In August 2022, I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea at 28 years old after participating in a sleep study at Sutter Health. During the study, I had 54 AHI events per hour (almost 1 event per minute). The doctors made it clear if that I didn't treat my sleep apnea that this could lead to an early death. I called every CPAP company in the bay and eventually called Air for Life. I was able to talk to Jon on the phone immediately and come in that same day. He apologized for the poor communication and promised to do better as the office is moving to San Jose and they are hiring. The owner is very experienced and knowledgeable. The good: Before I switched to Medicare, the owner warned me that Medicare will want an updated Rx for my sleep apnea machine and supplies. They had a discount on CPAP machines and was better price compared to other companies I called. The nurse was helpful in answering questions and they provide a warranty and f one year in addition to the two year manufacturer warranty per the nurse. When I picked up the cpap machine the nurse seemed less friendly and in a hurry so it made it uncomfortable for me to ask more questions about the set up. When I asked about the one year warranty air for life provides and if there's a brochure or info in writing. She seemed dismissive and she said yes they have a one year warranty and didn't say anything more about it and continued to worn on set up so I didn't want to insist because she seemed in a hurry. read more

Stay away. This place does not answer their phones, so I drop by to order a cpap machine. They promised to have it in 2 days. I explained I needed for travel. They said that they would courier to me. I left 3 voicemails, and still no reply. I had my doctor reach out to them. My doctors office also left them a voicemail and still no reply. After several weeks without the use of a cpac machine. I am disappointed they dont care. I had $1200 in cash to give them. I would not recommend a company that lets people without the use use of a breathing CPAP machine. After a sleep study, I was officially diagnosed with sleep apnea which validates why I was always so tired, irritable, and experience a mental fog throughout the day even though I slept for a healthy amount of time (Ave. 7hrs.). My sleep doctor recommended that I use a CPAP machine and mentions shopping around to expedite treatment since we are currently in a nationwide shortage. I had used the 24-hour hotline listed on the Air For Life website and was able to get into contact with someone at 8 pm. We scheduled an appointment the following day at 1 pm.
