explained that my internist always calls or send my results via US mail. He seemed offended that I had a concern regarding his lack of communication about my reproductive/vaginal health and that I asked to know the results of cultures. Well...I should have waited until the end of my exam before expressing my concerns, because he took his frustration out on me during my exam. He began my exam by trying to shove the instrument (without KY) into me in which I vocally expressed my discomfort by saying "ouch that hurts". After my 3rd "ouch that hurts" and my voice became louder in case he didn't hear me saying "ouch" the first 2 times, he said to me maybe I should use KY jelly to help it go in easier. I'm thinking, you've got to be kidding me! That didn't occur to you at first before beginning the exam? I felt like he was trying to forceable rape me with the instrument. After the exam was over and I went to the bathroom, there were traces of blood as I wiped myself. I hardly find this type of treatment acceptable and his practices are barbaric. I know Yelp has filters, but please, for the women who want and need to know, allow them to see for themselves my review and others who have had similar experiences. We are not making this stuff up! Having a sensitive ObGyn who respects your right to know your results and who is gentle with your parts is essential when dealing with our reproductive health.

But it's too bad I can't make an appointment because the telephone system doesn't work. Every time I try to call I get nowhere, so I'm not able to make appointments by using the telephone. When I finally after 45 minutes reached a human, I was connected to the Dr.Niworth. I had to talk to him because I had a negative reaction to a medicine. In order to make an appointment, he forwarded my phone call to the front desk. When I asked why they had not been answering their phones I was told the phone never rang here. When I get to talk to people, everything works like a charm but the phone system is horrendous. It's like something out of the middle ages. I hope they read this and can fix it.
