Overpriced. Went for a hydrafacial. They never disclose prices until it comes time to pay... ouch!!! Pushing their products. A whole lot of money for nothing. Don't go! Went for a bikini wax a few weeks ago, was greeted politely and thought I would give this particular service here a try as I had had other treatments (facials, massages) here before. It is a lot cheaper than most places charge, and it shows. I got to the table and a younger lady came in, I told her that I wanted everything gone, and she nodded her head saying "brazilian, everything gone, perfect" i'm not exaggerating when I say my appointment lasted less than 10 minutes. She put BOILING hot wax onto me, and when I expressed my discomfort she said it was "normal" for it to be that hot, having had waxes every six weeks I know it isn't normal. After putting on the wax she put two paper strips on each side of my legs and ripped promptly, didn't hold down the skin to minimize discomfort at all. She then said "thank you" and walked out the room before I could say anything. I was confused as she had put a strip half covering each side. There was still wax on me that she hadn't removed. How is that "everything gone?" I quickly got dressed and went downstairs, the lady at the front desk asked how it was. I told her I was very unhappy and wanted more removed and that I would like my waxing lady to come back and finish the job, I was then informed she had GONE HOME. The lady said there was nothing that she could do and promptly handed me the point of sale system to pay. She then said they were closing so I had no choice but to go home. I called the next day and they said there was nothing that could be done. They were happy to take my money, but refused to fix it, or be professional, so I had to go and pay elsewhere to have it fixed and the job finished. The appointment left wax on me that was painful to remove since it had hardened, and I was left sore and bruised since she had not held down the skin and just yanked the strips off of me. The management was extremely poor, and so was the service. I will not be coming back and have deterred multiple friends from going to suffer the same fate that I did. Just a cash grab with poorly trained staff. Cheap price for a cheap service. read more

There's a sign as you walk in the front door. "If you like our services, please tell others. If you don't like our services, please tell us". Meanwhile, there's nowhere on their website that I can send my comment. So....yelp it is! I had a pleasant enough experience. I liked the young lady that did my eyebrow wax, my facial and my pedicure. I didn't speak much to the gal that did my massage (she was THAT good!). I got home to notice that my eyebrows didn't even match each other. I told the girl that I didn't want to lose thickness - just clean them up a bit. As someone that is very particular about my eyebrows - this is, after all, where people look when they are talking to me - I was more than mad and disappointed. I ended up cutting my left one to match what was left of my right one. Then, I had to narrow my left one to match the right one. And, I had to shorten my left one to match my right one. Now, I have half the eyebrows that I normally have. I went for a family dinner that evening and my mother asked if I got a little out of hand with the wax..... My pedicure was almost relaxing. Other than the fact that she cut one toenail so short that it bled a little bit. A friend informed me that I should watch that I don't get an ingrown nail from that nasty little nail. (She told me to shove cotton under my nail when it gets long enough and then it won't grow into the side of my toe). The massage was good. Very relaxing and pampering. Exactly what I went there for. I could have saved myself about $200 (skipping the waxing, the facial and the pedicure) and gone just for the massage and my day would have been much more relaxing in the end. The spa itself is very lovely. It's in an old home and it's done up quite nicely. Snacks were put out in the afternoon. Tea and coffee were offered every time anyone walked by me. I had great expectations for this little spa and heard good things about it. When I got there I was impressed by the cleanliness and professionalism, however that is where it unfortunately ended. The lady who did my manicure and pedicure was not at all engaged in what she was doing nor did she display quality in her work. I felt like I had an amateur and was almost humoured by the lack of professionalism and finesse I was experiencing. Once my session was done, my toes got smudged as she put my flip flops on (which isn't her fault - it happens), however she wiped part of the over thick polish off but not all of it, which obviously made for a horrible base to begin again. She literally globed on some more polish on top and then left with a sharp and quick "You're done." and whoosh she disappeared. I actually laughed I was so stunned. I promptly went home, had to remove the polish since it wasn't hardening and there was no way I could wear shoes it was such a mess. I also redid my fingernails because once I looked closer, I realized the top coat was also so thick it had bubbled. So disappointing. Great set up in an old converted home so has great potential. Not quality work when it came to the nail salon side of things. Perhaps the rest of the spa has higher caliber staff. No complaints on the other staff I saw walking around, they all seemed very nice and attentive. I don't typically write reviews, but I am for sure disappointed. Not mad, just quite surprised and I wouldn't go again. I live half a block away from this place so I was excited to find a new favourite spa spot.. this didn't make my list. read more

I went to Anna's with my 8 year old daughter to celebrate her birthday. For my daughter I booked kids pedi & mani and pedicure for myself so I can watch her while getting our services together. I really like the atmosphere , very clean and relaxing. Staff is very nice. My daughter was very happy. After our services we were offered to stay back until polish get dried and told if it get chipped we can always come back & get it fixed. they do offer lot other services as well . It;s a good place in airdrie for relaxation. read more

I went to the spa for a sample treatment of laser hair removal. They were having a 50% off sale. Still not as cheap as email coupons sites. I tried it and it came up stubble within hours. Anns herself said someone would call me within 48 hours to see how the skin held up. No one did. At the test trial time, I had said I would like to try facial threading and the technician who was to do the laser would do the facial threading in advance of the laser. I cancelled the laser and kept the threading. First of all, I told the gal that I had not had it done other than a sample spot at a trade fair, so I really wasn't sure what to expect. She offered no explanation so I thought she did not speak English well enough to tell me. Then to add insult to injury, she laughed and giggled when I told her I was in pain. I understood it can be painful, but to laugh and keep working the area when I was in obvious pain??! It cost me $47 dollars for 15 minutes. I got home and found she had left a couple dozen hairs on my chin as well as complete patches were left on my face. She left my jaw line, one side of my neck and one side of my face in the upper cheek area. More insult to injury. I will not go back to Anna's. I found the service and attention to detail lacking from both Anna and from her attendant. read more

My previous 3 appointments have been bumped and given to other clients that Anna's felt required attention sooner. I should also mention that I was never notified of the changes until arriving for my service. I was patient with the first two appointments being changed as I figured maybe the other patrons did indeed need the service in a more timely manner than I did.. but this latest appointment change = 3 strikes and you are out Anna's. I cannot be forgiving/understanding any longer. read more

Went to Anna's to get a massage, nice clean facility, nice music, both my husband and myself were very happy with the spa. Because of a recent injury, I decided to try low light laser therapy, very happy with the results. Would recommend Anna's Spa for both massage and low light laser therapy. read more
