I've taken my car to several detailing places in and around Austin and I have never been anywhere near impressed in the least bit. I decided to give Austin Auto interiors a try because of a Groupon deal that seemed to good to be true. The only negative I have is that once I called to setup an appointment it was about a month to fit me in. The entire experience with them was great, super courteous, very friendly, and they never tried to push me on other services. I dropped my car off and they had absolutely no problem keeping it overnight when I couldn't get there in time to pick it up once it was completed. The car itself looked nearly brand new after the detailing. I was absolutely blown away at the attention to detail and overall quality of the service. I had the interior/exterior done as well as the headlight treatment and it was just amazing. I can not recommend their service enough. I will absolutely be going to them for anytime my car needs detailing. read more

My experience was not as positive as others have experienced. I'm restoring an 02' BMW 325 I. Had the headliner replaced by them. NOT..t the greatest job. Left spots on the fabric. Also used a thicker fabric which means seal isn't as efficient. The moon roof was not replaced correctly, I had to drive 20 miles back to them to have it done right. The grip on the roof cover was shattered and they super glued it back together, looks shoddy. He is rather blaze about it when I talk to him about it..It's been 6 weeks and still no replacement, I feel they haven't even tried to find the part. It may be minor to them... but not to me! $600 + several trips back for adjustments later..... I'm.. NOT HAPPY... and not so sure I'd recommend anyone to visit them. I'm hoping they will make things right, that I may give them a good review. read more

Beware!!!! The owner is very rude. I went there with a Groupon and he tried selling me a higher detail package which I was not interested in. When the job was done, I noticed a broken hand rest and some remaining dirt on the wheels. When I pointed out about the broken hand rest, he straight away denied it and asked me to go complain to Groupon. When asked about the remaining dirt, he was referring to our conversation about a higher detail package. The dirt on wheels would have gone with a simple gas station car wash. Why spend $200 when a $10 car wash can accomplish better ? Moreover the owner's rude attitude is not worth going to this business. read more

Very disappointed in the quality of work but even more disappointed they didn't stand by their warranty. Austin Interior did some stitching on the rear seat of my truck. When we picked up the truck the work was not completed and were told they ran out of thread and to bring it back. Due to time and distance we couldn't immediately return to have the work redone. During the time the stitching came apart. When I finally returned and explained what happen, BM said "we never run out of thread". I could tell he was reluctant to fix it. He went on to said that the stitching came apart due to spillage, possibly battery acid, and he wouldn't warranty the work. Interesting that the, alleged, battery acid only affected the stitching and nothing else. BM was nice enough to give me a quote to repair the seat, roughly $400. Then he tried to up sell me on leather. Here's a really SAD part - when I asked for a copy of their warranty, he ushered me out of their store. We made the fatal mistake of taking their word they would stand by their work. read more

I'm in the process of selling my 2007 Ford Mustang so that I can purchase a mini van for my young growing family...Three kids and a wife. I brought my car to Bobby and his team and they had my Mustang looking brand new. I had them repair the interior leather on the driver seat, replaced the center console, and replaced the door panel inserts. I also had them detail the interior and exterior of my car which included the engine. I was totally blown away by the quality of work of Austin Interiors. My Mustang looks brand! I was so pleased with the professionalism and there fair pricing. I will use them again once I purchase my mini van. read more

It took me over a month to schedule my Groupon because there "were so busy." So fine, I scheduled it 5 weeks out and they told me to be prepared to wait 5-6 hours depending on the condition of the car. Of course I plan and basically make it happen. Once I arrived it took them 45 minutes and I got my car back. They told me they were very nice and got several employees to work on it at the same time so I wouldn't have to wait. Well the car was 100% untouched on the outside which I understand since it was an "interior detail." The interior looked like it was vacuumed and I could still see some of my dogs fur. It looked like they scraped the leather seats down and the car seriously looked worse than when I brought it in. It felt as if they really don't want to waste time on Groupon customers and the owner was trying to sell me on additional services. I didn't realize how crappy the service was and what a waste of a day planning this out was for me until I left. My girlfriend saw the car and completely agreed with me. I usually don't write negative reviews but I feel it's the fair thing to do to fellow Yelpers. read more

Second review for Austin Interiors. I was so impressed with the services done on my Ford F150 that I took my 1993 Jeep Wrangler there for a complete interior/ exterior detailing to sell it. When I picked up the Jeep, I was blown away by how good a job they did. I regretted having to sell it because it looked brand new. brought in the van I inherited when dad passed. It had sap from trees it was parked under. It had mildew from being in a damp area. It was full of dog hair and dirt. Just a mess basically. I had mice take up nest in my Honda Civic's cabin air filter and unfortunately died in there. The stench was horrific. Once I got the ventilation system cleaned, the service advisor told me to get it detailed with odor removal. I contacted Austin Interiors and not only did they have experience with cleaning up after rodent incidents like these, they had other recent customers with the same issue! (something I did not find from other detailers in the Austin area) Ryan was extremely helpful in explaining the situation and what we'd need to do to start of with and what the next steps should be. He made sure there were no other mice in the vehicle using their prior experience with finding them, then did an interior detail and ran ozone through the car to remove any odors. So far the smell is gone and the car is much more driveable again! I really appreciate their service, as it made me love my car again! read more

