I was drawn to the Ezair gallery by the playful vivid colors and shapes I noticed through the gallery window, one evening walking on Lexington Street in Manhattan.  I thought, "what a spectacle" and walked inside.  "I create vibrant and sensuous sculpture that is a manifestation of my passion for music," Rick begins his artist statement. Rick is not a traditional sculptor. His artistic vision is exploratory with plexiglass, photography, or painting. This versatility of the medium allows Rick to balance his mastery of shape and contour with color and iconography. These are some of the exhibitions that were formerly on display: Mantua Nangala & Yukultji Napangati: The artists' abstract works of art represent a description of the the' homeland and indigenous life. The appearance of these portraits kind of reminds me of a persian rug, but it's still pretty neat. Matthew Krishanu: Falling Into Place: The setting of these paintings is in South Asia. There is a variety of banyan trees and religious figures. Jaiik Lee: Still In Flux: The vessels are painted in a variety of porcelain colors. The physical appearance of these jars are identical to hot air balloons and the vessel at Hudson Yards. Soull & Dynasty Ogun: KODE: Yes I Do: As you enter this parlor, immerse yourself in a unique clothing line, furniture, and a table aligned with glittering jewelry. Each exhibit is assigned a QR code. Simply scan the code to acquire more information about these exhibitions. They give you a pair of socks to go into the bead pit, string to make a beaded necklace, a brochure of the beads and a bucket to hold your beads. Each bead is $1. There are lots and lots of beads. Never ending. Difficult to find the bottom. There are different colored ones as well. People are very kind and was helping each other out if someone was looking for something specific. There is a set of stairs to lead up to some art work above. Basically pictures of what was in the bead pit below. The back of the exhibit is the cashier. It was a good experience. The space is very nice for hosting events.

6/7/26: The Edward Hopper House is located at 82 N. Broadway, Nyack, New York. He grew up in this…read moresmall home. We were greeted by a very nice young lady named Sierra upon entering. She gave us a brief description of the home. There was an older woman speaking with Sierra. Overhearing their discussion, this woman appeared to some connections with the museum. However, she couldn't even bother to smile or say hello to us. I could on..... We then went into an adjoining room and saw a video about the artist's life. Edward sketched and painted maritime and industrial aged scenes. Also, he sketched pictures of his "relationship" with his wife. Edward's wife Josephine was his muse. She was an artist in her own right. During our visit, Artist Thomas Prose had his nature art on display. Please see attached photos of Prose's works. In the backyard, there are several benches. It appears that the museum has outdoor events. All in all, this small home museum is set up very nicely. Upon entry, there's a cute gift shop of Edward Hopper's books, sketches and more. Street parking is available.

This house isn't very big or have any of Edward Hopper's paintings, but it is an interesting…read moreglimpse into his youth that you can see how the quiet suburbs spoke to his figurative works. There is a short video and some of his early possessions and photographs, then a contemporary art exhibit, and upstairs there's one room decorated for how it would have been during Hopper's lifetime. The artist Tomokazu Matsuyama reinterpreted Hopper's work which was an interesting visual experience. There was no tour, but the employee did give us some additional information in between other people coming in to pay. She seemed very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Hopper and explained the house was in disrepair after Hopper's death and restored by a nonprofit. It's a pretty cheap self-guided experience but cool information to gather. The gift shop is minimal and parking is paid on street, but it's a cute street, so you might as well walk around a little after. For art lovers, it's a neat little spot to visit, and I'm glad it has been preserved. It's worth stopping by if you're a fan of Hopper's.
