Great experience at Air Margaritaville Miami! The service was fast, friendly, and efficient from start to finish. The staff made the ambiance / experience enjoyable, especially Jennifer at the bar. She provided outstanding customer service, was welcoming, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect. I highly recommend trying the Last Mango in the Chain cocktail, it was absolutely delicious and one of the highlights of my visit. This was an unplanned airport trip that didn't involve actual traveling as I was attending a community wall art exhibition inauguration in the arrivals section. We were famished and needed a reset, so the only thing on our minds was grabbing a quick meal on our way out. Aside from the many more options within the departure terminals after TSA, there weren't many choices before TSA, so we opted for Margaritaville. I ordered their Asian chicken salad, and my colleague went with the trio app sampler. It was basically an overload of wonton crisps on top, lettuce, grilled chicken, and the overly sweet toasted sesame dressing. Not quite hitting the mark for what I paid, if I'm being honest. But when you're hungry, you'll settle. My colleague wasn't a fan of the Caribbean rolls, but was otherwise satisfied with everything else on her app sampler. The most enjoyable part of this location, hands down, was the people watching while you eat. That alone made it worth the stop. If I had to guess what they do best, I'd say their burgers, after taking a quick gander at everyone else's plates, and most especially their drinks, since the bar stayed busy. Go figure. I might give their restaurant in Hollywood a shot since I've heard decent things, but the airport experience isn't something I'd use to judge the brand overall. No one is happy working there, no one. This is my 3rd visit. I am thinking that since it's an airport restaurant, workers who enjoy this is hard to find and also they have a high shuffle of customers push through. The decor is beautiful, right on point with the signature Margaritaville theme. Its located right outside the military lounge which is a plus for me. After sitting for about 10 minutes and several staff passing without one acknowledgement, I figured I should go to the bar and ask for a menu. The last visit I gave this place a 3 star but the food has greatly improved and the bartender carried this review, so it gets upgraded lol. read more

One of the highlights was definitely the people-watching--it was surprisingly entertaining to sit back and take it all in while enjoying our meal. Food-wise, we went with the salads, and they were light, fresh, and very refreshing. Perfect for a travel day when you don't want something too heavy. Everything was nicely presented and tasted just as good as it looked. Overall, I'd say this was a good experience for airport dining. We walked in and there was immediately no greeting, the hostess walked us to our table and slapped the menus down so immediately the service is terrible. Our drinks came (after a quick conversation with a super uninterested server) and they had absolutely no liquor in them, they had not cleaned one table in the entire 30 minutes we had been sitting down or picked up the floor for that matter. This is a place to avoid. Better off staying hungry in all honesty. Our nachos came out cold and soggy. The chicken tenders were overcooked & tasted like fish. Like they cook them in the same oil as the fish sticks. The mac & cheese is 100% just kraft out of the box. At least the fries were solid. Pretty sure it's just the frozen TGIF ones. This place is nestled in the huge landscape of the Miami International Airport. There were 2 sections of seating and both were busy. Our waitress had us seated quickly and kept us company as we searched the menu. There were a lot of menu items. I chose the Crusted shrimp and an order of ribs. They both included a side salad. I also ordered "a night Paris", which is an adult beverage. The food came very quickly and helped me to have a meal, before my flight. The time we were there was fun. They have music playing, but it's low enough to still hold conversations. The shrimp were crispy and sweet. The ribs were cooked to perfection. The BBQ sauce on the ribs tasted homemade and had the right balance. The pricing was very reasonable, for an airport restaurant. Our waitress built a rapport with us, very quickly, yet naturally.
