Our A/C conked out recently, in the evening no less. I went online and got the names of 4 highly rated HVAC outfits and submitted a request for help. All four emailed me back, but Gilbert emailed me twice. I contacted him and he was able to come out that afternoon. I'm sure any of the four companies would have been able to get my A/C back up and running, but I'm sure glad I had Gilbert come out. He diagnosed the problem right away, cleaned out the A/C system and the furnace, installed the parts (yes, he had them on hand), and just like that, our A/C was pumping out cold air again. Now, I know all this may seem clinical and impersonal, but Gilbert is anything but. Professionalism, diligence, customer care, "going the extra mile", all these things aside, there's respect. Respect, not only for his customers and their needs, but respect for himself, for the work he's doing and the job he's performing to solve his customer's problem. He's very personable and easy going. We talked about "this and that" the whole time he was bringing my system back to life and continued to "chew the fat" after he was done. We even found a shared connection with the California Central Valley. It seems we were both living and working there, traveling the same streets and roads through some of the same towns at the time. It's not often when you call a company you actually get the owner of it on the phone. Not only did Mr Olvera answer the phone he was the one that actually came out. When I called him initially he asked me to text my phone address, etc and to describe the issue at hand. He called me back within 45 minutes and stated "I'm on my way". Once he arrived he was extremely thorough and explained in detail my options. Repairs were completed quickly, efficiently and reasonably. It is truly difficult in today's environment to find someone and someone's company like this. His work is guaranteed for 1 year. Jess upsold us the ribeye pupus and we were exceedingly pleased with that. It was so delicious. The curry shrimp was the best curry we have had on island and we have been on island a lot! After leaving a message for routine A/C service, no one could be bothered to call me back...they are not the only ones who didn't. Locating a great HVAC contractor in Southern New Mexico is hard. I received three quotes before I called Airmax. I had a good feeling after the first conversation and had Airmax come to my home.
