There was no one at the desk at first, but one of the acupuncturists soon came out and checked me in. She showed me where the restrooms were, asked me to take a seat and said my acupuncturist would soon be with me. My acupuncturist asked me some health questions in the private room where I was to have my treatment. She listened and didn't dismiss anything I said like my regular doctor often does. Then she explained where she would be inserting the needles and why. She also went into detail about what I could expect during the session, which I appreciated. Most of the needle insertions were painless, but a few hurt a bit. The pain went away quickly. The acupuncturist turned out the lights and left the room as I laid on my back on the table with the needles in me. I couldn't feel them as long as I didn't move. I'm not sure how long I laid there, but it was very warm and relaxing with gentle music playing. I almost fell asleep. I had a button I could press if I needed help and the acupuncturist checked on me a couple times. She removed the needles and then had me rollover on to my stomach for cupping on my upper back to help with pain relief in my neck and shoulders. After the session my migraine was gone and my neck and shoulder pain had decreased. I made several more appointments and look forward to them.

It will just force me to book out further for my appointments :P I hurt my back in Nov 2021. Pulled it the worst I've ever done it playing basketball. Not too sure what happened, but I was unable to walk for the entire day. Luckily another chiropractor at that time (first time seeing one) was able to adjust me to help in recovery during the holidays. Fast forward a few months...my back has never been the same. I get scared that I'll pull it that bad again, and my exercise plans will be further pushed back. I went through my insurance and found Dr. Cermeno was an option. After doing google searches for at least the 30 closest to me, I decided to take the hail mary with Dr. Cermeno. Appreciate the previous Yelp reviews to give some context of what to expect! I was a bit skeptical at first since no one was answering the phones, so I decided to try their email. After a few days of no responses and me about to lose hope, someone got back to me. After a few email exchanges back and forth, I scheduled my appointment. The office is in a building right next to Valley Fair. Parking (when I go) is easy. Lots of space. They have their own designated lot. The first assessment went well. Dr. Cermeno listened to my previous injuries, what I've done so far to try to treat it, and what I'm looking for. After a few assessments, she diagnosed my problem areas and focused on them with deep tissue before the adjustments. I had such a good experience, I immediately scheduled my next visit and it has been history since! I really enjoy Dr. Cermeno's approach. She isn't pushing you to purchase adjustments or buy any services. She doesn't even want to see you unless you really need it or she thinks you'll actually benefit coming in on a more frequent basis. It was definitely a mental block looking for a good chiropractor, and I'm so glad I found Dr. Cermeno. My road to recovery will definitely take some time and hard work on my own personally, but I'm relieved to have Dr. Cermeno as a resource to strengthen my overall body wellness. Most Acup places told me that I have frozen shoulder but I've been complaining I don't, I can move my shoulder but I have pain when my shoulder laid back not moving and no solutions found. Simply I couldn't look up at sealing tiles or lights because of my shoulder pain. I tried 12" long needle, 100 needles around my shoulder and neck at the same time but nothing ever worked. I gave up to fix it until I met him. He knew the exact problem on my shoulder and first time ever had a relief with his treatment. Now my shoulder pain is mostly gone. Thanks to him.
