Wow, is the service offered at the corporate level ever abysmal. I was a patron of a now closed…read morelocation which, for the record, offered great care at the brick and mortar level. That said, as this previous location was closing, I asked the staff to terminate my membership as I was not interested in leaving my neighborhood to access their services. Despite making the verbal request and receiving verbal assurances that my membership would be cancelled, years later I've come to find that I've been paying monthly fees for an unwanted membership which was transferred to a new location without my permission. Upon discovering this information, I promptly reached out to the store nearest the one I previously patronized and made a secondary request to cancel my membership which was granted. Then, as I had been making years worth of payments for an unused membership, I took my concerns a step further and contacted the Fabutan Calgary corporate offices. The receptionist asked for me to provide my comments in writing; these comments were then forwarded to an individual named Helen who, to date, has offered a rather dehumanizing response. Although my membership was ultimately canceled per my ~verbal~ request, Helen continues to imply that written requests must be submitted to be considered legitimate. This does take into account the fact that, since the date I initially understood my membership to have been canceled, I have never sought further services from any Fabutan establishment. Helen is prompt to remind me that my initial waiver states that, in the event of a store closure, memberships will be transferred, however, she refuses to acknowledge that my request to terminate the membership was made which would supersede this policy. Additionally, as I am a busy professional and prefer to not communicate by way of lengthy emails, I've asked Helen numerous times to contact me by phone which has been outright refused. This all points to a standard of predatory business practices at the corporate level and gladly perpetuated by this individual, Helen. I would suggest that if you find yourself in search of the services offered by the likes of Fabutan, you take your business elsewhere.

I do ted light tanning and lashes here. The lash technician was so welcoming and did such a great job, I was very comfortable and my lashes look great. She really was attentive and thorough. The pricing is good and they have great deals. And it's easy to sign up. Parking is great considering the parking lot isnt very big. The wait times are not long which is good too. I highly recommend this salon in airdrie.

I saw a post on IG for eyelash extensions for $55 for a new set. I couldn't believe my eyes-- so I booked it. The technician was super friendly but was kinda fresh to the lash game. I thought it wouldn't be an issue until after the 3 hour application, most of the lashes would not adhere. She apologized profusely and offered a fill for the next available day--which would be about 2 days later. By the time of my appointment, I had so few lashes extensions left that the process to refill took about 3 hours again. And they fell off about a week later. Atmosphere-wise the space has potential. It was pretty bare when I was there (at the beginning of the year) but I could see that they were going for a lofty type space. I think I would try them again-- just because the technician was so nice but maybe actually book my appointment with someone with a little bit more experience.

Then i go in 3 weeks later to get a fill (and you have to book atleast 2 weeks in advance because they are always booked up) and i was 15 minutes late, shit happens and sometimes your late. I apologized while i was on the phone with them telling them i would be late and also when i got there, she told me she wouldnt be able to fill everything because i was 15 minutes late so i said yes thats fine I understand just do whatever you can. This girl made my eyelashes look so bad i was so embarrassed walking around with them, she put barely any on the outside corners of my eye which most women want a cat eye look which she would've known if she had asked me, and the ones she did put on were so clumpy and close to my waterline i couldnt stop pulling them out shortly after she had put them on. She didnt even hold the mirror up after to let me look at them and ask if i liked them just ushered me to the front to leave. A different lash tech i had take them off even commented on how horribly they were applied and that she had clumped a few of my own lashes together which is most likely why they were so uncomfortable. Long story short if you are going to Jolie Peau definitely go to Trisha or you'll highly regret it.

She is an older lady who walks around her VERY cluttered waiting room and just...re arranges things. She leaves her clients in her room for long periods of time and just putters at the front. Occasionally I have seen her talk down to her employees IN FRONT of clients and argue with them about payments and bookings. This is so unprofessional and it makes me uncomfortable to witness this. I feel bad for the employees and am surprised they have all been there for so long. It just seems to be a very poorly run business and I think I will be going elsewhere. Too bad because the ladies that work there are fantastic.
