Turkey aviator was toasted and cheese melty. It was good. A sea of lettuce. The tomatoes could have been larger or more prominent. I like tomatoes. I've had a few different salads, some of their soups, and their chicken salad. All pretty good. Again, I've never had a bad meal or experience here. Service is friendly and prompt. Food comes out quick. Place is clean. Deep booths and middle tables. Dark wood. Light atmosphere. Nice patio. For a quick sandwich soup type of deal you can't go wrong.

We ordered a grinder, a chicken salad, a kids pizza, and a few bowls of French onion soup. It must've taken at least 45 minutes to receive our food. My wife and I just ate half our meals and headed for home to get our other young guys from the bus. I finished the grinder for dinner that evening. Around 9 p things went super sideways. My stomach was destroyed. I feel like my gut is generally pretty strong but this recked me. My wife wasn't feeling well. We looked at each other and with the two of us both in bad shape we did the math. Must have been some spoiled meat. I was up all night with all the fun (graphic) symptoms of food poisoning. Feeling much better today. Hind site is always 20/20 but I would never take my family back to Grinders. We should have saw some red flags but we didn't. Terrible experience. Couldn't recommend this one to an enemy.

We were greeted by a sweet smiling young woman who sat us in a cozy both with the sounds of Italian music playing softly overhead. Christine, one of the owners took excellent care of us for our lunch. BELIEVE it when I say service was impeccable! She was so attentive, made suggestions and brought my spouse a sample of wine he was unsure of trying. That was such a nice gesture! THE FOOD was incredibly good! I had the Eggplant Parmesan which is my go to for Italian dishes- oh my- perfectly done! Just enough crispness to the outer eggplant. Sauce was DELICIOUS! My spouse had angel hair pasta with a huge meatball on top. He was a very happy man as his measure of a good Italian meal are the Meatballs! We shared a freshly made Antipasto salad to start our meal and had more than enough for two. Can't forget to mention the warm bread with balsamic and oil dipping sauce that came with our meal. Spouse had some of their freshly homemade key lime Gelato for desert and I sampled a few flavors thanks to Christine's generosity! So yum! It is a little bit of fruit, a little vanilla, a little cotton candy, a little touch of magic. This was my first time at this location. My family and I have been going to the one on 44 since I was a child. Homemade ice cream. Generous portions. A happy summer memory. One barbecue, which we both really enjoy on the regular. One order I got plain wings with a side of the Nathan sauce. We have a six-year-old and he really enjoyed the plain wings. I gotta say, I think I'm gonna do the plain wings from now on with a side of the sauce. They were extra crispy and just cooked perfectly! I will also say this as a long time customer now...
