I have been going to Lokahi Acupuncture for about a year and a half now. I experienced some secondary infertility after having my first daughter 3 years ago since it took us much longer to conceive the second time. I had the pleasure to work with Cathryn and Yun Hee and they both helped me a lot in my journey to get pregnant again.  I finally got pregnant early this year! I can't say for sure that acupuncture helped me conceive entirely or it was just a major coincidence, but it did help me de-stress, relax, and have an hour to myself of peace and quiet.  I highly recommend Lokahi Acupuncture for all your fertility needs or just to de-stress in general! Had acupuncture and cupping for the first time this evening for chronic migraines. The office lobby was warm and inviting when I walked in. There was no one at the desk at first, but one of the acupuncturists soon came out and checked me in. She showed me where the restrooms were, asked me to take a seat and said my acupuncturist would soon be with me. My acupuncturist asked me some health questions in the private room where I was to have my treatment. She listened and didn't dismiss anything I said like my regular doctor often does. Then she explained where she would be inserting the needles and why. She also went into detail about what I could expect during the session, which I appreciated. Most of the needle insertions were painless, but a few hurt a bit. The pain went away quickly. The acupuncturist turned out the lights and left the room as I laid on my back on the table with the needles in me. I couldn't feel them as long as I didn't move. I'm not sure how long I laid there, but it was very warm and relaxing with gentle music playing. I almost fell asleep. I had a button I could press if I needed help and the acupuncturist checked on me a couple times. She removed the needles and then had me rollover on to my stomach for cupping on my upper back to help with pain relief in my neck and shoulders. After the session my migraine was gone and my neck and shoulder pain had decreased. I made several more appointments and look forward to them. read more

This review is for Julie Dalla and her amazing massages! I'm no stranger to Swedish massages and Julie gave me some of the best massages I've ever had. Every session was different which I really liked because it wasn't predictable. I would go to her every time I had a weekday off as a treat to myself because why not. Just recently, I had some lower back pain probably due to my long commute and Julie completely fixed it. I was blown away because I was only expecting some relief. The massage room is clean and relaxing and they do not accept gratuity because it is a medical office. I came to Dr. Shamapant to see if I could do anything for my hip arthritis. I've done chiropractic, strength training, stretching, medical massage--anything to prolong the need for surgery or cortisone. While all those treatments worked well, I still had a dull pain that seems to never go away. Other than the brain, the hip seems to be the most finicky part of one's body. Janine at the front desk was super nice. You immediately feel welcomed. Dr. Shamapant took time to review my intake forms (which were painless), asked me about my condition, and then pretty much got to work. It was my first time doing any acupuncture, so she explained everything to build trust and confidence. The needles are really painless. She also did a cupping treatment. I have been a client for many years now, and have seen different acupuncturists. JB took great care of me when I had a shoulder injury, and I still use many of the at home exercises he has given me to maintain a healthy shoulder. I brought my son in to work with Smirti, because my son's allergies were not improving with just modern medicine. Smirti is great with kids and teens, and made every visit fun and comfortable for my teen. She also does amazing microneedling work! The last acupuncturist that changed my life is Cathryn Davidson. I am in perimenopause, and when I came to her I was not feeling like myself. She listened to everything I said about what I was experiencing at every visit. This review is long overdue. I apologize for that. This place has always been five stars in my book. Acupuncture is often used to treat infertility and I was desperate to have a child after almost four years of trying. IVF wasn't doing it so I wanted to say I tried everything in order to have children. I found Lokahi on Yelp I believe. Jeanene is the sweetest receptionist btw. I met with Anna. Even though I haven't meet many English ladies, she is the sweetest British woman I've ever met in my life. Very gentle, calming, and comforting demeanor. I almost always fell asleep during a session. She always made me feel at peace and relaxed, and she also was a compassionate ear when IVF cycles failed. Miraculously whether it be from the acupuncture or from the man above, I got pregnant and it was all natural. I was so excited to see Anna for my next appointment. I felt like she had held my hand throughout this rough ride. She provided me with excellent care up until I gave birth. I feel bad that I haven't reached out since then, but they know how much I appreciate them. Years have passed now, and I have my miracle son (four years old now) and also a 22 month old daughter, and I do believe Lokahi was an essential role in that. This is my first time to visit Lokahi Acupuncture. I saw JB because I felt that he would be the ideal practitioner. After all, he specializes in sports medicine and my injury or pain is sports-related. He evaluated my pain points and performed scraping therapy followed by acupuncture. I had my second Maya Abdominal Massage with Susannah Lee today, and what a treat it was! I know it's helping my body to detox and heal, but it's also so relaxing in the process. Susannah has a very gentle, intuitive, and nurturing touch. Being in her care for an hour and a half will leave you feeling rejuvenated and restored. I know this type of massage is very helpful for fertility. I sought it out for chronic pain and general wellbeing. I usually flare up easily from massage because it sends my body into detox, but Susannah adjusted the intensity of her care to suit my needs, and I've done just fine.
