Excellent food, excellent service, beautiful shop! Love that they are in the North Hills! And coming up on a year anniversary for this location

First to review?! WOOT! So after seeing this location take QUITE some time to renovate since being purchased the excitement to visit was peaked. On that note the inside looks GREAT. A much needed total renovation from the old and dark pizzeria it used to be. 2 nice large TVs sit on the wall facing the street and play the local Pittsburgh sports games (nice touch). Plenty of tables to sit at and a bar that faces the street where one can enjoy their food. The bar seating made me think that this new pizzeria would offer single pizza slice options but unfortunately that wasn't so. One can hope that that will be an option one day (fingers crossed). Now let's get to the most important part... the food. Again a little background here about myself... i'm a NYC to Pittsburgh transplant so the bar is set a little high when it comes to pizza. To cut to the chase i'd give the pizza itself a 6.7 on the scale most know of on the socials. I was seeing pies come out of the oven with burnt bubbles on the crust and got pretty excited... as pictured though ours didn't come out like that. The sauce and cheese used are very tasty and give the pizza an all around good taste. Undercarriage had a nice crisp to it but after tasting the crust it was evident that it needed to be cooked just a little longer. Definitely going to be visiting again and asking if it can be made extra crispy with extra sauce. I'll update the review after that. Just a quick observation here. The "Specialty" Buffalo Chicken Pizza was seen numerous times while dining. That thing looked GOOD. But keeping it to the norm of judging a new Pizzeria the plain pie and Italian Sammich was used for par. Getting to said Italian Sammich we ordered it to see where the bar sat in regards to non-pizza fare but were told that they were out of all hoagies. Being pleasantly surprised we were visited by a woman (forgot to ask her name) that told us that they indeed did have an Italian and how would we like it. Asked for it will all the fixings... and WOW. Although it lacked a solid amount of meats (again this could just be a NYC/NJ Deli Scale thing) it tasted GREAT. This review was teetering at a 3 Star... but that hoagie took it right to a solid 4. Will DEFINITELY be back to try all of their other subs/hoagies/grinders. Apparently they sell their Italian Hoagie Sauce... although that's pretty tempting, supporting a local (and especially new) business is the name of the game. We also got Pepper Cheese Balls w/ Ranch and Zucchini Sticks w/ Marinara Sauce. Just going to say that these are indeed "Munchies" and fit their bill. Standard fare really. I'd offer some advice to the owner and maybe make your own Ranch Dressing. I think it's blasphemous but some REALLY enjoy that stuff on/with their pizza. Having it come in a little package with no cup seemed a little corner cutting. On a positive note that Marinara Sauce was EXCELLENT. Another plus here is their beverage selection. This isn't just a Coke and/or Pepsi place. These guys have a plethora of artisanal sodas. Better yet... not only do they have 1919 Root beer (favorite for pizza) but the standard Pittsburgh staple Turner's Ice Tea. Whoever is in charge of that... WELL DONE! I wish this new pizzeria nothing but the very best of luck and will indeed be back (even if it's just for a lunch time sammich and soda). Considering there are 3 other places to grab a pizza (or just a slice) within walking distance/short drive it may be a challenge. But I will say that this pizza is nothing like the other 3 down the road and will most definitely stand out for most!

Great food and friendly staff. Pizza taste just like the original in Squirrel Hill. Will definitely return for more Pizza and Breadsticks.

Bought a pizza opening night. Could barely claim it was a pepperoni pizza. Pizza was burnt on one side. Unfortunately, we got it to go.

This is the best pizza in the North Hills. Just as great as the Squirrel Hill location.

Maisie's Pizza is a family-owned and -operated restaurant that opened in 2008. Their foods are…read moreavailable for pickup and for delivery within a 4-mile radius. Menu items include not only pizzas but also appetizers (e.g., fries, jalapeño poppers, and provolone sticks), salads, hoagies, pepperoni rolls, strombolis, calzones, gyros, wings, etcetera. Prices are reasonable. On a Friday afternoon, I ordered food for delivery. I did not see online ordering, so I placed my order over the phone. An employee immediately answered the phone, and he took my order and credit-card numbers. About 45 minutes later, an employee delivered the foods to me on time. He made pleasant conversation about his fun, gigantic pen that I used to sign the receipt, and he said, "Thank you!" Here are my reviews for the foods: Maisie sticks - 4 stars - The online menu describes these Maisie sticks as "thick soft garlic breadsticks with dipping sauce," but the ones that I received were topped with cheese. Did I receive the wrong breadsticks? Well, they tasted good. Cheddar-steak hoagie - 4.5 stars - This hoagie typically contains steak, onions, mushrooms, green peppers, cheddar cheese sauce, but my husband requested no green peppers. The employee correctly made the hoagie without the green peppers. I saw lots of steak and cheese. As my husband ate the hoagie, he said, "Yeah, I like this thing!" Pizza with broccoli - 4.5 stars - I had requested a small pizza with thin crust, but the crust looked more like regular crust. I had chosen a topping of broccoli, and I thought that the employee used a good amount of fresh broccoli. I enjoyed the flavors of this pizza. Garlic wings - 4 stars - I had ordered wings in a garlic flavor. Perhaps I should have chosen a spicier flavor, because my husband described the garlic as the "plainest ever." These wings were cooked well. On the menu, I saw "Jocey Bites," but I did not ask the restaurant what they are. Does anyone here know what "Jocey Bites" are? Thank you!

I never could understand why people eat outside in downtown places where cars drive by them 5 feet away. The beers were OK, nothing really special but OK. They have a little bar outside so getting a refill was quick and easy. The don't serve any kind of hard spirits. My wife isn't a beer drinker so one of the bartenders at the inside bar mixed her up a drink with seltzer and something else(tea) which she found to be quite tasty, so i tipped her generously for having the ambition to please a customer. Where they fell down IMO was their pizza. It just wasn't very good. We had several versions of their Sicilian to choose from. The cheese was generous, but the crust was doughy and heavy, the sauce was flavorless, and the toppings were very stingy. A big piece of Sicilian pizza with 3 slices of pepperoni is not good. I checked out their menu and was stunned at the prices they are getting for those pizzas. WAY overpriced. Of course i didn't have to pay for them since it was a party, but knowing what their pizza is like i would never go back there and pay those prices. The wings were just OK, pretty mediocre. Parking is a joke. No where near enough spots for the size of the place. Overall it was just OK, i would not return. There are better places for the same or less money.
