04/13/26, I went to the Jefferson County Courthouse in Birmingham, Alabama today to get a…read morereplacement driver's license, and a really nice lady named Toni helped me. I had lost my wallet at home and was trying to get everything taken care of. She explained the newer document rules to prove identity, such as needing things like a birth certificate, and she was very helpful and polite. A friend who was with me asked if there was anything else that might work, such as an old driver's license, and Toni kindly checked and let us know that would help. I came back with it and was able to get my replacement license. Later, she even stopped by and kindly asked if I got my license. I told her yes, and that she was a really nice lady. I appreciated her kindness and helpful attitude very much. God bless! Mark H. Elders

I am elated to be here for them as they've been there for me in ways that I could never repay them for (has nothing to do with the review I know) I do dislike that all of the ministers here refuse to marry same sex couples here. I know it's their personal choice but it's disheartening all the same. Only one does and he's here only on Friday's and not all day and they refused to give us his information so we had to find someone. Thank God that the pastor that was due to marry me in July was available short notice. The testars is for the discrimination we felt being here today. Either way what we came for was accomplished and my besties got married.

The downtown historic area is listed in the National Historic Registry for historical sites. This city hall houses the Mayor's office, the police department, the municipal courts, clerk's office, business licenses, zoning and subdivision information. For more information http://trussville.org/ There are two markers on this property that I could see. The first is in front of the city hall. It reads: Trussville The town of Trussvile was named for the Truss family who emigrated from North Carolina in the early 1820's. Trussville was incorporated in 1947. The present city hall was constructed in 1959 on land patented in 1821 by Warren Truss. The second marker looks to be a poem. It reads The Gateway to Happy Living Trussville is a marvelous town. The Gateway to Happy Living. Its people will not let you down; They're known for generous giving. Trussville has that quaint, village feel, And small town hospitality. Where love and kindness are so real. And there's peace and tranquility. A town of churches, parks and schools. The place that's best to raise children. Where they are taught to keep the rules And to be a good citizen. A town where fun is common place. With lots of wholesome recreation. A town renowned for charm and grace And its people's dedication. A small city with lots of pride. And a large city's advantage, Where the best folk on earth reside, And fulfill their great heritage, The greatest town upon this earth, Chock-full of people of good will, It's hard to tell how much it's worth To raise a family in Trussville. You knew this would be record turn out and given the fact that Alabama refuses to allow early voting, you knew there would be long lines. You like to boast about the tremendous growth that Trussville has seen over the past 5-10 years, but that also means updating things that you maybe only think about, oh, let's say.. every 4 years. I really hope you take this situation and make changes before the next election... 3.5 hours of waiting in line was entirely too long.