The owner, Mr. Martin, was incredibly rude to me. He seemed angry and bothered that I asked for a quote on a minor headliner repair. He tried to upsell me to the point of absurdity, then went off on why I drive a German car and not an American make...Last time I checked, it is still, mostly, a free country. His misogynist and superior attitude will forever keep me out of the place. Ladies, keep driving. Even if his staff does good work, his lack of customer service skills and basic people skills was extraordinary. That is one unhappy dude!! If I had to thumbtack the headliner up, would do so rather than walk into this shop again. Did I mention I waited nearly 10 minutes for someone to come out from the back? Going with Rags to Riches instead. They are very nice, quite reasonable and faster. They are even giving me a ride home! read more

Austin Interiors worked a complete miracle with my car, and they will have all of my detailing and interior repair business going forward. By way of background, let me explain that I purchased my dream car in late October. One week later, I received 5lbs of Aoudad meat while visiting my brother in law, who is an avid hunter. I was in a mad scramble as I was preparing to go out of town on a business trip, and I stupidly left that meat sitting behind the driver's seat for 5 days. When I returned, the smell inside the car was the most horrible that I have ever encountered. I tried several cleanup methods with varying success, but the interior was still uninhabitable. After reading several reviews, I gave Austin Interiors a call, and they have dealt with this exact situation before. The team over there is incredibly friendly, and when you walk into their shop you can see that they take immense pride in their work. The car was ready ahead of schedule, and 2 days later they had done the impossible...the smell was gone, and several weeks and one huge road trip later it has not returned. In fact, the new car smell has returned, and I once again look forward to driving my car every day. Additionally, since I went with the Platinum Package, the exterior looked better than the day I drove the car off the lot. They gave it a full clay bar treatment, wax, and paint sealant. They even showed me some minor flaws that were present after manufacture...they get THAT granular. If you need any interior work done, or just want a world-class detailing, my advice is to give Austin interiors a call. read more

Damaged the paint on the hood when they buffed it and claimed it was already there (it wasn't). They didn't touch up two scratches on a fender (I paid for that), and the floor mats were missing. When they found them they just threw them in the backseat without putting them where they belonged. Never again!! read more

My 2004 Passat headlights were getting cloudy so I bought a do-it-yourself headlight lens polishing kit.If anything, I made them worse! Austin Auto Interiors polished them back to like new. They also repaired a panel on my Toyota Tundra seat. Good as new! read more

We purchased 2 groupon deals (interior & exterior package) for each of our cars and upgraded for an additional $70/each deal for their "premium detail". Our first visit we were pretty satisfied---they had missed a few spots on the windows (see Reba's review about the greasy residue, so we're not alone with this being an issue) inside and did not vacuum the headliner...but overall, the car looked great. However when we took our 2nd car in, it's the LAST time we'll be using them!! They called to tell us our car was ready, at a time earlier than we had expected it based on our first visit and our first car being smaller than our 2nd one, but we drove over (1/2 hour) to pick it up, only to find upon opening the doors, although they said was done, clearly it had been rushed. The inside door frames had not been wiped out, they were grey with dirt, plainly visible, not something like a "minor" spot overlooked, rather the whole door frame on both the front and back passenger side. We also noticed as we popped the trunk, that the trunk area looked the same. So without looking at it any further, we brought it to their attention. They said they'd take it back in and "take care of it". We had plans for dinner and couldn't wait for them to fix it, so we just asked if we could leave our car overnight, to be picked up the next day, to which they said no problem. So, the next day, after leaving our car there again for a full day, we went to pick it up and we expected it to be pristine. After all, knowing we found unfinished areas when glancing quickly at our car....wouldn't one make sure it was "done" this time to ensure client satisfaction?! However, again we were disappointed! Sure, the door frames were clean, the trunk area was so-so but the rims had grease/dirt on them! Touching one rim my fingers were black....needing soap/water to wash my fingers off, not just a little smudge overlooked. No, we didn't mention it the first time, but Hello? Where is quality control or their inspection process? Why should we have to inspect the car and tell them what they forgot to do?! This time we waited while they cleaned up the rims and then they asked us if there was "anything else". We did not bother to check out the car anymore, as our patience level had ran out. There was NO offer to compensate us for the dissatisfaction or inconvenience (running over there twice, both times to find a car that wasn't clean) or any true apology. Had they been concerned about customer satisfaction, they easily could have thrown in the premium upgrade ($70) for free, especially since we told them when we brought in our 2nd car about our minor dissatisfaction with our first (not vacuuming the headliner). But not a peep from them about wanting to make things right. Sorry but when you are charging $295 for a "premium detail - interior and exterior", one expects "premium" outcome. (Not to mention, the windows on the inside on our 2nd vehicle had smudges/smears too that were overlooked, just like our first car which we noticed as we drove away.) We will not be using their service again. Yes, the seats look wonderful and the engine compartment is clean but we've used other car wash places (Arbor Car Wash on Jollyville for instance) paid 1/4 of the price for all but the engine compartment cleaning and had the same or better results. We realize everyone has bad days, mistakes happen etc., the simple gesture of compensating us for our troubles, would have been HUGE and gone a long way....sorry Austin Interiors....you lost 2 customers and we will be telling our friends to steer clear too. read more

Just picked up my 2005 Toyota Solara convertible from Austin Auto Interiors yesterday and couldn't be happier! The dash had cracked from the hot Texas sun and possibly some cleaning solutions that should not be used. I didn't think it could be repaired but they made it look like new. It was ready on time and at the price they quoted. They also removed scratches from the exterior and removed the haze over the headlights. They restored the floor mats and rejuvenated the seats. It's like I have a new car. I will always take my car to them for future work. read more

They are professional, very organized and offer great customer service. They may be expensive for some people but what you pay is what you get. Some detail shops are fast but with poor quality. They went ABOVE AND BEYOND my expectations. It is rare to see a business that still takes pride in their work, and does it with integrity. They did a complete interior detail on my Toyota Prius. They gave me a very fair price. The quality of work was superior and the price was very reasonable. They went the extra mile to make it perfect. The price was extremely reasonable and quality was top notch for sure. The staff is professional and go far out of their way to be helpful. They coordinate very well, communicate efficiently and are timely with their customers. Their work is second to none in Austin and they work very hard for it. The owner was very nice and she gave me a deep discount. I would recommend them to everyone! They also sell the best quality WeatherTech Digital fit floor liners. I always have WeatherTech Digital floor Liners / Floor mat from WeatherTech in my all cars. They are expensive but will preserve the car interior well. read more

I own an 18 year old Boxster that is in fantastic shape, except for the leather seats. Beyond the years of use and regular wear and tear, I had them reconditioned 2 years ago by 'Brand X', only to see them deteriorate even further and faster. Brand X's work ended up making the seats look worse over time than before their efforts. I took the car to AI and had Chris review their condition, and after some encouraging discussion brought the car back on Tuesday. I picked the car up today, and the seats look fantastic!! The color match and the leather reconditioning look like brand new leather, and at a very reasonable price for excellent results. I'm sure that the seats will eventually have to be reupholstered, but for the foreseeable future, they will look terrific. Run, don't walk, to AI if you need any type of interior leather upholstery work on your car. (I'll post before and after photos tomorrow.) read more

Not into details. Sour smell and dirty windows. Made more work for me. Never again. I had two cars detailed there after purchasing a groupon. So glad we didn't pay full price. My windows look worse then they did when we took the cars in! Took the first car back and they politely agreed to redo them. Some of them were still dirty after that. Got second SUV back and the same problem. The back window looked like it was wiped with a dirty towel. Just a smeared mess. There was a spill on the dash that they didn't clean either. I guess they just wiped over the dash and dusted it. I followed the instructions about leaving the windows down but my car smells sour now. read more

Bobby and his team did and OUTSTANDING job on the car--it looks brand new! I am very detail-oriented and sometimes difficult to please, but this place ROCKS! The interior detail was done perfectly, with every nook & cranny of the vehicle is now spotless. They managed to get every single dog hair out of the interior of this car, and you can't believe the difference (white dogs with black interior)! The leather seats were cleaned and treated, and every crumb or piece of dirt was cleaned from every seam. The exterior of the car now has a show-room new finish, and the headlights look like new. I took my white Nissan Altima in last month for a Premium Package deal that I purchased at a school fundraiser and I was completely satisfied with the work from this auto detail shop. I had to drop off my car the night before and they stored it in their garage overnight. They took almost all day with my car ... but I tell you what ... the results showed! I don't have leather seats, so the upholstery needed some real help after four years of abuse by my family of four (two messy, young children included). At pick, up my car interior was like back to new! They even got a gum stain out from the back of the driver's seat, and a dark cola stain out of the carpet in the backseat. One of my front headlights was foggy and they took care of that too and it looks almost back to new as well. The exterior of the car looked great as well - great polish job on paint and tire detail as well. Anything they found in the car (they even detail the glove box!) they package in a plastic bad and leave in the trunk for you. I highly recommend this place if you want a REAL detail job.
